An Update…

As you all know, I have not posted very much lately…!

I’ve moved onto other projects, spent enormous amounts of time organizing my house so that our lives run so much smoother, and last but definitely not least spending time with my family. When I look back to the 2 1/2 yrs that I was living and breathing Mitt Romney while I don’t regret it a bit because I felt that I was doing something bigger than myself, I feel a tinge of sadness in the fact that I didn’t spend as much time with my kids. I have to thank my husband Joel for “holding down the fort” during all of my many trips to try and help Governor Romney get elected President.

One thing that I would like to express to you with a great amount of emotion. During a week in which Tim Russert died (I just finished watching his funeral off of my DVR) I really feel a deep love for my family. Not that I ever didn’t love them before, but I really have felt an overpowering love for mine in the weeks and months since the campaign ended. I’m doing things in my life that I haven’t been the best at doing. I’m reading more to my children, I’m cuddling more, I’m listening to them more. I’m also getting to know my husband more, and falling in love again. I have to give some of the credit for this to Governor Romney. The things that I did during his campaign were the biggest confidence boosters than I’d felt in years. I gained a self-esteem that I needed greatly. Despite his “loss” in the election, I’ll never feel like a loser. I’ll forever feel like a winner. He was and is still the best candidate for President, it just wasn’t his time. Sometimes God plays tricks with us, but we just have to wait for things to happen in their individual seasons. I’d like to ask of you that you turn your hearts toward home as well a little more. We all have such busy lives that we don’t know what we’re missing sometimes. Life can be so short, live it to the fullest. The quote that I’ve been imparting to my children now more than ever is, “when you’re doing a job…make it your very best effort”.

I’m off to Miami as of tomorrow morning (I actually most likely won’t get much sleep before we have to leave) for two weeks, after that we’ll be making a few day trips. I want to promise you though that when I return, I will post more. I must say though, that the break has been absolutely cathartic. It’s so nice to not have to keep up with all this politics stuff all the time.

Until Mid-July,

Ann Marie

P.S. This website’s birthday is June 22nd, feel free to share all of your memories of the past 3 yrs.

    Ann Marie,
I am a latecomer to this site, my friend, Bobby, introduced me to this site. We both just
knew Gov. Romney was the best candidate. I hear you, your priorities are in the right place. Life is about balance. I very sincerely appreciate this site, and all that you stand for. You have learned alot and grown from your experiences. All of this makes you a better person. You did what you felt you had to do. Now, enjoy your family. God gives
us this day, live it well. When tomorrow comes, you get to live it even more fully. Thanks
for all that you have done, you are a great American, Mom, and wife. Until you post here,
be safe, laugh often, live well, and love much.
    Mainely yours, Paulee

Thank you for all that you did for Gov. Romney. It is my hope that Sen. McCain chooses Romney for VP. I feel strong that Romney will be President within the next 8 years. Let’s all keep the passion for Mitt and be ready to get back to work for him when he asks for help.

    Thank You Ann,

You are amazing. I agree that Sometimes God plays “tricks” with us. Of course I think it should more correctly be that God answers prayers in his own time. He leads this country still though we know it can drive us madder then the Mad Hatter sometimes.

You enjoy your vacation with your family.

    Ann,

You’ve done a wonderful job with this site. I too believe that Mitt Romney is a man for our time. He will get his due, but in the meantime I appreciate your call to focus on what we can do to strengthen America. That is to focus our time and energy on the next generation, our children, who will face unprecedented challenges in their lives ahead.

    Thank you.

Thank you for all you have done/are doing. It’s so easy to become involved when the man who can save our country is becoming known, and so depressing when he is rejected. And now our choice is?

I suspect while you are lamenting the time you took for your family, you may have overlooked the lesson you are teaching them. A crusade for good, is a worthwhile enterprise. The reason for becoming involved is the same reason you use for other examples of service. Not only because you should, but because you can. They will learn from that. And, so will we. Thank you so much.

    Until the next opportunity………….. - P
