Romney may be just too honest for Mccain. Less see, doesn't smoke, drink alcohol, probably never uses foul language, Mitt is a gentleman, even tempered, has a great mind, has worked to be successful in the business world. Personally, here we find these traits refreshing. Let's see what the future brings???

http://www.nationaljournal.com/njmagazine/cs_20080621_9379.php

The National Journal Magazine published a nice article on the Democrat and Republican vetting process. I did a google of the background of Pawlenty versus Romney. Mitt is a much stronger candidate with infrastructure, health care, and issues along with leadership of his administration. Tim looks plagued by poor choices in his administration with multiple high profile resignations. Tim looks plagued by dogma and gamesmanship.

Tim/McCain seems to highlight an opening for Democrats in the national debate - infrastructure. The sound bites of drilling are nice. And the gamesmanship of polling is cute. It does little to change the needs for less consumption, more infra-structure, and more alternatives sources.

Just singling out the factor of supply-demand, Britain is a good case example. Drilling gave a short term boast to supply and that supply is now in precipitous decline. Both public transportation/infrastructure and reduced demand has smoothed the current global shock and decline in domestic supply.

McCain and his handlers are consumed by polling and image - expect a Pawlenty and these secret meeting and more polling gamesmanship.

I can't tell if its an improvement that he now sticks it to conservatives behind our backs instead of in our faces...
