Democrats Fear Romney Veep Selection

August 25th, 2008 Posted in Mitt Romney

Leave it to the San Francisco Chronicle to acknowledge what us Mitt-heads already know, Mitt as McCain’s VP will solidify McCain’s experience and enhance the ticket with both foreign and domestic policy gravitas.

“It’s going to make a big difference if Mitt Romney is the V.P.” for McCain, said Nick Isenberg, a Democratic activist from Glenwood Springs. “We have a lot of Mormons in Colorado.”

They always have feared Mitt the most. During the primary season the DNC released twice as many attacks against Mitt Romney as any other candidate.

The liberals are the ones that started all this Flip Flip nonsense when, as Ann COulter says, any study of his record shows he flip flopped on nothing. Becoming politically pro-life is not a flip flop, it is a flip.

As well they should! I have copied my post from another thread below for your reading pleasure. I don’t think many of you saw it where it was buried… This is what I heard on the KSL Doug Wright show this morning. He is in Denver and his guest who made the comments below was from Zogby K

“47% polled said Mitt Romney should be VP. 5% said Pawlenty.

Of Republicans polled, 49% said Mitt and below 5% said Pawlenty.”

Oh, by the way, that was 1st and 2nd place.

?Pawlenty on the ticket brings Obama a victory. If I understand what he is saying, the pick is being made FOR McCain and he is not having to spend time in angst over the decision. He is saying it is foolish for JMc not to pick Romney because the way it stands right now, HE CAN ONLY WIN WITH MITT ROMNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

I am stoked with this report!!!!!!!!!! There was also the fact that it is coming down to abortion and Romney has the definite edge over the pro choice candidates…

WHAT DO YA THINK OF THIS????

    K

I think Ya did really good, Mac better do the right thing by choosing Mitt. Goosh, life would be good. I bet Mccain would get a bounce in the polls with Mitt, ya think?????? Paw, who?? President, who??? Come on Friday, I can hardly sit still.

  4. Chris Says:

Yes, but we’ve also got the folks pushing Palin or Cantor on for Veep. Hopefully, they are just blips.

The Zogby guy said that in the calling process, Mitt was the only one that brought any excitement. It was a very interesting talk. On d-news right now, there is another article about Mitt being in Denver. The comments are pretty positive so far with 1 or 2 exceptions but ignorant people. I just left the information on there that I left on here yesterday along with the counsel to write and call the appropriate places… I pray the words of the guy at Zogby is a portend of things to come.

  6. Paulee & Mike Says:

None of the names have what Mitt has to offer. They better think twice, we’ll get bounce all right, dead ball, without Mitt. Get excited, think positive, it works. We’ll have plenty of time to lick our wounds later. This is America!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting us know about the Zogby poll. Their website has more information on it:

What impressive results for Mitt! And what a mistake McCain will make if he doesn’t pick him.

  8. Karen Says:

JA: I looked for it on the website and couldn’t find it. Thank you so much for doing that for us! K

    EVerybody have a great day!!!!

  9. JA Says:

Mitt and other GOP leaders are holding a “Not Ready ‘08″ press conference today in Denver - scheduled to begin at 3 pm EST.

  10. Karen Says:

Have you heard if that is to be televised??? K

  11. JA Says:

I haven’t heard if it will be televised - but I imagine Fox may show it, just to give us a much-needed break from all this Dem coverage! And I’m sure Sean Hannity will be talking about it on his radio show.

  12. Doug & Darlene Says:

Here is the link to “Not Ready ‘08″. I believe you may be able to tap into the press conference here.
