Mitt Romney on “Your World”

June 25th, 2008 Posted in Mitt Romney

Mitt’s still a key player in the GOP, and he’s still being as well-spoken and educated as ever on today’s tough issues. Enjoy.

Romney is his own best advocate. The guy simply “gets it.”

I like Mitt’s new term: energy sufficient. The tired old “energy independent” monologue was mucked about for 30 years and had become monotone “white noise.” Nobody listened. NOW, because fuel costs have become the bloody axe that hacks away at our incomes, people are boo-hooing. Let’s stop boo-hooing and elect candidates who understand what becoming ENERGY SUFFICIENT means.

And Romney, keep tellin’ it like it is!

Thanks for posting. It’s great to see.

  3. Steve Andrew Says:

Nice, he was on MSNBC too, just forgot the show. I’ll try to post it later if I remember the name.

  4. Wolfagain Says:

THANKS! Good to see Mitt again.

  5. Paulee & Mike Says:

Mitt is quality, he gets it. Thanks for this posting. Did anyone catch him on CNN, the situation room? I missed it. How did he do? Need I ask? Looks like he’s doing well in all the polls, is that because of all his exposure since the primaries and people finally realize what a great President he would have been? Think America was napping!

  6. Paulee & Mike Says:

Opps, must tell you all, I saw Huck on Hannity last night, I think it was his first appearance on Fox. He looked well rested, and they’ve done a makeover!!! Notice his new teeth. Too bad they can’t makeover his hateful remarks during the primaries. Someone made the comment this is where he belongs. Obviously, they did not see him as President. He is a windbag, very dangerous, he best not make any stupid remarks or untruths. Fox News may have made a mistake. He was with Rev. Dodson, who we remember endorsed Huck. , Rev. Dodson doesn’t think Obama is a Christian, here we go again. Does this mean, if by chance VP is Mitt, we will revisit Mitt’s religion, or because he is a Mormon, Mccain and GOP won’t even consider him? He’s been vetted.I’ll rip through TV, media, etc. if that becomes a Huck, Dodson issue. Does anyone think we should voice by e-mails etc. our feelings before Huck gets a chance
to ruin Mitt’s chances????Some are saying, Mccain will go less conventional. Could be Lieberman or a woman. Help!!!!!!!!!!

    Amanda,

Thanks for the embed. Mitt made two great points. We are sending a $Billion per day out of this country, not to Exxon, not to oil speculators, but to dictators who hate us and everything this country stands for.

The second point is that Congress can’t do bupkis to “regulate oil speculators” because oil is a GLOBAL commodity and can be traded from anywhere is the world.

  8. amanda Says:

    Thanks all for your comments.

John, I liked that he pointed out the $billion we are sending overseas to dictators as well. It is true that energy “sufficiency” truly is a national security issue. Everything relates back to our safety these days. All the more reason to get a republican elected this fall.

PauleeeandMike, we all still can’t stand Huck, either. I don’t think emails to FOX could hurt. Go for it! But to me, the more exposure he has (on TV or anywhere else) the more idiotic and foolish he looks. I am sure he’ll dig his own grave in no time. Mormon-haters really are his only audience. And luckily, I really don’t see much of the conservative base fitting into that category (I hope I’m right).

Mitt is absolutely quality, and he absolutely does GET IT. He always has. It just seems like now that he’s out of the race, more and more people are realizing this. Let’s hope they’re all having a little “voters remorse” and that we’ll get these people on-board for 2012! Mitt’s constantly making guest appearances on TV and radio and is showing he is a true and capable leader. I heart Mitt! =)

I’ll keep my eye out for more clips of him, too. . . it really IS good and refreshing to see!

Bill O’Rilley today said that McCain can only pick Mitt, because of MI. McCan can’;t win without Michigan. He also needs the cash flow that will come with a mitt choice. A Huck choice will send obama out to sears to measure for drapes for this BB court.

  10. Trooperdad Says:

Time away from a campaign and a sideline’s-eye-view make Mitt look better and better compared to Obama and McCain. His ability to speak plainly, address the problem concisely, and try to find the solution are sorely needed in today’s political leadership.

  11. Steven G Stubbs (aka SGS) Says:

With the recent spar between Obama and Dobson, having Huckabee on McCain’s ticket would be the worst thing McCain can do, only because Huckabee will make Obama look heavenly with his argument that Obama does not know his Bible. Huckabee may speak very well, but his logic is seriously lacking, as bad as Obama. But Huckabee is quite passionate about Bible, as he should. So, you have a passion and a lack of logic, not quite a good mix to have on your ticket! Obama definitely will be busy next few months going after Evangelicals and other Christians. You do not want Huckabee to fight him for them.

  12. bigmo Says:

If you have a problem, and the solution is a corny one-liner, turn to Huckabee. If you need a real solution go to Romney.

  13. Lizzy Says:

Amazing what a decent upbringing, good education, and commitment to a high moral standards will do for you. The guy is sharp. Was nice not to have to roll my eyes every so often like I do when Obama or McCain speak.

  14. Doria/Texas Says:

Gov Mitt is so informed on the issues. Very well spoken, as usual. Good answer on ’speculators’ all over the world, not just in the USA. He has my vote if he decides to run for the presidency again in 2012.
Does anyone know about the Gov. Mitt Romney Open Forum at the CNN Situation Room? I read about it on the unitethegop blog dated June 24, 2008. You can actually submit ???’s to Gov Mitt…Hope I haven’t missed it.

  15. John Says:

I can’t believe that America let Mitt get away! I hope that 2012 will be a different story. We need to all be ready to get to work when the call goes out, sometime in 2010!
