David, you rock! Kudos for this video.
I this interview earlier today and I was interested in hearing his comments again regarding VP and Cabinet positions. Bill said that he would be talking to Mitt throughout the week so I hope we’ll be able to see those moments here.

Not good enough for veep, but overqualified for cabnet position.
Something veeerrrrry fishy here!
September 2nd, 2008 at 1:07 am
thanks for posting that awesome video, david! romney’s the man.
man, my heart just sank as megan kelly closed out the segment with cheering romney fans in the background. so sad. if only this week were more about mitt, and less about mccain. every time i see him on tv i feel like i re-enter mourning the loss of a great potential leader for america. ahhhh! 2012 couldn’t come soon enough.
it’s a big week though, no matter who’s on our ticket. at this point, it’s all about voting “against obama.” we’ve just got to beat him. i’m excited to be checking in with you all at CTR blog for more reports on the RNC! go GOP! STOP OBAMA!

What is wrong? I’m getting really frustrated and totally angry with this political process,. The more I’m hearing the more I feel this is all a set up, we have no say. There is no where to turn. Anyone feeling this, as I am? Where is Mitt’s lousy speaking spot? Fred Thompson, what did he do for Mccain? Lieberman, Guiliani, Chist, Meltenez, Huckabee, this will be interesting. I smell a rat! Please tell me I’m all wet!Mccain owes Grahamn, Lieberman, Chist, Martenez, Guliani, who did I forget? Oh, Mitt Romney, no, he’s a pure breed! We don’t like that kind! Give me a BREAK! I’m venting, but not feeling very good about these feelings.

Paulee, 2tp and everyone:
So, do you remember the Biblical story of Esther? She was destined for greatness. The comment her Uncle made to her was this: “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the Kingdom for such a time as this”. (Esther 4:14 KJV)
That is how I see our Mitt. Who knows what God has in store for him, but I agree 2tp; God didn’t place Mitt here at this time for nothing. This is the test of our faith right here. We thought it would be defending him against the nasty barbs of his adversaries as the vp candidate… nay, not so. It is accepting this and still standing by him remaining true and faithful to the knowledge we all carry in our hearts and minds that God loves this country very much.
Because He does love us and Mitt and a nation full of misdirected people, He will try very hard to bless her. That is why we may have to step over it all and keep doing whatever we have to to bless America. Obame is a no for me. Cannot give even the slightest opportunity for him to be in the WH. Pro-infanticide, completely against traditional marriage between a man and a woman, fiscally a mess and the biggest flip-flopper around. He is friends with terrorists and American haters… he sometimes seems to fall into that last catagory himself. No, I do not beleive such a person deserves to be in the WH..
So, I keep praying. Praying for direction on how to feel and how to vote. So far the answer to my prayers is that God is at the helm and I need to wait until closer to voting time and see how this whole thing plays out. God says to me “doubt not, fear not and know that I am God” So, I have no choice. I shall doubt HIM not, I shall not live in fear and I shall retain my very firm knowledge that God is at the helm and knows very well what America needs.
I think Mitt is taught to trust God too. I think he is a mighty and spiritual person. He knows how to listen to God. I dare say in this mix of players, he is the most spiritual and close to God. He is the one who has lived the commandments and has spiritually prospered for it. We are all gonna be ok…
September 2nd, 2008 at 7:52 am
I doubt the radical right knew that Thurl Bailey is LDS. otherwise….. I seriously doubt they would have put him on as opening prayer. I think (and I’m just guessing here) the RNC thought they had a black christian to give the opening prayer (of course they had that!!) Hand they known he was LDS, he in all likely hood, would have been passed over for someone else.
I hate it thatHuckles the clown has a better speaking spot than Mitt. But then, his people did cause this crisis.

Great video! Thanks so much for posting it. On one hand, I love to watch any and all videos I can find of him, and on the other hand, it makes me a bit somber to do so. It makes me sad all over again. What a great loss!!
And the reception he received at the RNC (as Megyn Kelly stated) has got to tell you something. Sheesh! It’s just so maddening.
Karen, I appreciate your post and your wise counsel. It is in God’s hands and we need to trust him.
That’s so cool that Thurl Bailey gave the opening prayer at the RNC. He’s a class act as well.

The way i see it is that romney has two cycles to run for president again…2012 and 2016. If mccain wins in 2008, than romney can forget about 2012, after 3 repub wins in a row you got to think dems are gonna win that cycle + mccain or palin will run in the 2012 GOP primary, so there is no way romney could think he could win that primary and than have anything left for the general against hillary…thus if mccain wins in 2012, romney’s only shot at the white house would be in 2016. As for taking a cabinet job or not if mccain wins…well it does kill his outsider angle for the 2016 run but really romney would need to land a political position to have any shot at running for prez in 2016…he can’t rest on his 4 years as being gov of MA…thus he would need either to take a cabinet job or get elected to some office, ie senator from utah…or he could take an ambassador position to keep the outsider angle but he would need some more political experience between 2008-2016 before running for the white house again…really don’t know why he wouldn’t take the sec of treasury job if offered by mccain.

DIRTY TOOLS
As Obama operatives scour records in Alaska for dirt on Gov. Sarah Palin, they are also seeking embarrassing materials about her husband. And it isn’t just the Obama campaign. Several left-wing groups with ties to MoveOn.org have used their network to offer as to $5,000 for damaging employment or personal information about him.
Meanwhile, the Obama campaign has asked the DNC to coordinate surrogates that appear on camera to attack Gov. Palin. “Last Friday, the Democrat women they put all looked old and tired, nothing like what folks were seeing from Palin,” says an Obama media adviser. “It was like, ‘we don’t have any good-looking younger representatives to put up?’”
GLOVES OFF
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may be putting on a brave face for the cameras after losing out to Gov. Sarah Palin for the veepship, but his ever-loyal cadre of aides and consultants and conservative media types continue to work for him.
Almost every critical remark made about Palin on a recent briefing call about her selection came from political consultants with ties to Romney. Those comments were planted, says one, because they knew that reporters would be on the call.
PRACTICE AND POLISH
Sen. Barack Obama’s pitch perfect response regarding the announcement of an impending birth in the Palin family (”my mother had me when she was 18″) was not without a series of edits and rehearsals, according to some Obama insiders.
“For tough questions we know he will get to questions we plant with reporters that we want asked, [senior campaign staff] will rehearse [Obama's] answer with him.”
The goal: to get his inflection and tone, as well as the content, just right.
“After he flubbed the hypothetical question about his own daughter’s pregnancy, the campaign has worked with him to avoid what appear to be insensitive or unthoughtful answers,” says an Obama Senate staffer.

Romney not on ticket, but still active
By Brian C. Mooney, Globe Staff
ST. PAUL — Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, no longer auditioning for the vice presidential berth on John McCain’s ticket, is nevertheless maintaining a busy schedule at the Republican National Convention.
Today, Romney spoke to the Utah delegation, and is scheduled to talk to the delegation from Michigan, where he grew up. He is also scheduled to attend fundraising events for some Republican congressional candidates.
On Tuesday morning, he is scheduled to serve breakfast at the Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Shelter in Minneapolis. After that, Romney is to address the Massachusetts delegation at its daily brunch at the Crowne Plaza in Bloomington, a suburb of Minneapolis.
If the convention resumes its full schedule, Romney is scheduled to give a high-profile speech to the convention on Wednesday.

I don’t want to post this, but there is nothing about any recent Palin post. So, please pardon this insertion. There is an article over at race42008 where the McCain’s VP selection was outlined. According to this article which quoted from quite a few other sources, McCain does not want the experience as much as he wants the image of reform. Yes, Palin was picked only because she represents the next generation and she was a reformer. It has nothing to do with her experiences. But this is not the worst. The worst is whom ended up as McCain’s final 3:
Lieberman and Ridge being transformative??? They are as much of the Washington insiders as anyone could be, and McCain has the gall to call them transformative. I felt somewhat better about considering a McCain vote (this is not a vote, but a consideration), and now, McCain has shown he is as much of the old timer as Biden or anyone else. He just lost my vote!

Kudos to the Utah delegates for assembling hygiene kits last night.

Blue, Democrats would win 2012 after a McCain administration only if they are not idiots and pick an empty suit like they did the past two elections.
September 2nd, 2008 at 2:47 pm
Some Utah delegates say they will still vote for Romney.
Read it all here:
http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_10359548
Romney, who won all of Utah’s 36 delegate votes, met with the entire group Monday morning and joked that they should not only back McCain, but vote twice for him.
“Let’s be unified on this,” he said. Talking to reporters after the breakfast, Romney said “no thanks” to a 2012 run for the presidency. “I do not anticipate doing it again,” he said, noting that he also wasn’t interested in a Cabinet spot in a McCain administration.
He gave no hints of what he would do now besides stumping for McCain and other Republican candidates. Romney launched a political action committee this summer to raise funds for federal and state candidates.
“I haven’t given a lot of thought to what I do after November,” he said.
September 2nd, 2008 at 3:39 pm
Well 2 the point, That sez it all about the ‘pick’ and mindset of McCain. Anyone else worried?
I know, I know. It’s about the USSC. But is it? Can we trust him? Not on your life. McCai will find some 20 yr old out of law school to be the next Judge because that person represents ‘the next generation’ and is a TRANSFORMER. Help, please God. Help us. At least we have a good idea of Obama and where he’ll lead this country. It will not be pretty. But neither is root canal. Let’s just get the next 4 over with and out.
Seriously, can we al call and thank Huckabee for this total screw up?

I agree Chris , I trully believe that a major part of this poll is dissatisfied Mitt voters leaving the nest.
September 2nd, 2008 at 6:00 pm
Evelio,
It’s not just Mitt voters, but voters who are now doubting the judgement of McCain. Do I really want someone who may have a R behind his name, who cant make a well-informed decision? It just seems like he flew off the handle on this one. I also fear his ego is too much to take tomorrow night to regroup. At this point, I’d be happier with anyone, but Huckabee! Even Ridge, I trust more than I do McCain and Palin. Did McCain WANT to lose this election? He’s doing a darn good job of doing just that.

If Mitts speaking time is changed or cancelled, it is b/c McCain is afraid of Mitt getting a better reception and being treated more like a “rockstar” They think if they change the schedule Mitt supporters wont know when he is speaking and wont organize to cheer for him. Since 85% of the delegates supported him for VP, there will be cheers for him no matter what and if they cancel him there will be some major booing in the place and a big controversy of the disrespect to him.

This is the GOP version of the Titanic. Buyers remorse, all way around. Palin is not getting traction, despite all the hype from the left and right. There are movements (do an internet search) for the Dump Palin movement. Ms. Palin, could not even go to the alter of Schfly to accept her little prize. Too busy writing the speech. My probem is McCain and his judgement. I can’t trust him.
Mitt might be bumped off. He’s served his purpose. He’s raised money, stumped and was dumped. Now it’s time to dump McCain.
September 3rd, 2008 at 7:51 am
I can totally see why Mitt doesn’t want to be a part of this administration. With McCain/Palin at the helm, we are headed for disaster. Mitt is smart not to want to be a part of it.
September 3rd, 2008 at 8:27 am
Leslie,
I predict that the McCain/Palin thing won’t happen. McCain is a loser ticket to being with. Then, he added the weight of an UNQUALIFED person on the ticket. Face it folks. Were looking at a t Obama President, handed to us by the McCain run.

Now, someone has gotten ahold off Sarah’s SS#. Lots happening. Vetted on Wed. all the while, Pawlenty thought he was the pick. So why then did Mccain call Mitt on Friday and say he was going in another direction? This doesn”t fit. I will vote, but I’m not liking using people as pawns. Okay, this is politics the ole boy way. This White house is going to a click, as far as I can see. I don’t like it.
Hat off to Mitt for tonight, you show them, Mitt!!!!!!! We will be with you in heart and spirit. God Bless!
September 3rd, 2008 at 9:14 am
I will vote too Paulee. But not for McCain. Writing in won’t help either, as Mitt then has the option of giving the votes to McCain. I’ll not be a party to this man being president. He blew out my vote with his lack of judgement.
I heard that it was Mitt until Thursday. Then McCain called him and told him he was ‘going in a different direction’. It’s either Barr of Obama for me. I think itwould send a huge message if the entire west fell to Obama. Next time they want to denergrate the LDS vote…we won’t be taking it anymore.
September 3rd, 2008 at 9:18 am
2 the point
I read that too. Even commented on it. We’ve gored the ox on the otherside so many time, it’s now comming home - and rightly so. I think Mitt is burned from this process. And unless things change - and drasticly, I can’t see him ever coming back. That means it has to be extreme. We have to have Obama to get our GOP footings back.
We can do it. We can get through the next 4 of Obama together, and even help reform the GOP along the way.
Frankly, I don’t care about Palins SSN number. big whoop. It happens all the time to politicians.
September 3rd, 2008 at 9:27 am
Chris,
I hope all republicans realize it’s time to give up the dream for 2008. Four years of Obama will give republicans time to regroup and clean house. This whole thing with Palin is insane. It’s clear she wasn’t properly vetted, and she is so unqualified, it’s scary. The idea of pregnant teenagers walking the corridors of power is too much for my mind to wrap around. FYI, I am voting for Obama. Maybe we will see Mitt in 2012. I am crossing my fingers.

September 3rd, 2008 at 9:36 am
Chris, You’re right. It wish it weren’t so–but it is. If we want the GOP to remain the party of Reagan, Obama is the bad tasting medicine the country must take. Mitt will change his mind, and could arguably be the spiritual leader of the party. He can’t say this, but it’s true. LDS need to withhold their money and their votes from Big Mac– he needs to lose OR,NV,UT,CO,IL,MI(ouch!)and…AZ!(DOUBLE OUCH!!) ROMNEY 2012!!!!!!!!!!
September 3rd, 2008 at 10:02 am
I don’t think I believe that Sarah Palin wasn’t vetted. Of course, I don’t know for sure, but that seems insane to me. Just my two cents worth.
September 3rd, 2008 at 10:04 am
Remember the big picture! I mourn for what I feel could have been one of the best Presidents this country has ever been blessed with. However, the reality is that this didn’t happen. We have two real choices, Obama and McCain. We need to do what is right for the country, just like Mitt is doing. He is fighting against Obama and we must do that too. Remember Mitt’s words “This was never about me.”
For those of us who share Mitt’s faith we have learned that we have much to do to help others see that we are true followers of Christ. In the states where the LDS are in greater numbers Mitt was more accepted, because the bigotry(and lies) that killed his run was not believable. Mitt is taking this loss in a Christlike way. Our future actions politcally need to be about strengthening America and not about Mitt. Join me in voting for McCain/Palin…. a much better choice for America than Obama.
September 3rd, 2008 at 10:15 am
MJ,
Unfortunately, there isn’t a much of a difference between Obama and McCain. Yes, talking points and style appear to be different but when it comes down to governing you cannot tell the difference between either party. Obama will move to the center just like they always do. In fact, Clinton (Bill) had more right of center policies than Bush and had more in common with Reagan than Bush 43.
Which party has created the largest record deficit and added more to the national debt in U.S. history? Republicans. Sad but true. The Republican brand isn’t what it used to be.
What does Christ have to do with the US election? Am I missing something? I thought he created the world . . .
September 3rd, 2008 at 10:29 am
Mitt is speaking tonight at around 9:15 pm. It’s not primetime. I wonder what time Huckabee will get? I’ll be pissed if he is the primetime lead in for Sarah Palin.

Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears will sing “Oops I did it again” today at the Republican National Convention.” Jamie Lynn said it is important that the sisterhood of unwed pregnant Republicans stick together, especially during critical times like Presidential elections.
Britney commented by saying, “Hey look, no one can plan for these types of things anyways. I mean what does planned parenthood really mean? Condoms are for sinners! Accidents are for people who are still trying to do the right thing.”

POTUS in Romney’s future?
No cabinet post for Romney but he doesn’t rule out future run for POTUS:
[He didn't rule out another run for president, adding, "I'm not ruling it in, either."]

I just think its dumb for romney to say he wouldn’t serve in mccain’s cabinet…at least he only said he had no plans to run for state a congressional office, ie not ko’ing it…that is if he plans another white house run. As for the cabinet thing, really to use his words the “significant contribution” on why he ran for president…those could also be applied to serving in a cabinet + it adds value to his support for mccain this fall. Yet, if he plans on walking away from the political scene…that would seem strange after spending big $’s and time and not being that old, than that’s that…yet if he wants to run for the big office again and mccain wins, he will need to need to have some kind of political job between 2008-2016, an ambassador thing might be the way to go, ie UN or a big country if mccain wins this fall or get himself elected to something again and plan on a 2016 run. As for running in 2012 if mccain wins this fall, the only rational way for that to happen would be if mccain and palin both decline to run in 2012 GOP primary…pretty unlikely and romney was holding an appointed or elected position, or even heading the RNC, which might be a good move for him in any event…now if mccain loses this fall its pretty wide open for alot of folks, ie huckabee, sanford, thune, and pawlenty along with romney…my guess is jindal doesn’t run since he is probably a lock for veep and he is still pretty young.
September 3rd, 2008 at 12:34 pm
Hi Everyone,
I’m very sad that Mitt wasn’t picked, even though Sarah Palin (along with Bobby Jindal) was on my short list. As you all know, McCain could have gone in a direction so many of us would have been entirely unhappy with - Ridge, Lieberman, Pawlenty.
It HAS taken me a couple of days to get used to the idea that Mitt is not on the ticket, however.
But Sarah Palin is a true conservative and for that reason - along with making sure Obama does NOT get in the White House - we need to get behind the GOP ticket with as much heart as we can muster. The future of our country is at stake, and I don’t think that statement is overly dramatic (although a bit staid).
Don’t think it doesn’t pain me to say this, as you all know how I feel about McCain and how loyal I am to Mitt.
I sincerely hope Mitt does take a spot in a McCain administration if offered. Director of the Office of Management & Budget would be GREAT! I can hear the wails and gnashing of teeth from Congress now! *BIG Smiles*
I’m curious to see Sarah Palin’s speech tonight. She has been treated so poorly by the media, hasn’t she? She needs to slam it out of the park. Here’s hoping she doesn just that!

Mac isn’t going to win. Now, 2012: Huckster, Sanford, Tune, Pawlenty along with Romney. Are you kidding me? ROMNEY 2012!!

Love your post MJ from Arizona!! My thoughts exactly!

Mitt would be wise not to take a spot in the McCain administration, you forget McCain will be running this show. He’ll be better than Obama, but he’s still going to leave the country worse off than it is now. Better for Mitt to run in 2012/16 as Mr. Fix-It, rather than Mr. Part of the Problem.
September 3rd, 2008 at 2:10 pm
Also, for the person saying 9:15 pm isn’t prime time, prime time is considered anywhere from 8 to 11 pm, so it IS prime time, and I’m happy to hear it.

Im confused. So many posts here have condemned the Palin pick stating that it was a bad choice for any number of reasons. At the same time, everyone here would agree that Mitt Romney is the most qualified person to be our leader (which I fully agree with) citing his judgement, intelligence and leadership abilities. Tell me then, what am I to think of Mitt when HE says that Sarah Palin IS qualified and IS a good pick. Is he just saying that to go along with the party, or is his judgment flawed? I personally think that he truly believes what he is saying, and that he is putting country first, country before self, before anything. Now, when Mitt is out stumping for this ticket, advising everyone to vote McCain/Palin, can any of you, given as much as you respect him, actually look him in the eye and say, “Sorry, Mitt, but I can’t do that”!
September 3rd, 2008 at 2:33 pm
Mitt is speaking at 9:15, just before Huckabee. It is a schedule change, and it is prime time.
This juggle affirms in my mind that McCain was going to pick Mitt up till a last second flip/flop (heart over reason). In spite of that change, McCain didn’t want to forget all of Romney’s tireless slogging on behalf of his campaign and is rewarding Mitt by moving him down to a better slot, so you can count that in his favor.
However, I am also convinced that McCain has drunken the Democratic Kool-Aid and thinks that we want a president or VP that is “one of us”. If that was the case, why did we make such a big deal out of Huckabee and his following for playing the same brand of identity politics? I do not want “one of us”. I want someone better. Someone who understands my struggles and challenges, but who also has DEMONSTRATED how to successfully deal with them, turn them around, and make them better. That is Romney. Not McCain, and certainly not Obama, even though they both talk the talk (one better than the other, by the way
)
I’m resigned to the fact that this is all for the best… for Mitt, anyway, remaining a safe distance from McCain and his administration. But certainly not the best for us and the country. McCain has fumbled a great opportunity to put “Country First” with Mitt as VP in order to put “Politics First” by tapping Palin. I’m tepid in support of the McCain/Palin ticket, but I’ll support it nonetheless because I’m shocked at the audacity of the Dem’s attempt to foist untested and wrong-minded incompentance down our throats.

Normally 8-11 is primetime. However, for the conventions they are only shown on the broadcast stations from 10 pm - 11 pm. So unless your watching C-SPAN or one of the cable networks decide to show that particular speech its going to be missed by a lot of people. My case in point being Fox News didn’t really show anything until Laura Bush spoke at around 9:30 pm last night. Another example being the DNC speeches on Fox and CNN were not aired uninterrupted until 10 pm.

I’m posting this because what I really want to say is being blocked.
Bad = Obama
Good = Clinton (Heresy, you say! Remember, it’s all relative (and she has some doozies), but she would have been much more centrist than Obama)
Better = McCain
Best = Romney
I’ll settle for better anyday, and ANY republican is better than Obama.

I think Mitt maybe needs to re-think his view on the cabinet…the reality is the sec of treasury job is gonna be pretty vital for the mccain/palin admin and it sure seems like romney is a slam dunk for that spot…its a big prestigious job + its not the strong suit for either mccain and palin, thus they will need some help on that front. Now if he is only offered say sec of labor or something, than i can see why he might not want to be in the cabinet. Well, enough of the cabinet talk…that’s a long way off anyway.

Is it just me or the only things that the american public knows about Sarah Palin are the following:
1.) Daughter Pregnant
2.) Hockey Mom
3.) Moose Burgers
Nothing there tells me she is competent enough to be VP. Now obviously if you are a political afficianado you know her record and accomplishments. However, every single day the media has pounded this message of a gun totin’ Hockey mom with the 17 year old pregnant daughter to the point that it is starting to become her identity.
First impressions matter a lot to relative unknown. If the media defines you first…you spend the majority of the campaign trying to convince people otherwise.
Sarah Palin better knock this speech out of the park tonight.
September 3rd, 2008 at 4:56 pm
25th Amendment: Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
I’ve been pondering this. Sarah Palin does have a lot of serious stuff on her plate. I’m not commenting on how she’ll deal with it, that’s her choice obviously, but it occurred to me that maybe J-Mac had this in mind when he picked her. Then, if she resigned after the election, he could pick who he REALLY wanted, like Lieberman or Ridge.

MJ.
McCain is too much of a loose cannon. I can’t trust his judgement. I’d rather deal with 4 years of someone like Obama who I know will screw it up, than to drink maloxx everyday hoping McCain has a lucid moment.
September 3rd, 2008 at 6:20 pm
Blue,
i don’t want McCain to promise Mitt ANYTHING. It’s just a nose ring for us to support Macbarbie, then the rug will go WHOOSH.
I don’t trust the is team. I can’t. Too many rug pulls.
September 3rd, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Mitt would never be offered a position by Obama. Obama will be winning this in a landslide. Anyone in Utah been reading the papers? We’re not liking this pick, and sincewedid not like McCain in the first place, our warm fuzzies went far, far away.
Mitt has class - enough to stick with the commitment he made to McCain. But we did not make that commitment. I’ll not work for this ticket. I’ll not send money, and will be voting against it. 4 of obama, then were golden again. - we hope.
September 3rd, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Think of how Pawlenty feels, he thought he was his pick! It came down to Palin and Pawlenty. He really wanted Lieberman.
September 3rd, 2008 at 7:06 pm
Then deep six barbie and go for leibeman. I’m much more comfortabe with him, than if Palin has to take over.
September 3rd, 2008 at 9:45 pm
Four years of Obama won’t be so bad. Let’s all be patient for 2012. McCain/Palin is the biggest joke I have ever seen - and so cynical. I don’t trust McCain at all. He is a big weasel.
September 3rd, 2008 at 11:49 pm
Leslie. 4 years wandering in exile is not the end of the world! the jew’s of the bible did it for FOURTY years before they got their act togehter. let’s work hard on the down tickets. the up ticket is worth less than that warm bucket of spit. Give Obama the first 2 years to totally screw it up, and the second 2, a GOP house and senate. to begin to fix things. Then, 12, Reagan II rises.
I wish I could swallow the McCain/Palin (I call it the McBarbie ticket) party line. I can’t. My gut tells me bad idea. 4 out and we have a lot of work to do. Our party is split so bad, we may not be able to fix it. But McCain means there is less a chance we’ll face our problems and work on them.
Sorry Ican’t support this ticket. Not this time. I can no longer walk lockstep.
