A year ago, when 2008 began, I had no idea what a barmy bungee-cord ride it would be! However, through the wild dangling and jangling of the past year, the bonanza has been sharing the plunge with all of you. My 2009 hope is for America to muster the steeled will-power that preserved us through the perils of times past and prospered us in times of peace. I hope our nation will have the courage to end the formidable free-fall we find ourselves in. Regardless of what ups and downs may come our way, let’s never tire of tying double knots in the safety harness of common sense, never fail to extend our comMITTed hands wherever we can, and never falter in doing whatever necessary to save conservatism from a calamitous crash. Let’s make everyday count by spending more of our time doing things that matter most and less time doing things that matter the least.
Time is the future in motion… May 2009 find us all appreciating more fully our freedoms and the times and seasons of our lives.
