THANK YOU for Your Generosity

This week I have felt a sense of unease. Not a feeling really, but more of an uneasy thought in the back of my mind that I could not identify. Clearly, emotions have run high this week for all the obvious reasons. But I accepted the gracious and powerful stand aside decision made by Governor Romney. Upon reading two messages of thank you this morning that were sent to me, it immediately became clear what this sense of unease was. I had not thanked you.

Over the course of my writing in this space, I have asked much of you — in fact, many times I pleaded with you to act, to contribute, to attend, to show up. So very many of you, even hundreds at times, answered the call and stepped up. I could give dozens of examples here of actions you have taken that have inspired and motivated me and others. I would specifically like to thank all of you who contributed hard-earned money, from your after-tax, take-home pay, to Governor Romney’s campaign. Truly, it has been a most humbling and sobering privilege of mine to witness the sacrifice so many people have made to Governor Romney’s efforts to serve. There is no way any person could be elected President without the direct assistance of many thousands of people. Your generosity in every way — financial resources, time, and effort — has been impressive. I wish I could thank every one of you in person. Please accept this thank you note as my sincere gratitude for your generosity and for stepping up at such an important time.

Just below (click on Continue Reading) are notes of gratitude to you from two national leaders of Governor Romney’s campaign, David Parker and David Bradford.

NOW IS THE TIME TO STEP UP — Please Help

Flag Waving

Governor Romney needs your help now more than ever (see link below). Many of you have maxed out in your contributions to Governor Romney’s campaign:

THANK YOU!

Did you know that if you maxed out in your contributions last year, that was only for the primary season? Starting now, the Mitt Romney for President, Inc. campaign is accepting contributions to the general election and they are really needed now. Please help again if you can.

If you have the resources to max out your contribution again as an individual ($2,300) or as a couple ($4,600), please do so so here and now. The campaign is going to have to shift into high gear this week to take on a strong, national campaign.

Please click this official campaign form to make your campaign contribution:

OFFICIAL MITT ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT CONTRIBUTION FORM

Any contribution of any amount is needed! There is no contribution that is too small. Please know that any money you contribute is spent very wisely. Did you know that most of Governor Romney’s air travel is paid by the media? Did you know that Governor Romney tries to stay in relatively inexpensive hotels like the Hampton Inn? Read this post and linked article ——–> Air Travel

My point? Governor Romney is very frugal and does everything in his power to maximize all campaign funds so you can know that any contribution you make will be used most wisely.

Again, THANK YOU so much for your past contributions in support of Governor Romney’s presidential bid.

If you make a contribution, please leave a comment at this blog (if you wish) to inspire other readers to contribute.

~ Vic

Update on Devon

My daughter Jessica and Cousin Devon 11 days apart…
Jessica and Devon

As most of you know by my blog posts over the past couple of weeks, my nephew (my brother’s second oldest child) is dying of —>Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, or ALL. It is not likely that by this time tomorrow that he will be with us.
Devon June 2007
I was so fortunate to speak to him on the phone yesterday morning and hear a strong voice. I was also able to make sure that what I wished for him to have (two packs of orange tick tacks…one of his favorite treats) were given to him. He is a very special boy, one that I will always be honored to have known. I appreciate all of the monetary donations toward his funeral and burial expenses, love, thoughts, and prayers that you’ve embraced my family and me with these past couple of weeks. At this point I would just like to ask for two things, one that you hold those that you love dear and closer than ever (you never know when they might part this earth…Devon is only 11), and that you continue to pray for our family during this extremely painful time. We’re sure going to miss that kid. Thanks to all, and goodnight!

If you’re still interested in donating to “The Devon Curling Fund” you still can through the following two methods:

You can donate via credit card to my PayPal account and I will write a big check to be deposited in the fund:

Or you can write a check, and mail to the following:

Happy Thanksgiving from Ann Marie

I only have a few moments, as I’m having one heck of a special Thanksgiving with my family. But, I had to post a little something.

I am Thankful to all of you visitors to this site. I know some of you have been here since day one. What a long road it’s been, and it’s almost unbelievable that the Iowa caucuses are just within our midst now. Because of each and every one of you, this site has a Google ranking that I couldn’t have ever dreamed was possible. You have come back time and time again, you’ve been here through the ups and the downs, and just look where our guy is today. Thank You so much for being so loyal. I can’t tell you how much it means.

Lastly, I have to thank all the bloggers. Without all of you this site would be nothing, I may have started it, but you gave it the meat and the life to breathe. You all have taken your time, efforts, and intellect to keep this going strong, and for that I’ll never forget you :)

I especially have to thank Jeff. Jeff you were the first person to offer me relief. You were the first one that I could trust with this site without a fear of anything. It means so much to me that you were willing to do so much to keep the site going when I was going through major stress and trials in my life. You deserve so many accolades for that, and appreciation. I’ll never forget coming to Iowa and staying with your hospitable family and getting that first opportunity to meet the man whom will be our next President. I’m indebted to you for making that a reality. Thanks again!

Nate I thank you for helping with technical aspects of the site. I thank you for taking initiatives to change things up, and offer bigger and better solutions on how to make the site a better one. You’re a great guy, and one that I’m so glad to call a friend.

Mike, wow, it’s hard to even say all that you’ve done. You’ve been the most archived blogger of all of Governor Romney’s accomplishments. I’m so grateful that you also took up the mantle of keeping this site active during the slow times. Thanks again for all that you do, and continue to do.

Last but not least, I have to thank Vic. I never thought that a campaign would foster such close friendships, but this one sure has. Vic, you’ve been my rock. You’ve been the person that I’ve been the most able to bounce stuff off of and get the most honest feedback. You are a one in a million friend. We’ve spent many an hour on the phone talking about politics forever. I’m so grateful that I was able to meet you in Boston in June, and put a face to that warm voice. I hope you never forget how grateful I am for your friendship.

A little P.S. I have to thank the person for whom this site wouldn’t be necessary the man himself Mitt Romney. You’ve given me hope for this country, I can listen to you speak and know that everything will be alright in the world. You’re the “real deal”. You’re a leader, a businessman, a husband, and father, a grandfather, but to all of us you’re our friend. We can count on you to keep your word, we can rest assured that when you’re elected president that the country will be in able and capable hands. You care about our country, our economy, our families, our health, you’re the entire package. I look so forward to January 20, 2009 when you’re sworn in as our next President of the United States.

With Love to All on this Lovely Thanksgiving Day 2007,

Ann Marie Curling
