Missouri officials suspect fake voter registration
If anyone is in a position to help your local Republican organization with their voter fraud prevention efforts, please contact them first thing Monday morning to volunteer your time and get trained to become a Poll Watcher. Their are reports coming in from at least 12 states concerning fraudulent voter registrations. We may well lose this election, but if we do, let’s not let it happen because we stood by and let it be stolen from us.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -
Officials in Missouri, a hard-fought jewel in the presidential race, are sifting through possibly hundreds of questionable or duplicate voter-registration forms submitted by an advocacy group that has been accused of election fraud in other states.
Charlene Davis, co-director of the election board in Jackson County, where Kansas City is, said the fraudulent registration forms came from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. She said they were bogging down work Wednesday, the final day Missourians could register to vote.
“I don’t even know the entire scope of it because registrations are coming in so heavy,” Davis said. “We have identified about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don’t exist, people who have driver’s license numbers that won’t verify or Social Security numbers that won’t verify. Some have no address at all.”
The nonpartisan group works to recruit low-income voters, who tend to lean Democratic. Most polls show Republican presidential candidate John McCain with an edge in bellwether Missouri, but Democrat Barack Obama continues to put up a strong fight.
Jess Ordower, Midwest director of ACORN, said his group hasn’t done any registrations in Kansas City since late August. He said he was told three weeks ago by election officials that there were only about 135 questionable cards — 85 of them duplicates.
“They keep telling different people different things,” he said. “They gave us a list of 130, then told someone else it was 1,000.”
FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said the agency has been in contact with elections officials about potential voter fraud and plans to investigate.
“It’s a matter we take very seriously,” Patton said. “It is against the law to register someone to vote who does not fall within the parameters to vote, or to put someone on there falsely.”
On Tuesday, authorities in Nevada seized records from ACORN after finding fraudulent registration forms that included the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys.
In April, eight ACORN workers in St. Louis city and county pleaded guilty to federal election fraud for submitting false registration cards for the 2006 election. U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said they submitted cards with false addresses and names, and forged signatures.
Ordower said Wednesday that ACORN registered about 53,500 people in Missouri this year. He believes his group is being targeted because some politicians don’t want that many low-income people having a voice.
“It’s par for the course,” he said. “When you’re doing more registrations than anyone else in the country, some don’t want low-income people being empowered to vote. There are pretty targeted attacks on us, but we’re proud to be out there doing the patriotic thing getting people registered to vote.”
Republicans are among ACORN’s loudest critics. At a campaign stop in Bethlehem, Pa., supporters of John McCain interrupted his remarks Wednesday by shouting, “No more ACORN.”
Debbie Mesloh, spokeswoman for the Obama campaign in Missouri, said in an e-mailed statement that the campaign supported any investigation of possible fraud.
According to its national Web site, the group has registered 1.3 million people nationwide for the Nov. 4 election. It also has encountered complaints of fraud stemming from registration efforts in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Nevada and battleground states like Michigan, Ohio and North Carolina, where new voter registrations have favored Democrats nearly 4 to 1 since the beginning of this year.
Missouri offers 11 electoral votes; the presidential candidates need at least 270 to win the election.

It would take a real Maverick to replace Palin with Romney. If only we could replace McCain. The thought of having Romney see our economic recovery would be very comforting.

Tracey, I am not voting for McCAin. No way can I trust his judgement. too much ‘mavericky’ for my blood.

Barack Obama is a Trojan Horse. From the 2007 Most Liberal Senator’s shadowed underbelly, his ubiquitous henchmen have poured out across America to cheat, intimidate, threaten and coerce Obama’s ascendancy to the White House. Don’t help drag this wooden horse into Washington!

Obama Distorts ACORN Ties
by Amanda Carpenter (Townhall.com) Monday, October 13, 2008
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign has been forced to revise statements about their candidate’s work for the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now, a liberally-leaning non-profit roiled in allegations of voter registration fraud.
Obama’s website “Fight the Smears,” designed to counteract misinformation about the candidate’s record, contained false information about Obama’s connections to ACORN.
Before news outlets reported Obama worked as an ACORN trainer in 1992, the website said, “Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.”
The website later revised their “fact” to say: “Fact: ACORN never hired Obama as trainer, organizer, or any type of employee.”
The conservative leaning blog Gateway Pundit published archived screenshots of the Fight the Smears site showing the discrepancy.
As a presidential candidate Obama has extensive ties to the group currently being accused of voter registration fraud in 11 states. He is the first national candidate ever to hire ACORN for get-out-the-vote activities. Obama’s campaign paid $800,000 to a subsidiary of the liberally-leaning non-profit Association of Community Organizers for Reform called Citizens Services Incorporated campaign to increase voter turnout, but initially did not properly disclose this information on financial disclosure reports.
The Obama campaign said it hired CSI to do “polling, advance work and staging events” according to reports submitted to the FEC during the Democratic primary. The FEC later said the Obama campaign needed to disclose ACORN was engaging in get out the vote activities last August. At the time the Obama campaign called the mistake a “clerical error.”
Obama sought ACORN’s endorsement in the Democratic primary telling ACORN members, “Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.” “Project Vote” is the name ACORN’s voter registration drives are called. Obama worked for Project Vote for a period of roughly seven months in 1992.
ACORN endorsed Obama for president in February 2008.
Before becoming a member of the Illinois State Senate, Obama represented ACORN in a lawsuit to help push for “Motor Voter” laws to make it easier for low-income persons to vote.
Later, as director of the Woods Fund and Chairman of the Board of Chicago Annenberg Challenge Obama helped steer funds to ACORN through various grants.

Subject: ACORN and Voter Fraud
If five million fraudulent home mortgages are in the hands of illegal aliens, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. What is stopping them from committing Voter fraud, and returning an absentee ballot or saying under the penalty of perjury they are a US citizen. If they have already violated our immigration laws by crossing the border and are taken jobs of the legal population, then stealing American citizen sovereignty. If (ACORN) Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now have been caught violating voting laws, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Even by a narrow margin in any congressional district could have unparalleled ramifications to our Democratic process.
The middle class already overburdened with war appropriation funds, is still force to pay for the education, free health-care and Federal, state welfare handouts for illegal criminals. SIGN UP FOR THE SAVE ACT(H.R.4088) enforcement ‘ONLY’ law at http://www.numbersusa.com.

Glenn Beck: ACORN’s nuts
Radio program dialogue) October 14, 2008 - 13:07 ET

ACORN offered cigarette, dollar to register multiple times
GLENN: Oh, you know what? Dave, may I — for anybody who doesn’t know, here’s who ACORN is. They are — they and their associated groups lobby for a living wage, affordable housing, tax justice — I love tax justice — union causes and environmental goals. They are also against school choice and any kind of welfare reform. It’s a major contributor to the sub prime meltdown. They pushed lenders into making home loans on easy terms. These are the groups that were saying that you’re a racist if you don’t go in and make these loans to people who can’t afford them. They conducted strikes against the banks so they would lower their credit standards. In 2006 a report from the EPI, the Employment Policies Institute said ACORN has been on the federal take since 1977. ACORN’s American Institute for Social Justice — code language — claimed $240,000 in tax money between fiscal years 2002 and 2003. Its environmental justice project received 100% of its revenue from government grants in the same years. Your tax dollars. The EPI estimates that ACORN Housing Corporation received $16 million in federal dollars from ‘97 to 2007. ONLY RECENTLY DEMOCRATS TRIED AND FAILED, THANK GOODNESS, TO STTUF THE AFFORDABEL HOUSING PROVISION INTO THAT $700 BILLION BILL (Caps added). ACORN is spending $16 million this year alone to register new voters. It is already boasting that it has put 1.3 million new voters on the rolls. The big question that Dave was alluding to is how many of them are real, you know, what kind of fraud are we looking at. Well, let me run down just some of it and this is what’s currently going on. The Michigan Secretary of State told the press in September that ACORN had submitted, quote, a sizable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications. Nevada’s Democratic Secretary of State Ross Miller requested a raid on ACORN’s offices following complaints of false names and fictitious addresses including the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys. Of course, ACORN responded, “I believe that this is racist.” Nevada’s Clark County registrar of voters Larry Lomax said he saw rampant fraud in 2,000 to 3,000 applications ACORN submitted weekly. Officials in Ohio are investigating voter fraud connected with ACORN. Florida’s Seminole County is withholding ACORN’s registrations that appear fraudulent. New Mexico, North Carolina and Missouri are now looking into hundreds of dubious ACORN registrations. Wisconsin is investigating ACORN employees for, according to an election official, making people up, or registering people that are still in prison, end quote. Then there’s Lake County, Indiana which has already found more than 2100 bogus applications among the 5,000 ACORN dumped right before the deadline. Almost half, they said, quote, all the signatures look exactly the same. Connecticut estimates that 20% of ACORN’s registrations are faulty. As of July, the City of Houston has rejected or put on hold 40% of the 27,000 registration cards submitted by ACORN. That is just this year.
In 2004 four ACORN employees were indicted in Ohio for submitting false voter registrations. 2005, two Colorado ACORN workers found to have submitted false registrations. Four ACORN Missouri employees were indicted in 2006. Five were found guilty in Washington State in 2007 for filling out registration forms with the names from a phone book.
Barack Obama is now trying to distance himself from this. When will America wake up? He’s now trying to distance himself from this. In 1992 Barack Obama led voter registration efforts as the director of Project Vote, which includes ACORN. This past November he lauded ACORN’s leaders for being, quote, smack dab in the middle of Project Vote, end quote. During his tenure on the board of Chicago Woods Funds, see if — Chicago Woods Funds, why do I know Chicago Woods Funds? He was on the board. That body funneled more than $200,000 to ACORN. Oh, Chicago Woods Funds, I remember. William Ayers is on that board. More recently the Obama campaign paid $832,000 to an ACORN affiliate, $832,000 to get out the vote. Well, maybe they didn’t know. Okay, maybe they did know but maybe they really thought that that money, $832,000, quote, was going for staging sound and lighting, end quote, until they were caught lying about $832 going to staging, sound and lighting and then they later said, “Oh, yeah, that was going to an ACORN affiliate to get out the vote.”
They now claim that Barack Obama never organized with ACORN, has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yeah, and by the way, that $832, it wasn’t $832. It was $832,000 for the staging and the lights, which those are expensive lights. Bunting, have you seen the price of bunting? Isn’t what it used to be. They are now saying that he has nothing to do with it. Let me give you this from a speech that he gave earlier this year. This is the end of a speech of a bunch of community organizers where ACORN played a big role. This is what Barack Obama said about the involvement of organizations like and including ACORN.
VOICE: Last question, yes or no, little embellishment if you would like: If elected President of the United States, would you agree in your first 100 days to meet with the delegation of representatives from these various community organizations that campaign for community values? Could they count on you in your first 100 days to sit down with them?
OBAMA: Yes, but let me even say before I get inaugurated. During the transition we’re going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. We’re going to be having meetings all across the country with community organizations so that you have input into the agenda for the next presidency of the United States of America.
GLENN: Stop. Good God, are you not frightened for the future of your country? He wants to meet with the community organizers so they can help shape the future of America. Who the hell are these community organizers? In your right mind why would you meet with people who have been responsible at a great degree for the housing crisis?

Let’s set the record straight. ACORN plays by the rules, but they register voters the Right would rather exclude, so they are a perfect target in the ongoing effort to stoke paranoia over so-called “widespread voter fraud” (a proven myth). Out of the 13,000 field workers ACORN hired in its drive to register 1.3 million voters, a small fraction submitted inappropriate registration cards. In most cases, ACORN was required by law to submit these incorrect forms, along with the valid forms, to election officials, and in most cases, the incorrect forms had been flagged for officials by ACORN as problematic. But bad registration forms don’t add up to “voter fraud.”
