Paul Weyrich must be auditioning for the part of Judas. What we have is an organization that endorsed Mike Huckabee for President, that is upset that their guy is not being considered for VP. What I find extremely troubling is that Paul Weyrich supported Governor Romney until recent days. In fact, regarding John McCain’s potential choice for VP, Weyrich just last month had this to say:
If he selects somebody bad from our point of view, it’s going to be very difficult,” he told the magazine. “It will reinforce prejudice against him. If he selects somebody pretty good, it’ll be moderately helpful…. It would help if he selected Mitt Romney, but he won’t.
The group responsible for turning Weyrich away from Romney, obviously used identity politics. After all, Weyrich initially found himself at odds with Romney when John McCain received Romney’s endorsement. So he supported Romney over McCain, Huckabee over McCain, and now supports McCain but not Romney??? This man has no integrity; he is a liar and a cheat. What did the group do to gain his support, threaten to take away his Christian card?
Question: If you endorse someone for President, then say that they are unfit to become Vice President, does that not say more of your lack of Judgment than theirs?
