Romney To The Rescue?

Hat Tip #2 to Doug & Darlene

There is an old expression that says: “Any publicity is good publicity”, but I beg to disagree. Pastor Huckabee’s disastrous attempt at ad lib humor reinforces the need for MH to stay completely scripted and leave the comedy to Mitt Romney, who is actually good at it.

That said, while Huckabee is hard at work destroying what little is left of his credibility and diligently attempting to embarrass the GOP, Mitt Romney and George Bush are raising boatloads of cash to help pull the Party’s bacon out of the fire and prevent an Obama administration.

Kudos to both Mitt Romney and President Bush for doing the spade work and filling the party’s coffers, while Huckabee runs around the country, laying eggs and wasting our time.

Monday, May 19, 2008 Romney to the Rescue? Posted by: Matt Lewis

John McCain’s campaign can’t compete with Barack Obama’s money, so he’s turning to the RNC. They, in turn, are looking to George W. Bush and Mitt Romney.

From today’s NYT:

… Republican officials said they were enlisting President Bush, a formidable fund-raiser who has raised more than $36 million this year for Republican candidates and committees, for three events on Mr. McCain’s behalf. They will appear together at a fund-raiser in Phoenix on May 27, and the next day the president will take part in a luncheon with Mitt Romney in Salt Lake City and then an exclusive dinner at Mr. Romney’s vacation home in Park City, Utah.

It is of interest that while Mike Huckabee continues to garner media exposure, Mitt Romney is becoming the “go-to-guy” when it comes to raising Republican money …

Yes, President George W Bush has always been an excellent fund- raiser. Gov. Mitt is superior at raising money for Senator McCain and the RNC. What can I say! I might just make a monetary contribution to the RNC and to Senator McCain’s campaign.
I am still hoping that the VP will be offered to Governor Mitt!

I’m enjoying this article and poll at HA http://hotair.com/archives/2008/05/19/hot-air-poll-who-would-you-rather-have-on-the-ticket-huckabee-or-lieberman/ It’s a poll asking if we had to vote between Lieberman or Huckabee for the VP, who would we choose? High percentage would vote for Lieberman over Huckabee including myself!! HEHEHEHE!! Makes me laugh!

Could it possibly be that they are starting to see the real Mitt and all of his great values? Are they wising up??? What gives? I hope all the right ones can see that Mitt is the man to go to for economic good sense.

As a side note, a group of 1500 astrologers got together and picked presidential picks and VP picks… they say the stars point favourable to our Mitt for the VP slot……. funny. It will be interesting to see if they know what they are talking about. I shall not stop praying though, I think that is a higher power to depend on than the stars… KKSM

Thanks, Evelio, I just voted for Mitt for VP and for the worst running mate for McCain - voted for Huckabee.

As every day brings more gloomy news for the economy, the country is looking for answers. Too bad it’s taken some direct hits in the pocket book for people to figure out we need somebody who ACTUALLY KNOWS something about economics to help steer the ol’ ship! Ironically, the deeper our economic woes, the better for Mitt. Whatever it takes for the nation to see what a great man Romney is, I’ll take it!

Mitt’s been on the move this morning . . . on Fox& Friends and on the Laura Ingraham radio show. Good to hear him again.

  7. Chris Says:

Good line from LI’s show” when asked about Huckabee, Mitt GRACIOUSLY (word huck needs to learn and use as a verb) said “I’m sure Gov. Huckabee would love to be McCains running mate”.

The happy tone told me things 1. It won’t be offered to Huckles the clown and 2. Huck is doing squato to help GOP causes.

  8. Tami Says:

Oh durn… missed both of those shows!!! Darn it!!

  9. Paulee & Mike Says:

Mitt was awesome on Morning Joe, great on Fox, but right on his game with Mika.
Sometimes I wonder about Sec. of State for Mitt. Of course, President is what we really very much saw as his best potential. Closer to that position, as VP. It would be a terrible waste not to have him in some capacity. Which will it be ? He definately is a spoke person for Mccain and Mccain’s intentions. He is the best!!!!!!
