I like how the Jersey Gov. said that Obama has been very wise with the people he has surrounded himself with. Yeah, like Write, Ayers, and many many more great economic minds. Boy wounldn’t it have been nice if it were Mitt as the nominee who could run an add talking about the olympics and the financial troubles and then he could say “I’ve fixed financial messes, without tax payer money. I can do it again” Wouldn’t that have been wonderful, but no we got McCain instead. We could have had a Romney/Palin ticket.
Unfortunately, I would have to suggest that Romney lay low because all of these interviews let the media dredge up all the things he said about McCain (and what McCain said about himself), amplifying McCain’s weakness on matters economic.
So yes, Jerald says it well: We will pay the price for not nominating Romney.
Eric
I doubt I could vote for a Romney Palin ticket. She’s not experienced enough to tie her shoes. Yea, she talks a good game. she went to jouralism school(s) for crying out loud. She’s been on TV as a sports person. but a Romney/Ridge, Romney/Cohen, Romney/Whitman, Romney/Hutchenson… that’s I could sink in and vote for.
Frozone. I think he should lay low for yet another reason. McCain made his bed, now has to be held accountable for his decisions. If he loses the election, so be it. He certainly will not win it with my vote, anyway.
Thanks for the video, Ann Marie. It’s always great to see Mitt.

Obama Pays Women Only 78 Percent of What He Pays Men
By Fred Lucas Thursday, September 18, 2008
“Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. greets a patron during a campaign stop at the Range Cafe in Bernalillo, N.M., Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008. (AP Photo/Chris Carlson)(CNSNews.com) – While Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has produced a television ad criticizing Sen. John McCain’s position on equal pay for women and pointing out that women in America are paid only 77 cents on the dollar compared to men, Obama pays his own female Senate staffers, on average, only 78 percent of what he pays male staffers.
Women on McCain’s staff, meanwhile, earn 24 percent more on average than women on Obama’s Senate staff. McCain also pays his female Senate staff members a higher average salary than his male Senate staff members.”
I can’t believe the Jersey guy actually started out his interview with the tune, “Obama has surrounded himself with good people his whole life.” HILARIOUS. That’s when I stopped listening. Are these people for real?!
And I love, love, LOVE seeing Mitt take on obviously liberal journalists (what do you expect on CBS?!). He’s still so well spoken and poised. And what a knucklehead lady on the interviewer–so obviously biased.
I sigh every time I think of the kind of leader we could have had in Mitt Romney. The country will pay for this, indeed. But we all knew that was going to happen months ago.
Check out “Stop the ACLU” blog. The author didn’t support Romney for president or vice-president but thinks Romney should do financial janitor duty for McCain. Comments close in 5 days – you might want to leave a piece of your mind. Read it here:
“I didn’t support Romney for President (I know that many of this blog’s readers did); I didn’t want Romney for vice-president (again, I know that many did), but whatever problems I might have with Romney in those positions are not at issue at all when it comes to thinking of him in a cabinet position. The guy’s a genius. He absolutely oozes financial know how. He knows the language of the financial markets and comes across as exactly what we need right now — a non-ideologue who knows what he is doing when it comes to solving fiscal problems.
So go ahead and name him as your Treasury Secretary now-”

We are going to really pay for not nominating Romney.
Sigh…

I don’t get the fascination with that Amnesty shill Kay Bailey. Just because she’s a woman and not Sarah Palin?
