I haven’t been aware of any of her articles until now, but Mitt Romney has got a big fan in Marie Jon. Check out her excellent article at RENEWAMERICA.US.

We will soon know who the Democrat and Republican vice-presidential candidates will be. Who will Sen. John McCain pick to stand beside him? Although to some it is doubtful, will Mitt Romney be his choice?

Common sense almost dictates that “the candidate Republicans should be clamoring for is the one liberals are most feverishly denouncing. That is Mitt Romney by a landslide.” — Ann Coulter

Evangelical Christians have been aware of the dirge sung by those who, for whatever reason, wish to exclude Romney from consideration for the VP post on the Republican ticket. Very well-crafted words are being used to try to induce Evangelicals to withhold their votes from this very qualified man because of his (Mormon) faith.

Political pundits have broken down some of these misconceptions. Romney’s conservatism is accepted among Evangelicals. His experiences as a businessman are appealing in today’s weak economy. His years of successfully working within the global economy demonstrate his knowledge of how markets work. He would strengthen the ticket in light of McCain’s perceived weakness on economic issues.

“I’d Pick Romney’ as McCain’s Running Mate.” — Karl Rove

Ann is right. The liberals are denouncing Mitt every chance they get. The even have Huck doing it. : )

  2. MJ from AZ Says:

The AFA (evangelical group) has sent a poll out to it’s vast membership asking them to tell who they want as the VP. Of course Huckabee is winning. but Romney is next. IT is a funny poll because you can vote more than once. They plan to send the results to McCain.

I was over “visiting” Huck’s Army for a bit and seen a letter posted from Gregg Jackson. Well one that he asked someone else to post there to “get the word” out about Romney. It is filled with false statements about Romney and it makes me so mad. I emailed it to Sean Hannity lol but I don’t know if that will help. I can imagine just how many emails he gets a day.

  4. Paulee & Mike Says:

Huckabee is a weasel and a poor loser. He’s unfaithful to our party, he is petty and jealous. These character flaws are almost equal to Obama, so close I wouldn’t vote ever for either of them.

  5. Mit 10 Says:

Obama has picked his running mate. I will go with Hillary because I think it is a better strategy to win the White House. What say you………..

  6. amy Says:

“I won’t comment on anything else until I introduce our running mate to the world,” he said Thursday. “That’s all you’re going to get out of me.” Barack Obama

This is what Obama said today. The word “world” stands out to me. Obama is so obsessed about what the “world” thinks about him.
I agree with Mit 10 about Hillary. It would almost be a slam dunk for Obama.

  7. StevenInBrooklyn Says:

I think Mitt would stand up well against Hillary, who, I think is the only VP that gives Obama a chance. At this point, Obama is at 40% toast. STAND BY FOR FURTHER TOAST UPDATES. ;-)

Without Hillary, I think Obama is burnt toast.

Check out these poll results from Fox News:

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,408182,00.html

“When presented with a trio of potential vice presidential choices for each candidate, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney delivered the most positive boost to a ticket - inducing fully 28 percent to say they would be “much more likely” to vote for McCain if Romney were on-board.”

The poll results are some interesting reading. Note that Mitt also fares the best among evangelicals!

If it is Mitt vs Hillary on VP ticket, I can’t wait for the debates. I wonder if Hillary will offer to show her tattoo? People in MA will understand that from one of MR’s Governor race debates.

  12. Chris Says:

Hillary on Obamo’s ticket? If he picks here, it is only because he’s watching his numbers drop faster than a rock. They HATE each other (wasent that the argument for Mitt and Mac?) Desparate people call for desparte moves. Hillary would prove he’s desparate. And JSM can have the upper hand in one little announcement.
“Ladies and Gentlemen. I present to you the next vice president of the United States. Willard ‘Mitt’ Romney.” The cheers would be deafening.

I get chills just thinking about John McCain introducing Mitt Romney. WOW! A lot has happened since super Tuesday. Hoping still hoping.

  15. Paulee & Mike Says:

Karen: Where are you? Everything okay? We’ll make it!

  16. Karen Says:

Good Morning Paulee. I am here and I am fine. I have been in lots of meetings the last few days in preparation for school to start up again! Today is normal, so I shall be around. Thanks for asking about me!

All this positive talk about Mitt is pretty cool, let’s just hope it is true. His new answer now when someone asks is theat he “would not dream of giving counsel to McCain about this subject”, that McCain will “trust his instincts, which have served him well in the past”. Good answers and it has certainly changed… I guess we just keep watching, hoping, working and praying! It is getting really interesting!!!

  17. Mit 10 Says:

I am hearing Mitt. I think America is going to be very excited next Friday. I wonder if McCain will get a major bounce from the announcement.

  18. Mit 10 Says:

Okay, maybe I am getting to excited. Still hoping.

  19. Chris Says:

Temper the excitement. The radical e faction (small e, meaing very minority section) are still trying to pull off a huckabee vp nom.

  20. Paulee & Mike Says:

I maybe could have voted for Huck. He has had time to earn our trust and forgiveness, instead he still tries to elevate himself by trying to hurt Mitt’s reputation and chances. Sorry, he is not a true Christian, I cannot vote for him. He could be President. I do not trust him or his abilities, he earned this place by being who he is. To use Fox News as his vehicle to bad mouth Mitt is pretty low. Deceiving his party, using Fox News, is in my book ,unforgivable.
