Peter:

Those of us who recognize the real value of having Mitt Romney in the White House, preferably as President but since the RNC and new "moderate" so called leaders of the Republican Party have chosen to force John McCAin down our throats, at least as Vice President, only see him as a force for good for the country. If we really care - we MUST continue to push for his nomination as VP - the ONLY chance to win in November against the "pseudo" candidate, Obama. Daily contact with the RNC and McCain Campaign is necessary to get it through their thick skulls that they need to listen to us or McCain does not have a chance. Send back all requests for contributions to both sources - NO MITT, NO MONEY, NO MCCAIN.

Sounds like a lot of people are concerned that WMR propping up a McCain ticket would hurt his own future. And, more importantly, our country will need a "Turnaround" manager no matter which party wins this one. - P

McCain would be smart to pick Mitt Romney. I would feel like I had a ticket to vote for however I don't know if it would be the right thing for him politically. I can't believe McCain has timetables and I know that many dirty tricks went down in Fl. but I believe that timetable issue was one of the nails in Romney's coffin. Oh brother. I really do not like McCain.

I can't vote for McCain, he just 'flip-flopped' on the only thing that he really even ever stood for, other than pandering to the Dems and the Media, I hope Mitt isn't asked to be V.P. I hope it is Huck and they can all go down in a blaze and we can get the party back from these RINO's. The nerve of that guy.

Zeek, I totally agree, when I heard McCain say "2013" i JUMPED OUT OF MY SEAT!! That is why I will not vote for McCain, Mitt does not need to tie himself to that man, let someone else go down in infamy along with McCain. I am sure Huck would love to do it, but oops, he put his foot in his mouth yesterday. like Kerry did last summer. His pres aspirations are over.

I posted a comment on the NRCC blog (under "desperate for conservatism"). The Party needs Mitt. McCain, while strong on defense, is a major disappointment to me.

McCain is so depressing. I have yet to be able to understand how we even got into this position with him as the nominee.... It truly feels much like a bad nightmare some days....

I love Mitt and wish the best for him.... It is still hard for me to know what to wish for where this good man is concerned! KKSM

Governor Romney will be in Orlando May 30th campaigning for Tom Feeney - if anyone in the area did not get an invitation and wants to go - let me know - $250 contribution per attendee for Congressman Feeney. We would never miss the opportunity to see Governor Romney, express our gratitude and sincere hope that he will be the VP nominee.

America has suffered a great loss with him as President - our best hope is for VP and then President - he will always shine as a winner and a leader.

PLease Prove me wrong!...If there is an M&M ticket it will be like hooking up the USS Ronald Reagan to the Titanic. It might keep McCain from hitting every political, economic, social and diplomatic iceberg. But knowing McCain (and we do) He will lock himself into the counsel room alone, hit the same icebergs he has in the past and then sabotage the very boat that would keep him afloat (Mitt Romney and his conservative base).
In private the vice presdent needs to be tough, blunt and brilliant as he argues with the president about issues. As president is McCain able to handle that.
In public the Vice President needs to be supportive and defensive of the president. Is it wise to sacrifice Mitt Romney's future contirbution to America then for what he might prevent McCain from hitting now. We know how the media and others will villify Mitt as he supports a deeply flawed president.
Also dont you think republican congressman etc will have greater tendency to resist the directions of a foriegn captain at the helm (Democrat) rather than their own (Republican) who will make many of the same decisions anyway.
I am sure Mr. Romney would accept a position as Vice President out af a sense of duty and service, but wouldnt he be better in an advisory role. where he can influence a pesident with limited capacity, and where McCain would not be threatened. This would allow Mitt Romney to survive the titanic and then man th USS Ronald Reagan in the future.

It was always just theatrics. Did that line ever really get him votes? No, he won Florida by Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani siphoning off votes from Mitt Romney, and the final push at the end when Time and Newsweek put him on the cover the day before the primary and then Charlie Christ endorsed him. The timetables strategy never really worked in my estimation. It was all a way to divert attention from the fact that Mitt was the superior candidate. I will not be voting for McCain unless Mitt is on the ticket.

This is like putting salt in the wound. Can you believe Mccain publicly announces
a timetable after beating Romney up with the help of Crist, Lieberman, and Martinez
that cost Mitt Florida. Everyone with a brain knew Mitt did not give a timetable, however Mccain must be feeble minded if he can't remember the turmoil that caused.
On national tv we all witnessed Mitt correcting Mccain on this issue, pretty handily,
if I must say. Yessssss, for Mitt! This is really a suicide attempt on Mccain's part.
Nevermind, Huck stated at a Rifle conference today, someone shot Obama, something like that. He had to apologize, can you believe that?? Huck the entertainer with no class. He talks to much! Not to mention those comments give the less than tightly wrapped bad ideas. It always scares me when people plant those ideas. That's all we need is to have someone shoot Obama. This world is very different now. I don't think
you would ever hear Gov. Romney say either of those two comments!!

Please continue to return requests for contributions to the McCain Campaign as well as the RNC:

NO MITT, NO MONEY, NO McCAIN.

We also bend the ear of all telephone callers for the RNC or McCain Campaign with our support for Mitt Romney as the ONLY candidate who can strengthen this ticket - McCain on the war and Romney on the economy - an M&M ticket.

McCain is dishonest and desires the White House so badly that he doesn't care who he has to squash. What he did to Romney in Florida was despicable, but it was pure McCain.

My father working as a photographer's assistant once did a photo shoot with McCain and his family in the senator's home. His assessment of McCain afterwards? He didn't like him. He said he didn't treat his family very well.

It seems as if McCain is trying to dig his own grave with the conservatives. And how do you think this looks to all of Mitt Romney's supporters? It opens up those past wounds. Hopefully he will return Mitt's kindness and dedication to him and the party and put him on the ticket. But above all of that, McCain is now letting the enemy know what the game plan is. Bad, bad move!

By the way, this is kind of off the subject, but if you go to the "Judicial Watch" website and put in Huckabee's name on their search, you will find the write-up by them that they named Huckabee in the top 10 list of corrupt politicians for 2007. He is right up there with Obama, Clinton, Pelosi and Reid.
