About MR

Governor Romney has been an effective leader in both the business and public service worlds. With the 2002 Winter Olympics mired in controversy and facing serious financial crisis, Governor Romney was asked to become President and CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee. Although the challenge seemed daunting, he was compelled to assume the task by both the urgings of his wife, Ann, and by the memory of his father, George Romney, who had been a successful businessman, three-term Michigan Governor and tireless advocate of volunteerism.
In his three years in Salt Lake, Governor Romney erased the $379 million operating deficit, organized 23,000 volunteers, galvanized community spirit, oversaw and unprecedented security mobilization to ensure public safety and led one of the most successful Olympics in our country’s history.
From 1978 to 1984, Mr. Romney was a Vice President of Bain & Company, Inc., the Boston-based management consulting firm. Later, as the company’s CEO, he led it through a highly successful turnaround. Today, Bain & Company has 25 offices worldwide and over 2000 employees.
In 1984, Mr. Romney founded Bain Capital, one of the nation’s most successful venture capital and investment companies. Bain Capital founded, acquired or invested in hundreds of companies including Staples, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Domino’s, Sealy, Brookstone, and The Sports Authority.
Governor Romney has been deeply involved in community and civic affairs, serving extensively in his church and numerous charities including City Year, the Boy Scouts, and the Points of Light Foundation. In 1994, Governor Romney was the Massachusetts Republican nominee for United States Senate.
Governor Romney received his BA with Highest Honors from Brigham Young University in 1971. In 1975, he was awarded and MBA from Harvard Business School and was named a Baker Scholar. In 1975, he also received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
Governor Romney, 60, and his wife, Ann, have been married for 37 years. They have five sons Tagg, Matt, Josh, Ben, and Craig), five daughters-in-law (Jen, Laurie, Jen, Mary, and Andelyne) and ten grandchildren.

You have won me over! I’m 100% behind Mitt Romney after that awesome speech!
Way to go Mitt!

I am behind Romney, in fact his speech gave me goose bumps!
I am really sad about the “women’s right to choose” though. Don’t get me wrong, I believe he has my vote. I just don’t see why a woman cant have the right to choose to take birth control rather than choose to kill her unborn. From the time of conception that child should be the very center of “this woman’s” universe. A miracle which should be celebrated. If one couldn’t appreciate that then another gladly would.
Save the death for the wars which are inevitable.
Wouldn’t Ann be a beautiful First Lady!

You have my vote, Brother Romney!

Noted two typos on this opening page: ” oversaw and unprecedented” and “awarded and MBA.” It appears in both cases that the word “an” should have been used rather than “and.”
Just thought you’d like to fix these.

Mr. Romney,
Thank you for all your hard work and efforts toward helping our country become better! We need your voice on family values and your knowledge, and honesty in the White House! Thank you again.

During Mitt Romney’s term as governor, he had a change of heart and is pro-life. You’ll see this on his website, mittromney.com. Mitt Romney is pro-life and came down on the side of life as governor.

Your web site of Job Application (Political / Policy Advisor) is not activated.
In the past I was going to help Mitt to win for sure, asked him only, to give me a call, but no reply. I predicted he will NOT be elected. And as we see now - he is gambling now. Without my help he will NOT win.

Mitt Romney is a name I trust (not Pavel Goberman). Mitt inspired me to run for office in the great State of Arizona. I really hope Mitt pulls it out in Iowa. I am sending my payment of $100.00 as soon as my wife says it’s okay. Mitt, I loved your interview with Chris Wallace this morning and the debate was a knockout punch. You are one straight shooter Mitt and the truth and your convictions will resonate in New Hampshire and across the rest of the country.

I’m also doing a report on Mitt Romney for school, and I found that this site was very helpful. This site’s outlook on things seemed somehow different than the other sites I’ve been using. I think that what he believes is closer to what I believe than any other candidate out there, and after all thats what we’re suppose to be looking for when we decide who to vote on right? I also agree on letting women make their own choices, though personally I do not always agree on what others choose. By the way, isn’t someone who murders a pregnant woman tried for double murder? If that is so then abortion should be considered murder right? Oh well, IDK… Arise and shine forth! Be a standard to the nation! My prayers are with you.

Make an add in the form of a resume and push the point, “isn’t it time that we sent someone to washington with a business background.” I believe that will set Mitt apart from all the rest. Leave the gun laws alone, they don’t need fixing. You never know what the future has to offer. We may need them when the crazies decide to take over.
Having said that I believe the one who shows strong business leadership will win this election. GO MITT

Mitt, what is your stand on GUN control. I am not for gun control of any kind.Anytime someone starts talking about it,I start thinking about what Hilter did to the germans.First he took away their guns, then took away their food supply, and said you will now do it my way.I will not vote for anyone who is for gun control.I have a friend in the U.K. a few years back they took away their guns, within the first year HOME INVASION went up 700%.
Also Mitt, What will you do about our BORDERS?I am for doing what ever is needed to keep the ILLEGALS out,and sending back ALL OF THE ILLEGALS that are here now.

I would like to know where Mitt Romney stands as far as the millions of ILLEGAL immigrants in our country. I should say I/we, veterans. I am a Korean Vet. So where does this candidate stand as rgards this issue??

I would like to know Mitt Romney stand on CTL
January 27th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
Everyone here… (and Fred)
Mitt will surely close the borders. He will not let illegal immigrants stay in the US. He will ask them to leave and get in the line with others, in a humane way of course. He will make sure that a fence will be built… He is not for amnesty as McCain is… even though Cain denies it. Many endorsers for McCain are open-border guys… so you should tell the difference by now. Hope this helps.
GO MITT!

Straight Talk:
*McCain is getting Fl. endorsements from good people with Wash. ties
*Answer the comments why fees are not just another form of taxation…who pays fees!
*Hit home McCain’s comments about not understanding the economy and obvious since he voted against the initial Bush tax break…he needs someone to explain why he should change his position…every candidate should want to stop the “pork spending” take that obvious point off-the-table, his only response for the veto, the last time I checked the pork is still in the bill.
*McCain wants amnesty for those here, and supports expensive border control…not so hard to fix if you stop employers from hiring II…they will go home and none will come…why not just emphasize this policy and save the tax payers billions on needless expenses. I hope you really want to fix this problem and that this issue is not just a “Hot Potato.”
*You should run a comparison chart with McCain as you did with Kennedy.
Key Comparison Issues:Economy(simplify tax code); Immigration; Washington Insider;
