Stay Clicked Tomorrow for Eyewitness Report On McCain/Palin/Romney Campaign Rally
August 31st, 2008 Posted in John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Missouri, Mitt Romney, Republican Nominee, Republican Party
The last time I was this tired was at the end of the Iowa Caucuses. The McCain Campaign was hoping for a crowd in the 8,000 to 10,000 range for today’s Rally. They got 23,000. Mitt Romney can sure goose the gate with an appearance, can’t he?
OK, OK maybe McCain and Palin had something to do with it as well. It was a blast! More tomorrow after 8 hours of sleep.

What a crowd! Thanks for checking in with us, John!
Saw the rally on C-Span - quite a performance (and I do mean performance… Huckaworm).Mitt was energetic and funny. McCain and Palin did their job. Anxious to read your first-hand report on this O’Fallon, Missouri rally.

Does anyone know where an online video of the Missouri rally might be?

Can’t wait to hear all the info! Did you hear Mccain say,” He needs Mitt by his side in January.” Laura Bush on Fox, said Palin is very strong, lots of people will be surprised by her. Anxiously awaiting news from Ann Marie and John!!!!!!!

Palin On Abortion: “I’d Oppose Even If My Own Daughter Was Raped”
Why are you not reporting that Palin’s 17 year daughter is pregnant?
This woman is completely out of touch with the mainstream. Being Pro-life is one thing, but trying to ban abortions in cases of rape or incest??

Rusty , I agree and disagree with you , I think that every life is IMPORTANT , but what she said is an election killer in this country .

Evilio, would you force your daughter to keep a baby if she was raped? I sure as heck wouldn’t want my wife to keep a baby if she was raped. I don’t think the morning after pill is abortion.

Rusty , I hear and understand you , but it is still an innocent life that you’d be taking .
Adoption is an option ?

Evelio, I respect your opinion as well; however, I think terminating a pregnancy just days after it is confirmed is far less damaging than forcing a rape victim to carry the perpetrators child to term. Also, I apologize for misspelling your name in my last post.

Is this our Rusty? We hope so. Glad to hear from you. Karen’s been asking about you, we were all concerned. Nice to hear from you, once again.

Paulee, how’s your Labor Day weekend going? Do you stil have company - plan on watching some of the convention? Laura Bush and Cindy McCain are supposed to speak.

The reason I’m not reporting on the pregnancy of Palin’s daughter is because I just heard about it an hour ago.

We had a great weekend, Thank you for asking. My friends are totally heart sick. We so wanted ,as we all did, our man Mitt. We could’t stop trying to make sense of all of this, so dumb founded, or just plain dumb at this point. I saw Laura, I met her here in Lewiston, Me. got her autograph for my grandson. I was thrilled, she is so sweet and kind. Cindy looked wonderful, she will be a fashion plate. Time will tell about her abilities, she has a tough act to follow.
Chris: Romney is too qualified, HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESIDENT!!!! No ifs or buts!!!!!

Yes - understand where you’re coming from. The convention should help shed more light on the new Repub ticket.
Laura Bush and Cindy McCain did look marvelous on the podium yesterday. I wanted them to speak longer - comments were short and scripted. I know they had a put-on-your-American-hat message to deliver, which was entirely appropriate, but would have liked to hear more.
