Forget Trying To Be Successful In This Country People
August 28th, 2008 Posted in Barack Obama, Democrats, Government Welfare, John McCain, Republicans, Success, Welfare
I’m sitting here watching Fox, and they just did the whole “Houses” theme again. I mean freaking give me a break, the moniker for the Dems is DO NOT SUCCEED. FAILURE IS BLISS! Welfare for EVERYONE. I mean how can people NOT see this?
Just a passing thought that I had to get off my chest…now you run with it!

I also was watching Fox and they even mentioned that Mitt Romney did not even make McCain’s short list for VP. They brought up the idea of having two many houses as being one of the downfalls for Mitt. I would be so disappointed if McCain has let the Dems and their silly talking points make him pass by the most qualified person to be his VP. I am just sick to my stomach that they are now kind of ruling out Mitt as the VP. Let’s hope they are wrong!
PS. This is a great site that I check numerous times on a daily basis. Thanks for giving me a place to go to see comments from people that are as fanatical about Mitt as I am!

I just keep hoping that this is the way the McCain camp engineered it - get everyone thinking McCain made a “safe”, boring pick and then, Surprise - it’s really Mitt!

One problem with trying to solve the nation’s problems with government solutions is that Those who are in positions to get something done are career politicians - Washington insiders. The silly electorate expects these smiling hand-shakers to KNOW HOW TO SOLVE PROBLEMS. They know how to smile and shake hands.
If the United States citizenry believes the economy is a disaster, wouldn’t you think they would want SOMEONE in the White House who knows how to trim budgets, find free market solutions, cut taxes, increase trade, and stimulate job growth? Wouldn’t they want an EXPERT on the job instead of a smiling hand-shaker?
Romney’s four homes - one less than John Kerry’s INHERITED residences - should stand as a TESTIMONY of the Romney’s expertise. Romney’s homes are a PLUS - not a negative!
By grab, we’re being controlled by a bunch of stupid, visionless numbskulls.

Add in all those stupid liberal celebrities who have numerous homes too… GRRRRR This topic totally angers me!

It is so true, if you work hard and succeed you must have cheated. It makes me sick. My parents would be qualified as rich but when they were married my dad had a next to useless degree and no job. But he worked hard, lived below his means, and put his family first. I remember when I was young asking him why he wasn’t a millionaire and he said that we wouldn’t be able to spend time with him if he was so we thought it was better he wasn’t. We hardly went on vacations, we ate generic brand food, almost never ate out, and my mom would sew us our clothes. Now since he was such a hard worker he built a reputation for himself and now has a much better job with a bank and because he saved all his money built a much larger beautiful house after personally selling his original which was 100% paid off. My point, who did he hurt by his success? Why should he be punished for hard work and sacrifice?

That’s right, Tami. The degenerate, narcissistic Hollywood conceits are worshipped for their excesses. But to put someone in the highest office in the land who wasn’t born in Rat Town, USA, and didn’t eat didn’t eat squirrel gut casserole every night for dinner, and who never wore a suspendered barrel is unthinkable!
This country is filled with gutless, covetous, lazy, irresponsible, angry, jealous fools. And the politicians who fuel class envy for their own gain are criminals. Successful people create jobs. Successful people pay the largest percentage of taxes. Successful people are paying for our military, and the fuel to keep our fighter jets in the skies and our naval carriers floating. Successful people are paying for the throngs of illegal immigrants that deliver babies here to claim citizenship in our successful country. Successful people are performing heart surgery, filling cavities, launching the space shuttle, running websites, swimming in the Olympics, heading our schools, designing skyscrapers, investing in research and development, running small businesses, and on and on. Successful people make it possible for America to send foreign aid, goods and services to the hurting people of the world. America was built on SUCCESS.
Mitt Romney is an American SUCCESS. Why wouldn’t we want Mitt Romney to help America achieve more success?!
Romney can’t be V.P. because he owns 4 homes?!
What’s up, America?

Did you notice that they said he inherited from his Dad. Well, you had better be a good steward of your money. Mitt turned his good fortune into an empire, that takes smarts and hard work. People are just jealous and he is too secure. He needed to beat Mccain fair and square. He would have, you all know the rest of the story. He’s a good person, try to rest tonight. Tommorrow will be another day. However it goes, let’s be here for one another, okay? Fond regards all

Eric, loved reading about your background. Your parents truly achieved success.
The idea that Romney should be punished for his hard work and sacrifice by not being named as a Vice Presidential candidate demonstrates how wrong-headed America has become. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would never have been elected to office.

Paulee, you bet when the sun rises on the morrow we’ll be here for each other. Fond regards to you, too. You’re a real Romney trooper!

If McCain doesn’t pick Mitt, he’s gutless. And I definitely won’t vote for him.
This is why Senators should never be presidential nominees
I have to think McCain really doesn’t want to win bad enough . . . he’s more interested in rewarding those who kiss his arse.
And Obama is going up on intrade as Pawlenty moves up . . .
August 28th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
Hmmm… If McCain should (heaven forbid) kick the bucket while in office do we want President Pawlenty or President Romney? Pawlenty or Romney? Romney or Pawlenty?
If it’s Pawlenty, come debate night, Biden is gonna twist his head off and kick it to the moon.
August 28th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
And if McCain selects Pawlenty, he has in effect killed Mitt’s chances to be president.
Some reward for Mitt bowing out with such class and clearing the way for Knucklehead McCain.
McCain just watched the whole mess at the Dem convention with the egomaniac Obama refusing to select
If McCain picks Pawlenty, maybe the GOP delegates at the convention will refuse to nominate him. Now THAT would be a maverick thing to do . . . and something McCain should admire, shouldn’t he?
August 28th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
Not to mention the 40 million Mitt forgave so fundraising wouldn’t hurt McCain…
I hope and pray Mitt makes all his money back and then some!
Take that all you crying American communists!
August 28th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Prediction: McCain loses to Obama because I truly believe people are crazy. Then when this country is in worse shape than 1979/80, people will be begging for Romney.
August 28th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
Think. This could be a huge head fake. Remember last week? Biden down, everyone else UP! It was not Byah, was it?
All this could be to get Mitt and his family in place. Then again….
August 28th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Maybe McCain was looking for a reason to disqualify Romney. I have felt all a long that McCain’s ego would not allow him to share the spotlight with Romney. Though I continue to hope he will….
August 28th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
McCain and Pawlenty. A backstabbing, amnesty-loving, nasty old man and a rabid tree-hugger who says, “The era of small government is over.”
If that’s how it ends up, good luck.
August 28th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
Well, why wouldn’t the dems go after Mitt’s and Mac’s money? I mean, that is a weakness. The dems absolutely hate Romney, they don’t want him to be Mac’s running mate because he is a huge threat, and they made sure he was not on the ticket. Good work, dems, you did your job. I won’t be voting for McCain, and watching Mitt campaign for him makes me sick. Go Mitt 2012!
August 28th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
I cannot understand why people would want leaders who haven’t accomplished anything. I want a leader who knows how to succeed. Hey, here’s a crazy thought, I want this country to flourish. Maybe we should have people in charge who have accomplished something. Oh, never mind. Lets just have average, everyday people run this country.
C’mon people! Romney has shown us time and again he knows how to turn bad situations around and make them work. (Can you say 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics?)
August 28th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Mitt wants to be president. Don’t any of you remember Ann Coulter’s article after Romney bowed out. He is playing the good little Elephant. Remember that God knows what he is doing. It may not be what we want but it is what we should deal with. We can pray and pray but does anything we pray for other then comfort and security every really turn out as we want it too? Hope that didn’t come out the wrong way.
Lets cheer up (even though I feel a slight dread building inside). Lets just try to “be of good cheer”.
