Coast to Coast CTR Brainstorming Session Tonight!

As we agreed last week, we have scheduled a brainstorming session to generate ideas to keep Gov. Romney in the limelight for tonight, starting at 9 PM Eastern. So, everybody get ready to offer your best ideas to help position Mitt Romney for another run for the presidential nomination in 2012.

It’s time to Strengthen, Rebuild, and Renew. We need to strengthen America’s might both economically and militarily and do so unapologetically. We need to rebuild the government as a smaller, more efficient, and accountable entitity. And we need to renew the American spirit that has always been the greatest beacon of liberty unto the whole world.
These ideas have been said time and again but the only man who is worthy enough and capable of bringing his love for all things American back as none other than Mitt Romney.

  2. Paulee Says:

Thanks for making our ideas become reality. Action speaks louder than words, let’s go get em!!!!!!! Ready, willing and able, let’s show America, WE!!! BELIEVE IN MITT!!!!!!!

  3. Paulee Says:

John, if you see this note, I only saw this post this am. The date shows should have happened yesterday, can you advise????

  4. Deb Says:

Fundraising and matching Mr. Soros dollar for dollar is going to be almost as important as the message that Mitt has the experience ing private and public sector to lead. Obama went to Harvard and never released his grades (unlike Mitt), this should be explored. I just paid $20 to some internet company for my Mitt 2012 bumper stickers, we need to get our own bumper stickers that go directly to Mitt’s presidential run. Also, there is a tremendous untapped grassroots conservatives that can get our own internet movement going strong. I would like to see a stronger showing on college campuses for conservatives. Mitt has an excellent television presence, he should keep writing the op-eds and helping the 2010 election efforts.

Lastly, to combat the horrible media bias, there needs to be a close watchdog on the Obama administration for job loss, wasteful spending, inflation and stock market numbers. If the numbers are as bad as I expect them to be, then the media won’t be reporting it.

  5. SED Says:

I just saw on CNN this morning that Our Country PAC has ads out thanking Sarah Palin and the way she ran as VP. This is clearly the early run up to 2012.

It’s time we come up with a viral campaign of our own. Does anyone know any tech savvy people? I recall the viral campaign for Obama started on a youtube video with the jogger throwing the briefcase at video monitor of the “inevitable” Hillary Clinton. It garnered a great deal of press at the time.

  6. Chris A Says:

    SED,
I have been getting junk from them since she was announced. I send it back with comments such as “who’s being nanny this week” and “how’s that ethics issues playing out in AK” as well as ‘Who’s minding the iceflo in AK?” They’ve been around for a few months now. They are a group of folks that are from a really bigoted side of things. They hate Romney and call Sarugh their ’sister’.
AND the pac is competeting with huckels pac for cash.

  7. Chris A Says:

    Moderation?????? What the heck?

  8. Paulee Says:

John: We all missed your post. I’m sorry for your trouble. We have decided on a new date: December 16, Tuesday, at 9P.M. eastern time. Could you be so kind to post for us again????? Sorry once again. Could you post maybe a couple days or so before, not all come on everyday?????? Thanks John. 2thept. will place for us under our chat, also, as a reminder to all. Others will try to inform the other Romney sites so we might consolidate our efforts for strength in Numbers. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, as we count our blessings, lets pray we can return to OUR America, as we knew it.

  9. Deg Says:

I think its way too early for any of this… but we do need a way to at least keep Romney followers warm and ready to serve when the time is right.

Now is not the time to gain new followers, but just a time to register all those that are willing to follow when the time is right.

This site gives me the opportunity to stay warm with Romney news. Lets just stay warm and ready for the cause when the time is right.

  10. Chris A Says:

Deg, In most ways, I do agree. I am afraid of overexposure. But Romney can and has been front and center on many issues regarding the econ since the elections. To put him up as the shadow government, like England does, is wrong and will not work in this country. I don’t want to run the risk the Palinites are running by overexposing. I think her day in the sun will soon come to a really bad ending with her fellow alaskans wanting a full time gov again, and will not re elect her. then, her star will tarnish further. To keep Mitt viable, we need to keep him out front, but not with a glaring spotlight and arrows pointing to him as that will make him an legitimate target.

  11. Jon Says:

    Chris,

Sarah’s and Huck’s PACs competing for cash is a good sign. Hopefully next time round, Huck will play spoiler for one of his own (Sarah) competing with the ignorant evangelists for the vote. Having Huck and Palin compete for votes will hopefully help Romney become the clear and obvious choice.

  12. Paulee Says:

There are already many Mitt 2012 sites up and running.

  13. Deg Says:

It is Romney’s responsability to stay front and center, if he doesn’t there is little we can do I’m afraid. They most we can do is just blog and spread the news of what he is doing.

I for one wouldn’t ask for cash for his campaign, if he so chooses to campaign, for atleast the next two years.

In what ways can we help Romney stay a strong candidate for the next two years?

  14. Tracey Says:

Palin pardons a turkey and then stands in front of the slaughter house while turkeys get slaughtered. She is the gift that just keeps giving and IF SHE IS THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE IN 2012 THE REPUBLICANS WILL LOOSE, AGAIN!

  15. Tracey Says:

Peggy Noonan has some thoughts about the media and Palin. She says MSN wants Palin to be the face of the republican party.

  16. Jon Says:

Tracey, absolutely. I have already pointed this out a couple of times. When the media is pushing for a Republican, as they did with McCain, you know it’s not for the good of the GOP. It will be because they have already figured that person will be a viable republican candidate, yet a beatable opponent. That’s exactly what they did with McCain. The love for McCain was led by the New York Times right up to his nomination and then, shortly thereafter, the dirt started coming out.

Some of the Democrat heads were open enough to say that they were afraid of Romney. I’m sure the media was too. They’re still afraid that Romney or even Jindal will make a formidable opponent in the future. If they make Palin look like the future of the GOP, it will be another win for the Dems in 2012. As the GOP nominee in 2012, Palin will guarantee Obama an 8 year term in office.

  17. Tracey Says:

    JON-

The question is how do we convince her big fan base that she will loose? This is why the party is broken. The divide within this party seems to be something that can’t be mended where Romney is concerned. What do you think?

  18. Tracey Says:

I think every dem is afraid of Romney.

  19. Jon Says:

Could Huck’s fan base be convinced he would lose? I don’t think there’s some convincing some people even if the answer is staring them in the face. Ironically, I think Huck will come to the rescue. If his ego serves him right (and I’m sure it will), he will have another go at the nomination (with many more rehearsed jabs at Romney). As many of us suspect, many of the Palin fans were also Huckabee fans. If the evangelical vote is split between the two MSM GOP favorites, I think that will only help Romney–if he is the remaining frontrunner.

    Happy Thanksgiving all!!

  20. Jon Says:

Also, the way things are going with gay marriage and the LDS church being front and center on the issue, perhaps many evangelicals will realize that the Mormons are not the enemy and will be more amenable to supporting Romney. It appears that some evangelicals are already warming up to the Mormons, realizing that they have a lot in common despite theological differences.

  21. Chris Says:

the were afraid of him during the primary’s too. Remember Howard Dean saying that he was relieved Romney dropped out because that was the ONLY one running, they could not compete with? And them McCain picks the barbie. You get the impression that once he won the nomination, he could care less about winning the seat? He picked the dumbest gov out there, he ran a non-campaign. He had no ideas. Thank goodness he did not win. I fear he would have turned it over to the flowerpots to govern.

  22. Chris Says:

    Tracey,
When you ask a Palin supporter what she has done, they tell me “She’s a real conservative”. I ask them in what way, and they tell me she’s a ‘Christian’ who did not abort her baby.

I would hope in a leader we ask for more depth than that. but these guys are just too dim to understand that it’s more about quality than quanity.

  23. Jon Says:

Yes Chris, and it’s those “conservatives” that would vote for Huckabee too. Let them split the vote between Palin and Huck, giving Mitt a little poetic justice!

  24. Pamela Says:

Why are my posts removed all the time???

I haven’t posted anything offensive at all.

    Will someone please respond?

  25. Tracey Says:

    Hi Pam

I enjoy your post. So keep trying!

  26. EVELIO PEREZ Says:

Social-st and certain words are OFFENSIVE that’s why .

  27. peter combes Says:

Same problem here. Get too intense and you may not make it to the listing. Don’t know if it’s a screening program or a person but when I was getting specific about the Republican weeding process, I got left out half the time.

Had my Mitt lawn sign stolen the past week. Was hoping it would last until 2011 so I could get another one. Will see.

Hang in there. We’re in for a ride. - P

  28. Tracey Says:

I don’t know what is causing the problem. But just keep trying. I have been intense also. I know the “s” word does not get through.
