“Obama is not a radical”

August 19th, 2008 Posted in Mitt Romney

Seems like we’ve remained pretty focused on the GOP side of things, but I just had to share this post from NRO’s The Corner. It’s an excellent, concise set of facts which are downright damning for BHO to anyone to the right of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Last night on one of the talking head shows Dick Morris casually stated that Obama is not a radical. Perhaps not. But consider that according to recent polling, Obama’s positions on the following issues are opposed by a median of 76% of respondents:

- Obama supports giving driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants
- Obama supports racial preferences in public employment, contracting and school admissions
- Obama opposes a ban on partial birth abortions
- Obama would cut funding for research and development of “unproven” missile defense systems
- Obama opposes making English the official language for doing business with the U.S. government
- Obama opposes the Supreme Court decisions prohibiting racial assignments of grade school children
- Obama opposes parental notification for minors obtaining abortions

Moreover, Obama

- would talk without precondition with the leaders of state sponsors of terror
- is the only U.S. senator to vote against the language of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act
- supports giving foreign terrorists habeas rights
- contends William Ayers is a mainstream member of the community
- for twenty years belonged to a church whose pastor, Obama’s mentor, was prone to making, well, somewhat radical statements
- plans to raise payroll, income, capital gains and estate taxes
- despite recent rhetoric, never opposed a gun ban

has received the following ratings:
- NARAL — 100%
- NEA — A
- ACORN — 100%
- Planned Parenthood — 100%
- National Taxpayers Union — F
- Family Research Council — 0%
- Citizens Against Government Waste — 13%
- NRA — F

Obama may not be a radical, but the National Journal’s assessment that he’s the most liberal member of the U.S. senate is well-deserved. Nonetheless, I’d like to know how Morris defines “radical.”

This is so unreal… first off, it is further proof that good old boy Dick Morris does not ever know what he is talking about. The ONLY time I have ever agreed with him was when he was talking about Hillary. He seems right on that, but what about the rest of the time???

This is a great clarifying article that would be put to good use accessing for other posts to clear people up and help them to think right and straight. People really need to be informed about him.

Can you believe so much of the great land is believing what this man says and toeing the line right behind him??? Unreal to me. How has America fallen so far and lost her vision? More prayer… wow

Thanks for the post, David. That’s quite a list!

If Obama isn’t radical then Britney Spears is a perfect mother.

Dick Morris is a daft political pundit.

    Excellent compilation. Thanks for posting.

Ever since I found out Dick Morris is in cahoots with Huckabee, I switch the channel as soon as I see him. No use listening to someone with that poor of judgement.

Sorry my post appeared 2X everyone. It wouldn’t go through the first time so I tried again and now they are both there! Ah, the beauties of the electronic age!

I recall the ever-so-insightful Dick Morris predicting this election would be Hillary Clinton vs. Condaleeza Rice. Very astute. Besides, as everyone in politics knows, no matter how radical someone actually IS, you’re not allowed to call them a radical on the air unless they are a conservative. Its “racist” or something to that effect.

    Did anyone catch Rush today?

He said “Romney would be an excellent VP choice and one I would support.”

But then he said laughlingly (to paraphrase), “I should take that back because then people would say that McCain was doing what I said to do.”

He also said that Huckabee was doing his best to derail Mitt as the VP choice among evangelicals. Trust Rush to say it straight!

I’m soooo glad Rush put his seal of approval on Mitt.

A whole lot of people just heard all this.

    Hopefully McCain will listen!

Do you really think that Dick Morris is saying this because of his health? Or beauty? Of course not. I guarantee you that Morris is saying these things because “the Almighty Dollar” is involved, somewhere, somehow. It all boils down to the money.

That is why I have not watched Bill O’Reilly for 6 months now. I can’t stand Dick Morris and all of the other liberal huligans.

Go Mitt. I have told McCain, NO MITT - NO MONEY, NOT VOTE.
