A painful loss to the news/political/history/religious/baseball/family community.

Dear Ann Marie,
The death of Tim Russert is a great shock. He was a superior political journalist and interviewer and I will miss his forth-right style and smiling mug!
Thanks for putting this video montage together. I loved looking at them – especially the footage of Tim with his beloved Dad, Big Russ.
His untimely passing reminds us all that every breath we take on this earth is a gift.

Thanks for these kind words and quotes, such a loss for this country. Heartfelt prayers
to Tim’s family. Work hard, laugh often, keep your honor was spoken as a family motto.
Keep your honor, if only more could. He will be missed esp. the next 5 months, so many
depended on his ability to ask the tough questions.

So true, Paulee. The Russert family motto sums it up!
The election coverage won’t be the same without Tim’s pointed questions and unique analysis on the political twists and turns of the day.

I came across this touching interview by Matt Lauer with Luke Russert, Tim’s son. No matter what one’s political leanings may be, this video will make your throat tighten and your eyes water:
