Halperin Leak “It’s Mitt” Was A Trial Balloon, According to Confidential Source
I just got an email from someone I trust and who has been a Mitt Romney supporter from the jump. This source says that an insider on the McCain team says that Mark Halperin’s leak a couple of days ago was a “trial balloon” to gauge the level of support for Mitt Romney because McCain is “zeroing in on Romney” as his VP pick.
I know we are all getting punchy from the ups and downs of this Veep selection process, but if this information is true, now is the time to pour it on. Swamp every VP poll that you can, email the RNC and the McCain Campaign en masse and let them know that you want Mitt Romney as McCain’s running mate.
Let them know that you will be at your local campaign office the day after Mitt is announced as McCain’s running mate to volunteer to help the Party keep the White House in conservative hands.

John , thanks for the info… is there any way you could get that list of polls back up to vote for Mitt ?
August 24th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
Just want to point out that from the other sources, McCain has not made any decision yet. Yes, Mitt remains on his short list, but he still is looking around for other potential vice president. The latest one is Gen. Colin Powell (ret.). I do not think McCain would make any final decision until middle of next week. I think we will be hearing a few more names before then.
August 24th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
SGS,
That means we have time to influence his final choice! Remember, the source said that McCain was “zeroing in on Romney”, not that any final decision had been made.
August 24th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
I for one am growing “short” with this process. If Senator McCain is so blind as to not see the many, many benefits of Mitt Romney as VP then perhaps Americans and Republicans need four years of a reminder of how fortunate we are to live in the greatest country on earth. I cringe every time I see and hear McCain - knowing Mitt was there would relieve much of my anxiety but if he is not - —–
August 24th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Yes, I agree all the way around. Please get the list of polls up again so that we can go to them and pile it on!
I am or would not be surprised if this was another head fake, trial balloon. However, that being said, what does the man need??? There has been plenty of support for Mitt, every poll in the last several weeks has had him in the lead or 2nd. How much more trial is needed? I don’t know if that is true or not because it just does not seem sensible after the popularity of Mitt is so well known. Look at what happened when the dems launched their little attack on the 15th? I say pick MItt and get on with it!!!!!!! Is it designed for the “e’s”? Sorry to be dense, annoyed and irritated~!
August 24th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
I’m with you Renna, but it’s so close, let’s give it one more big push for Mitt. I can’t believe this is where we are. I’m going to write Mccain right now!

Just watching short bursts of the Dem convention - cannot take more than that at any one time. However, watching these activities SHOULD be enough to convince everyone NOT to vote for the Democrats - how different our every day life will be - the least informed among us are coming out of the wood work - what a danger to our country.

Thanks for the info. I will get busy e-mailing right now!
Over the past month or so, I have sent back at least a dozen requests for money from McCain and the RNC with a polite note: “As soon as Mitt Romney joins the ticket, our family will send you the maximum contribution and devote all our energies to working for your campaign. Thank you!”
Hopefully, the work all of us have been doing has made an impact…

Karen,
I read an article the other day that said McCain’s staff is also worried that Team Obama will demonize Mitt’s success as a venture capitalist. They are already starting the process with the talk about McCain’s 7 or 8 homes. Mitt has 5 or 6.
I say more power to them, but you know the Dems and the MSM will use their financial success as a club to beat them over the head with.
So, trying to see it from JM’s angle, do you go with two rich guys against a populist message that says they only got where they are because they “won life’s lottery” or because the “system is rigged against the little guy”?
The LDS issue is still in play as well. My gut instinct is that the older, white demographic will go with McCain, the pro military voters will definitely go McCain, pro lifers will and economic/business conservatives will go Romney in a landslide.
The election will be close ( as things stand today ) but in the final analysis, the star power and debating skill that Mitt brings into the room can overcome the religious bias/class envy strategies that the Left so dearly loves.
August 24th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
JA,
Exactly the message they need to hear!!
August 24th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Go Mitt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 24th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Karen: I think McCain wanted Pawlenty, his friend. He’s perplexed now, because Biden was chosen. Pawlenty will not fair well against a seasoned Senator. He had a hard time on his interviews for McCain. Romney is sharp and on the ball. What qualities does Paw have for the economy? Wasn’t that the problem on American’s minds most? I’m gonna be sick! This is exasperating!

John Cronin:
Why can’t people figure out this one simple thing: rich guys can show you how to get rich. They know how to do it. No poor guy ever gave me or anyone else a job! I would rather have in office the man who can show us all how to do it so to speak as opposed to the “little guy” who whines all his life because the “system is rigged against me”. I have read alot of demonizing against Mitt because he is rich, so you’re not?, either figure it out or shut your mouth. Live and appreciate whatever blessings God has for you and that you can accumulate on your own.
I know my rant solves not one little or big problem, but it surely does make e feel better!
August 24th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
I don’t think that voting in these polls helps out one way or the other. I mean anybody can just sit and vote in these polls all day long, I highly doubt John McCain or his aids or advisers are going around the internet every day looking at polls to see who to choose for his VP and if he is that would scare me personally. This should not be some lame popularity contest, now I’m not saying that they aren’t fun to play around with I just don’t put any stock in them in terms of helping Mitt become VP, if he’s destined to be VP it’ll happen, if he’s not he’s not. I hope he is, but I’m not losing any sleep over this or going out of my way to vote in every internet poll imaginable. Sorry for sounding glum, I truly am not. That’s just how I feel about it all.
August 24th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Karen: You are right, just hang in there. Keep your good thoughts. We’ll make it. This is a BIG week, I hope we will be rewarded with our hopes and dreams for our country.
August 24th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
Paulee:
I guess it could be that they are friends and he wanted his friend, but this is real life. Get a grip you bunch of 3rd graders!!!!!! You don’t want to pick your friend who cannot really hit the ball, you want to pick the one who (even though you are afraid of them) can smack the ball out of the ball park!!!! You put your arm around your friend and tell them they too can have a good position on the team, just not that one.
moral of this rant: pick the guy who can hit the ball out of the park and that is Mitt Romney!!!!
August 24th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
I’ve got nice little idea for you guys. I posted it in rebuttal to some nuts idea that McCain won’t pick Romney because the Dems will run ads of Romney attacking McCain. But McCain’s “Passed Over” Hillary ad is really (just another recent) clue that Romney’s the choice. My post:
“Not Mitt because of Dem ads? No way! The rebuttal to that lame argument is right in the McCain’s new “Passed Over” ad!! It mocks Obama’s thin skin! He passed over the smart choice because he couldn’t take her criticism!!! Get it, guys??? Message: coming soon, McCain WON’T pass over the smart choice (Romney) because of Romney’s past criticisms. Because Mccain is a thick-skinned adult and Obama is a little baby. This ad innoculates McCain against the coming Dem ads you say he’s scared of! McCain is actually saying to the Dems here: “Bring it on!”
August 24th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
The ad is also perhaps aimed at Huckabee - don’t be a baby! Huck is appearing with Mitt and Mac in Mo right after the v.p. choice is made, remember!
August 24th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Copp, I like the way you think and hope so much you are correct! In light of the Hillary ad, it does seem like McCain will look foolish if he doesn’t pick Mitt.
Is anyone else feeling fired up and full of nervous energy about this? I was so wrapped up in sending another round of pro-Mitt e-mails out that I completely forgot dinner was on the stove and burned it… My hubby and kids were very understanding, because they love Mitt, too!
August 24th, 2008 at 5:21 pm
I really don’t think not picking Mitt is going to make the Dems stop attacking McCain for being rich. They’re not going to say “oh, he picked Mike Huckabee who only makes ten grand per speaking appearance, he’s just a common man like the guy at McDonald’s, better lay off the rich guy attacks on McCain.” Better to pick Mitt and prepare a rebuttal saying “here are two leaders who don’t depend on the government for a living. They are just in it to help their country.” It will be especially helpful if Mitt pledges his VP salary to charity as he offered for the top spot, especially if McCain would join him. It would also make Obama and Biden look bad because they aren’t exactly poor themselves, and while they just talk the talk, McCain and Mitt walk the walk.
August 24th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
Thanks Ja. Funny story. I am getting pumped too. Especially because I love the clever and funny way McCain’s been conducting his campaign! Did you get the little joke on the religious nonsense we’ve had to endure in the ad’s title - Passed Over? Passover. McCain’s been flaunting his love affair with orthodox Jew Lieberman for weeks … and NOW he’s signalling here that he’s not going to Passover the Mormon. Rather, he’s going to embrace him!!! And Huckababy (also addressed in this ad!) will have to get over it too! And he BETTER DAMN WELL LIKE IT!!!
August 24th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
excellent articles in today’s Salt Lake trib (a very left leaning paper… Even for Salt Lake!). It talks about how McCain needs the west more than ever. Without the west, the election (which will be very close) is lost.
Take note, rabid e’s. Mac NEEDS the west, not the South to win.
August 24th, 2008 at 5:52 pm
The Huckster is ahead ! VOTE MITT .
http://blogsforjohnmccain.com/
August 24th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Watching Shep on Fox, listening to Obama’s campaign manager say how will Mccain explain away the pig story he used on Mitt during primary. Is anyone beginning to think Mitt would be better off out of the fray? There saying Mccain and Mitt are two elites. They don’t identify with everyday Americans. Is Mccain going to see Huck as more of a connector with waitresses, truck drivers, and he probably only has one home, if that. Gee, this is getting way too scary. What a slap in the face that would be! Ouch! Someone tell me I’m crazy! What ever happened to the American Dream?
August 24th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
McCain’s sense of humor is especially enjoyable because it is something the pompous Obama campaign sorely lacks.
I’ve been avoiding Huck on Fox News, but last night I was up in the middle of the night with two sick kids, turned on the TV and there was goober Huck along with that sleazeball Geraldo. Geraldo made some comment about how he wouldn’t be surprised if McCain picks Huck instead of Mitt. Ugh, the two of them made my skin crawl!
August 24th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
A brilliant ad if Mac picks Mitt and they start hammering on the ‘wealth’ of these two:
Highlight all the good they do with their money, giving to charity, taking care of their families, employing people to help care for the homes, etc. THEN quietly say
We did make good money in our careers. We made money the old fashioned Way. We EARNED it.
August 24th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
JA, don’t worry, Huckabee is not in the running. If he is picked, McCain loses. Too many independents and Democrats are, justifyably, turned off by someone so overly religious. Huckabee would get McCain 1 Evangelical vote for every three he loses.
August 24th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Honestly JA, if Mac does have a stupid attack and picks Huck, I can’t vote for that ticket. I know, I know. The Supreme Court, etc. But we’ll be fine. God has a plan. I just know with Huckabee, he makes a very small faction happy, but the rest of america can’t vote for him. How the west was lost? Just pick huck.
August 24th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Steveinbrooklyn,
Sorry to disagree. The primaries have shown that an evangelical can get votes too. If Huckabee is picked (God forbid! . . . can I say that?), then he will definitely get the WASP vote for McCain, and by a landslide. However, it’s economic policy that worries me most. Romney bashing aside, I would have actually liked Huckabee as a nominee until he started the “Jesus juice” thing. His so-called “compassionate conservatism” is what Bush used with the following results: (A) compassionate conservatism didn’t work; and (B) Bush is lambasted as the most uncompassionate President in a century! Huckabee appears to be of this mold too, and the results must be the same as well.
August 24th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Sean Hannity is a relentless advocate for Mitt Romney. Night in and Night out he throughs Romney’s name out there as a possible VP pick on Fox. I really wish here were more voices so McCain could finally get the hint and make the right choice.
August 24th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Here’s the letter I just wrote to the McCain campaign:
Dear Senator McCain:
I am a 47-year-old mother of 2 and have been a Republican for my entire life. I proudly cast my first presidential vote for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and have voted Republican since.
I have 5 sisters (3 who live in Boston and 2 who live in Florida) and 1 brother (also in Florida), with tons of extended family who usually vote Republican right down the line . . . as well as a 20-year-old son at the University at Florida voting in his first election (who was on board with you from the beginning), and a 24-year-old daughter living in Virginia.
My father is 75 years old, brought up in the tough Irish ghettos of NY City, and a conservative Roman Catholic to this day. He voted for Richard Nixon in 1960 against the wishes of his entire family, who were swept up by the idea that the first Roman Catholic could be president. But my dad was the original Maverick in his family and decided that his country’s future was more important than identity politics. He has voted Republican in every presidential election since.
I tell you all this because I’m concerned. Just about every member of our family (especially Dad) feels they can’t bring themselves to vote for President this election, unless Mitt Romney is your VP pick.
My daughter has even flat out told me that she will not bother to vote for you unless Mitt is on your ticket.
Even her very liberal boyfriend - a big Barack Obama supporter by the way - with whom she lives in Virginia, shocked me by saying he will vote for you if Mitt is your VP pick. Why? My daughter and her boyfriend attended liberal universities in Boston, but admired Mitt’s work on the Mass health care plan and really liked him as governor while they lived there.
Maybe my family is an anomaly, but if not, it clearly shows that your potential choice of Mitt as your VP nominee appeals to an awful lot of people.
If Mitt Romney is your VP choice, I will head over ASAP to our local Republican headquarters in Fort Myers or Cape Coral, Florida to volunteer my heart out for your campaign.
Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign is the first one I’ve EVER donated to. If he is on your ticket, I will donate to your campaign as well.
I sincerely hope you will listen to your base and keep your promise at the CPAC convention to earn back the trust of conservatives. Choosing Mitt Romney as your VP nominee would go a long way toward doing that.
Thank you.
August 24th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
Great letter Marybeth!!!
August 24th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
Thank you, SED.
I AM concerned. We had a family birthday dinner tonight, and McCain’s VP pick was the main topic of conversation. My dad was especially adament about his refusal to vote if McCain picks a liberal for his running mate. Dad reeled off the names that were unacceptable to him and Huckabee was at the top of that list.
Pawlenty was also on that list - in Dad’s words, “a wussy, mushy moderate masquerading as a conservative. I hope McCain isn’t stupid enough to pick a boy to play in the grown-up world of politics. Even Biden would eat him alive.” (I did had to laugh at that.)
Dad said Jindal and Palin would be acceptable, but he preferred they stayed in the bullpen for the next few years.
August 24th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Great letter. I think there are a lot of intelligent Democrats who like Mitt because they can see he is intelligent too and a very reasonable “good government” type politician. I used to be that kind of a very partisan idealistic Democrat and yet I was a big fan of both Nelson Rockefeller and George Romney. Faced with the prospect of a screwball lightweight ticket like Obama/Biden, a lot of reasonable “good gov’t” type voters will choose the McCain/Romney option - just like the boyfriend!
August 24th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Andrew, I respectfully disagree.
Huckabee has “negatives” much larger than his positives, and negatives much larger than Mitt Romney does. I am Jewish, and live in NYC, and while New York may be lost for the Republicans, I think I’m in a pretty good position to gauge the target audience for the VP pick people on the politcal fence; people who are scared, or uncomfortable with Obama. Those very same people are/would be scared by Huckabee; think of it this way; if the race was, G-d forbid, between Hillary Clinton and Mike Huckabee, my dilemma would be to either vote for Hillary, or stay home, and duck and cover.
Huckabee isn’t on the real Short List; he just isn’t. How can I put this…of the people McCain doesn’t have yet, and needs to woo, there is fear that “the Christian Right” is too powerful in the country. Whereas a Huckabee pick would reinforce that fear, a Mormon pick would not, especially with someone as distinguished and impressive as Mitt Romney. My neighbors find Huckabee scary; they find Mitt Romney distingushed and religiously quirky (as a Mormon). Quirky wins out of scary.
I know some of the people reading this have Huckabee nightmares, and that’s understandable, but they are little more than nightmares: figments of your imagination.
The real risk is that someone such as Pawlenty will be chosen over Romney. Even Lieberman is more likely to be picked, although I don’t really think that’s likely either.
August 24th, 2008 at 7:43 pm
(even Lieberman is more likely to be picked than Huckabee)
August 24th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
Before the Biden pick I would have said Mitt’s chances are about 60% of getting picked.
Right after the pick I would say 75%, because Pawlenty to most seems to “soft” against Biden.
After the McCain attack ad’s on Biden, listening to the pundits, and now finding out about the trial balloon; I think it’s between 45% - 50%.
What are anyone else’s estimates? I think most here feel pretty confident, because we all love Mitt. However, if we looked objectively I think it’s 45% - 50%.
August 24th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Marybeth: I loved your letter. It was quite fun finding out all of those things about you and your wonderfully Irish family. I loved the family and Irish flare.
All that aside, I loved that you appealed to his sense of family and the country needing to be made whole and unified. At least, that is how I felt when I read it. I hope he does too.
SED: I pray his chances are higher than that. For me, I would still say about 75%. That leaves 25% room for thinking about Pawlenty or someone else less prepared than Mitt. I hope he will be sensible, exercise that other 75% and do the right thing for America. Intrade is encouraging to me.
I got to thinking of all the ‘odd, outside groups” that they polled or whatever you call it. It was months ago. I remember that the American Psychic Asociation said it would be Mitt and so American Bookmaking Association (is there really such a thing?) said it would be Mitt. Just a fun aside…
Copp: I liked your post on race42008. They are obstinate over there aren’t they???
K
August 24th, 2008 at 8:05 pm
I think its still around 60% or greater.
I looked on YouTube, and could not find a video with both Mitt Romney and Joseph Biden (I guess that would be a Sunday morning news show video; if there is one, it will likely show up on someone’s blog this week).
By the way, if anyone out there is a semi-political junkie, but not yet to the point of consulting Google Reader, or some other RSS aggregator a thousand times a day, you might check out:

100%. Mitt will not be Passed Over! It’s clear as day to me now. Also, McCain has the goods on Obama and he’s confident he’ll win, and he wants Mitt to do his Bain number on the Federal Government - a job Mitt has been itching to do for a while, and McCain has been talking about forever. There IS life after all the polling and voting is over, you know!!

A.O.L. poll powell leads by a lot.
August 24th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
Thanks for the AOL poll Evelio.
The poll is phrased in a way that benefits Powell. It asks, ” Who do you think would help McCain most as running mate?” Powell wins by 70%.
If the question was, “Who will be McCain’s running mate?” or “Who should McCain pick?” it would be very different.
Powell politically would help McCain a great deal just like a Lieberman or Palin pick would. They are all sensationalist picks that would get big headlines. However, in reality their records and campaign acumen would probably hurt McCain.
August 24th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Powell isn’t interested; and McCain doesn’t want him. He needs Domestic Policy Guy. Also, Powell is associated with the Bush Administration.
August 24th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
OK, that is something I want an answer to: Why do they keep recycling these people who have said over and over that they are not interested??? I don’t get that. I remember Sarah Palin said she doesn’t want it yet they keep putting her name out there. Same with Joe Lieberman, Powell and so many others… why is this so??
August 24th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
Karen, it’s called television ratings. And web site page views.
August 24th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
From watching the shows, it is obvious why the liberals so quick to put down Romney. It is called FEAR. The believe by dogging him so much McCain wouldnt pick him.
Let Obama and Biden (two very rich men themselves) continue to talk about how wealthy McCain and Romney are. Our guys should ignore it and talk about topics such as the economy and national security. That us what will win the election.
August 24th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
I think Romney’s VP chances definitely went up after that “Passed Over” commercial. Either that or McCain really wants to throw away the election. You never know with him.
August 24th, 2008 at 10:31 pm
bigmo, FWIW, Hillary came a good deal closer to winning than Mitt Romney did, so I am not sure the two are analogous. Nor is there any clear precedent for the “runner-up” being first in line to be VP. Mitt Romney should be VP due to combination of his background, and how it complements John McCain’s; and due to finishing a strong second. So I don’ really think that mocking BHO for not picking HRC, by itself, pressures on John McCain to pick Mitt Romney.
August 24th, 2008 at 11:34 pm
Well, Mitt didn’t garner as many votes as Hillary, that’s for sure. However, many people have the notion that McCain doesn’t get along with Mitt and holds some sort of grudge from taking criticism during the primaries which is preventing him from picking the most qualified candidate. I don’t see the point of an ad chastising Obama for doing the same, so in my view the ad ups Mitt’s odds.
August 25th, 2008 at 6:33 am
Deseretnews is reporting that Mitt Romney IS the pick, but McCain has not confirmed it. They did not cite their sources. I heard it while listening to KLO in SLC, on Bill Bennetts show a few minutes ago (about 0630 MST).
Well, they’ve been wrong before.

Actually, Brooklyn Couch, there IS a clear precedent for the Presidential nominee picking the 2nd place guy for VP - Reagan and Bush 41.
August 25th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
Mary, what I meant is that picking the runner up as VP is not automatic. Though I hope it is in this case!
August 25th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
Okay, Brooklyn Couch - just wanted to make that clear. No worries!
Actually, it was very smart of Reagan to pick Bush 41. They gathered in the moderates and pragmatic wings of the GOP and united the party, for a major landslide win in 1980.
McCain says he admires Reagan and was “a foot soldier in the Reagan Revloution.” Well, let’s see if he follows the Gipper and succeeds in uniting the Republican party by choosing Mitt!
August 25th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
Mitt Romney can bring in the win for McCain–case closed.
He knows how to talk to middle America–he effectively communicates his views–not like Obama & Biden who are all over the place with 1/2 truths and alot of hot air!!
Mitt is easy to follow and compliments John McCain perfectly!
August 25th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
So whats all this talk about Palin then? Steele, Ingraham? (although I heard her this am hoping for Romney).
August 25th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
I think it’s a 33% chance now whether Mitt gets in. We all know who McCain really wants - Lieberman. We know who the bigots want - Huck, or Pawlenty if they can’t have Huck. We know who the reasonable republican wants-Romney. Let’s see if Mac goes with his heart, caves into pressure, or makes the most logical choice. I’m hoping he’ll make the logical choice.
August 25th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
All these experts keep saying VP doesn’t matter. I beg to differ, I think because of John’s history of cancer and age, he could become ill. God forbid, he’s made it this far, hopefully he will do his term if it’s a win for him. Now, who is VP, if worst should happen, is now the President. I think it matters alot in the republican race. If Obama had misfortune, at least Biden is experienced and seasoned. Just a thought. I think it’s valid.
August 25th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
We will know the 29th! Everybody please take a deep collective breath and wait. We will know and by that time we will either be very happy or will go with our own ideas about what to do. Whatever we do though we need to unite the party. We can rely on the leaders to do it all by themselves. We need to do it.
August 25th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
spelling error *We can’t rely on the leaders to do it all by themselves.

Sarah , I’m with you on unity , but not with the Huckster.

Ditto, Emilio. The Huckster is a deal-breaker for me as well.

I am holding to my non-vote for McCain if Romney is not picked. It tells me all I need to know about McCain if he chooses someone else. He will lose a large portion of the base w/o MR.

With a warning and disclaimer for the language you will find in the comments, an entertaining, hopefully telling thread:

Oh gosh. I had forgotten how absolutely amusing everybody on Hotair is. It is very nice to see that those Huck people are at it with calling us Mormon’s anti-Christian…really. I have to get a sense of humor and pray those people have a change of heart really fast. Oh I can’t wait till Friday. I am as nervous as I was during the primaries. I hope it is Mitt.

Sarah
It’s the new ‘tatic’ by the Huck crowd. the anti-mo stuff did not work. then, the ‘but he could have gone against the law in Mass’ thing did not work. Then the ‘it’s not about his religion, but his POLITICS did not work. Then the ‘He has not been ‘conservative’ long enough’ did not work. Now, tey are floating the ‘Mormons are Anti-Chistian’ line. That’s a sinker too. Churc of JESUS CHRIST of Latter - day Saints? Hellow? Earth to huckbats. WE ARE CHRISIAN! Duh…

Huckabee is also my deal breaker. I was told last night that if Huck is on the ticket, then the moromons here in the west will toe the line and vote. I’m not so sure about that. I think that if huckabee is on the ticket, Utah is lost, as is Nevada, Idaho and Colorado. We are tired of being told to sit down, shut up, fork over the cash and vote this way. Oh, and our sons and daughters will never be able to grow up to be president or vice president. Were second class.
