Huckabee and Rudy made the Top 10…

…most wanted corrupt politicians.

Here’s what they say:

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R-NY): Giuliani came under fire in late 2007 after it was discovered the former New York mayor’s office “billed obscure city agencies for tens of thousands of dollars in security expenses amassed during the time when he was beginning an extramarital relationship with future wife Judith Nathan in the Hamptons…” ABC News also reported that Giuliani provided Nathan with a police vehicle and a city driver at taxpayer expense. All of this news came on the heels of the federal indictment on corruption charges of Giuliani’s former Police Chief and business partner Bernard Kerik, who pleaded guilty in 2006 to accepting a $165,000 bribe in the form of renovations to his Bronx apartment from a construction company attempting to land city contracts.

Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR): Governor Huckabee enjoyed a meteoric rise in the polls in December 2007, which prompted a more thorough review of his ethics record. According to The Associated Press: “[Huckabee’s] career has also been colored by 14 ethics complaints and a volley of questions about his integrity, ranging from his management of campaign cash to his use of a nonprofit organization to subsidize his income to his destruction of state computer files on his way out of the governor’s office.” And what was Governor Huckabee’s response to these ethics allegations? Rather than cooperating with investigators, Huckabee sued the state ethics commission twice and attempted to shut the ethics process down.

I don’t know this group, but you can’t argue with what they’ve outlined above.

Rudy, Judy, and the NYPD car service

It get’s even worse…

Not only did Rudy hide the expenses incurred for his tom-catting trips out to the Hamptons…

Not only did Judith Nathan (the kept woman) use the NYPD as her personal car service…

she even made the NYPD transport her friends and family when she wasn’t even with them!!

…Six years later, presidential candidate Giuliani is facing questions about that security. A source involved with the mayor’s operations at the time tells CBS 2 HD that Nathan took flagrant advantage of that police car and driver.

The source says Nathan forced police to chauffeur her friends and family around the city — even when she wasn’t in the car.

That set off alarms with ethics watchdogs.

“The rules are clear, you can’t use city resources for private reasons,” said Gene Russianoff of the New York Public Interest Research Group. “And if you’re using a city car, a police driven car to chauffeur around relatives, unless they’re explicitly protected and their deemed to be the subject of potential security threats, it’s just wrong.”

Nathan’s detail was approved by the NYPD after a stranger made an unspecified threat to her. The commissioner at the time was Bernard Kerik, who was recently indicted on tax fraud charges in an unrelated matter.

“It wasn’t about her being the mayor’s girlfriend,” Kerik said. “The person spoke to her by name and made comments to her.”

On Friday, Giuliani avoided reporters’ questions about the security for Nathan back then. He told reporters off camera “we’ve explained it.”

Giuliani’s press secretary, Maria Comella, angrily denounced the use of an unnamed source in this story.

But she did not deny the assertion that Nathan used her police detail to ferry around friends and family.

And she repeated what Giuliani has said about reports questioning how his security detail was financed, saying, “This is nothing more than partisan politics aimed at the Republican front-runner.”

A vote for Rudy = a vote for Rudy
A vote for Huckabee = a vote for Rudy

Do we really want Rudy to represent our party? Can you imagine what Judy will do if she gets a hold of Air Force One and the White House?

A Giuliani administration is likely to be rife with cronyism and criminality

Remembering that a vote for Mike, Fred, John, or Rudy…is a vote for Rudy, here is a glimpse of what we are setting ourselves up for with a Rudy candidacy (and ultimately Presidency).

First, here is a sobering story of Giuliani’s history of cronyism, elevating corrupt and incompetent loyalists to positions of power over his time as NYC mayor.

Second, here is an eye opening account of how Giuliani exploited the court system and activist judges to attack the 2nd amendment, defend sanctuary cities, keep taxes in place, and fight the line item veto.

Finally, here is the link to a couple videos which detail the sordid story of Alan Placa. Alan is a former priest and known child molester who also happens to be one of Giuliani’s best friends. Giuliani has protected Alan along the way and has even employed him at his firm Giuliani Partners.

If you are a Romney supporter, now is the time to act! there are only about two weeks before the first absentee ballots are potentially cast in New Hampshire, and the Iowa Caucuses will be upon us in less than six weeks! Donate, volunteer, talk with your family, friends, and co-workers. If we all get involved and work toward Mitt’s election it will definitely happen! (If you would like to help out but don’t know how to get involved, leave a comment and we’ll try to point you in the right direction).

If you are supporting anyone beside Romney, recognize that is de-facto support for Rudy. This primary is going to be won by either Rudy or Romney. If you have problems with Rudy’s liberal views on abortion, marriage, immigration, 2nd amendment, and taxation, please take another look at Mitt Romney and consider giving him your support. Any questions? Leave a comment and we’ll do our best to address it!

Bernard Kerik Surrenders to Authorities, Awaits Arraignment on Federal Charges

November 9th, 2007 | Comments Off | Posted in Bernard Kerik, Character, Integrity, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani

From Fox News:

Federal prosecutors in New York have spent more than a year pursuing criminal charges against Kerik, reportedly including bribery, tax evasion, obstruction of justice, providing false information and conspiracy to eavesdrop.

Former New York City mayor and presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, who endorsed Kerik in 2004 to lead DHS before Kerik was forced to withdrew his nomination, has stood by his former business partner’s record in New York, even though Giuliani said he should have checked his background more thoroughly.

Rudy: Kerik Was A Good Commish, Whatever His “Problems”

From Talking Points Memo:

Rudy:
“The reality is, if we take a look at Bernard Kerik’s service as police commissioner, he was an excellent police commissioner. Crime went down unexpectedly under Bernard Kerik.

“Then on the other side of it, there were these problems. I take the responsibility. We should have known about them. We should have dealt with them. We didn’t. It was my mistake. I made it. I am sorry for it. I’ve learned from it. But in the balance of things, you take a look at the success that I had, it must be that I am generally picking the right people. Because I am sure not doing this by myself.”

TPM Commentary:
Just to point this out one more time, Rudy also personally recommended to George Bush that he appoint Kerik as chief of the Department of Homeland Security. That’s kind of a key appointment for a President. So this seems like a worthwhile fact to keep in mind about Rudy the Presidential candidate, particularly since he’s telling us that he’s the guy best equipped to handle what he calls the Terrorists’ War Against Us.

I don’t know why on earth Rudy would even say such a thing. Or is his just that arrogant of a person to think that people are just going to look the other way…You’d think he’d want this to GO AWAY, and by commenting like this he’s just guaranteed that it’s not going to.

Few comments from the piece:

Neither Rudy nor Kerik had anything to do with crime coming down in NYC unless similar excellence should be credited to virtually every mayor and police chief in every big city in the US. Crime fell dramatically everywhere during the whole decade.

Dr. Cheese in WI wrote on October 12, 2007 5:14 PM:
Guiliani is demonstrating the exact same “loyalty” attribute that has been so troubling with President Bush. If he takes this same attitude into the White House, it seems likely we will have more “heck of a job, Brownie” moments. This attribute (a seeminly blind, mindless loyalty to one’s friends/appointments) should also be seen as a disqualifying attribute for a president.

David Scher wrote on October 12, 2007 9:03 PM:
I am a New Yorker who lived through the Giuliani years and I can report that I and several of my friends who wanted to report crimes; a mugging, a car theft, an assault and a child being beaten were told that the police could do nothing unless we had eyewitnesses, names and addresses etc. of the perpetrators. This was the policy of the dept. to keep the stats down. A detective in our precinct told me as much.

Not good news for Rudy Giuliani

October 12th, 2007 | Comments Off | Posted in Bernard Kerik, Character, Crime, Legal and Judicial, Rudy Giuliani

From Prosecutors expected to file charges against Bernard Kerik.

Once again, character…IT MATTERS AMERICA!

Highlights…

Bernard Kerik’s legal nightmare is about to get worse, with federal prosecutors expected to file charges against the former police commissioner that will likely include allegations of bribery, tax fraud and obstruction of justice, the Daily News has learned.

The indictment, expected next month, could prove to be an embarrassing obstacle for Kerik’s former mentor Rudy Giuliani, who is cruising at the top of the polls heading into the presidential primary gauntlet.

The bribery allegations against Kerik stem from a secret meeting at a bar in Tribeca, according to two sources familiar with the federal probe.

Last spring, Kerik turned down a deal to plead guilty to tax charges. Since then, the probe has expanded to include other charges, the sources said.

The indictment will have direct implications for Giuliani, the sources said.

For one, another Giuliani commissioner and a top inspector general during Giuliani’s years as mayor will be called as witnesses to describe the secret meeting in Tribeca.

The Giuliani officials are Raymond Casey, former head of the Trade Waste Commission, a city agency set up to keep the mob out of the carting industry, and Michael Caruso, former inspector general with the city Department of Investigation.

In July 1999, Casey and Caruso met with Kerik, then the city Correction Department commissioner, at Walker’s bar on North Moore St., court papers reveal.

Giuliani has extensive ties to Kerik, promoting him to correction commissioner, then to police commissioner. Giuliani later also hired him at his firm, Giuliani Partners, and recommended him to President Bush for the job of Homeland Security secretary.

The relationship soured in December 2004 when Kerik withdrew from consideration for the Homeland Security job and a torrent of accusations of wrongdoing poured forth.

Giuliani has since admitted he had erred in pushing Kerik for the Homeland Security job.

“It was a mistake,” Giuliani told CNN’s Larry King in February. “I think the answer is I made a mistake and I took responsibility for it.”
