Welcome to the Elect Romney in 2008 About Us Section. To see our sub pages, please scroll down past this text!
I began this site on June 22, 2005. Here is the link to the very first post. Not too much to it, but it’s what launched this site to be what and where it is today. My first bit of commentary came later in that day with this post. If you’ll notice, at the time I was writing anonymously (see link…parachute gurls thoughts) because keep in mind this was purely a hobby at the time.
More will be added as I get the time. This is going to be very detailed.

To Mitt Campaign,
The media, as we know, does not often do justice on its reports. There have been a few attacks on MR about religion, flip flopping on abortion, etc. There is a difference between changing your mind and sticking with it, and flip flopping. Where is there an “Attacks Explained” or something like that where one can find answers to any negative attacks? There are blogs and information all over but I didn’t see any answers to negative attacks. Would that be a good blog to start?

Barbara: I think one of the best for this is Mike Laub’s site here:
http://myclob.pbwiki.com/
His site is about as comprehensive as you can get with the kind of information you seek.

America wont a change in Washington. I am 50 year old. I pay for my owe Health Care insurance making $90,000 a year living in NJ. Will you stop the war Iraqi? Are you for raising my taxes? What can you do about the HIGH crime in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ? America is in desperate need of new bridges in the USA. Of the roughly half a million highway bridges in the U.S., more than 200,000 are deficient. Some are merely obsolete. Will the repairs be may to the bridges in the America? How long before we have Energy Independence? As President of the United State of America how will you make improvements to Middle Class America Well-Being and Quality of Life in your first 100 days in office? My family and I have a good life and it would be good that the next President not mess it up.

I voted for Ike, changed to Democrat for Regans’s 2nd term. Voted democrat until today. My husband and I just voted an absentee ballot for Mitt Romney. I like his views on taxes, illegals and our stupid trade agreements. I believe he is an honest, fair minded gentleman. He looks strong and presidential. He needs to show people he means BUSINESS, stand up for himself and quit letting others trample all over him in debates. I’ll forgive him for being a republican this time around. GO MITT! ; )

Mitt, I worked at Modus Media for lots of years and attended the 2002 Olympics. Great job, you were awesome. From a business standpoint, I support you and say America needs you. I’m also Mormom… but I’m gay. What are you going to do for gay Americans? I’m an honest hard working, tax paying (more than most) American. I don’t want special treatment, I want fair treatment. My partner of 15 years and I have been tax paying, charity supporting, selflessly giving of our time and money to better America. But, where are our rights. I don’t say that I need marriage if that “offends” (although I don’t understand that, nor does my Stake President Father and mother), but I need a union to support my partner who has been there to support me, just as your wife has been your support. Why can’t she get my social security payment when I die. Why do I have to pay more taxes to put her on my companies health benefit plans because the America I love and support says “I’m not worthy? (considering my huge payment into the system). What does God want? I’ve heard from the mouth of a prophet, that I am a child of God and he doesn’t make mistakes, I’m worthy of His love, why is this nation that claims to be founded and governed by this same God disagree? I can tell you that many will be surprised when they stand before our Maker and hear from his Almightly voice that he created us all and that we are all worthy of His love and the support of the nations that we support?
This country needs change, show me some and you will get my vote.

Just a reply to “J” above.
You have been created by God, and are worthy of His love, and He doesn’t make mistakes. But your actions are repugnant to Him. God did not make you gay.
Why should America validate a particular action (homosexuality) just because you want us to? We don’t let drug buddies get SS benefits from each other. We don’t let adulterers get SS benefits from each other. America recognizes heterosexual marriage because it is what society has been built upon. It is what God Himself ordained. We have just chosen to recognize it and protect it legally to encourage it’s continuance.
Gay sex offers no benefit to society to make it worthy of endorsment, recognition or legal protection.
The issue has nothing to do with your worthiness. You are as worthy of every human right as I am. But your actions (gay sex) are not worthy of legal recognition or support. Why should we redefine God’s Word, societal mores, and American law, just so you can feel better about doing something sinful? Your worth as a human isn’t really the question.
You are a creature of God and greatly loved by Him. I hope you will repent of them and find forgiveness through His grace.

The last line should read, “I hope you repent of your actions and find forgiveness through His grace. “

Governor Romney,
Are you for globalism and the bottom line ?
NAFTA did NOT fullfill its projected income to the US. Will you, if elected, repeal it along with the rest of the bush/clinton/bush failures of this type ?

You can beat McCain if you emphasis the difference between your stance on illegal immigration. Americans want a tough stand on immigration. Politicians are selling out Americans for Hispanic votes.

Just to let you know that I when I surf WordNetdaily, I saw an article written by Alan Keyes blaming Romney for same-sex marriage. Why is he writing this piece two days before Super Tuesday. Same tactics as John McCain. These people are unbelievable!

Please remove me and my family from your call lists. As people who have experienced Mormon bigotry first hand, and as someone who had the distinct displeasure of seeing Romney as Governor first hand, you could not get us to vote for this twit under any circumstances. 207-324-1004 and 805-686-7984

My wife and I voted absentee in California. We since found that our vote although circled repulican was not executed since the ballot was for a nonpartisan voter. Upon complaining to the LA County Registrar they said we could not vote for Repulican Mitt Romney only American Independent or Democratic neither showing any named candidate on the ballot? When asked why, they said the Repulicans wanted this way? Our concern is this is probably happening to many voter in California. Our two votes should reflect on total Delagate Votes. Is there a way we can rectify this?

RUN, MITT, RUN!!!! We need you now more that ever!!!! Please get back in the race!!!!!
February 26th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
We are very discouraged with John McCain. Mitt Romney was our choice and as well for many other Conservatives. We will not “hold our nose” and vote for McCain but instead write in Mitt Romney’s name!!!
February 27th, 2008 at 1:51 am
Where is our “REAL” Republican Candidate? It surely isn’t John McCain!!!
Who in their “Right” mind would have redressed and belittled Bill Cunningham, the person that came before McCain, at a rally in Cincinnati, to incite passion in McCain’s supporters? As many of us know, the truth sometimes hurts…so now is the time to support the man, who is not afraid to speak the “TRUTH”! THAT MAN is MITT ROMNEY!
Please reconsider your decision to not run for President in 2008.

Mitt I sit here not to write your obit but to say how much you are thought of. I wanted so bad for you to be the first president my daughter voted for. I wanter her first president to be as special to her as Reagan was to me. You are a wonderful example to all of America. Your family is special as they are a reflection of you and Ann. Our country will wait for you if you will have us in 2012. I still can not for the life of me figure out what happened but you handled it like the gracious person you are.
The US and the world had an opportunity to have a great leader and we sure could have used you to deal with the moral decay of today.
Bless you and your family
