Committed to Romney Posters Headed to Maine Republican Convention
April 28th, 2008 Posted in Governor Mitt Romney, Governor Romney, Maine, Mitt Romney, Presidential Race, Republican Party
Paulee&Amp;Mike of CommittedtoRomney fame and fortune are headed to the Maine Republican Convention on May 2. I have asked to be kept informed of “All Things Romney” at the convention. Paulee&Amp;Mike will be taking lots of pictures, so it should be a blast. The rest of us are soooo jealous.
Rumors about a possible VP berth for Governor Romney continue to abound, so it is good that this site has “boots on the ground” at the Convention and can give us the “lowdown on the showdown.”

I wish McCain would make his pick already, at least then we would know if we need to focus our efforts on 2008 or start gearing up for 2012.
btw, something that might be interesting to Romney fans - if McCain doesn’t choose Romney as Veep, he will be pitting history against itself when it comes time to choose our next nominee: http://theactblog.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/john-mccains-vp-pick-may-pit-history-against-itself/

I received 3 contribution requests today - 2 from McCain and 1 from RNC. I sent each back in their envelopes with this message only:
NO MITT, NO MONEY, NO McCAIN. I hope everyone will do the same and keep those emails and messages going to the campaign and the RNC. Wish I could be on the Maine trip. Hope we get a video of the speech.

Go the the GOP Nation blog and vote for Mitt - they have a new poll and right now Huckabee has the lead.

Paulee, can I go with you???? I am so jealous!!! But, I am so happy that someone of us can go and see Mitt and be a part of something very fun and cool. I cannot wait for the complete report and pix etc…
Seriously, I am happy that you can do this. Good for you!!!
Renna, I went over and voted. The Huckabee fans are out in force. I posted the address on the http://www.mittforvp.com site and hopefully a whole bunch of people will go over and vote for him.
Once the word gets out that it is up and running again, people wil go vote…

Yikes! I just went and voted at the GOP Nation blog and wow, Huckabee is way ahead of Mitt Romney!! Go vote Mitt Fans!! We gotta get him in first place!!
April 28th, 2008 at 10:53 pm
Renna I just voted for Mitt and he has 27% to Hucks 52%. Where are the Mitt fans?
April 28th, 2008 at 11:21 pm
I think you can vote more than once in that poll. Besides, huckie is on the TV 24/7 putting mitt down. When he’s not doing it, someone else is.
Then again, maybe Mitt and John made a deal for Mitt to lie low and do his thing and let all the rumors about the others swell, then be crushed.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
Oh yep, you are right. You can vote more than once. That is retarded LOL It doesn’t show true results that way.

one good poll deserves another. I voted! Here is the link: http://gopnation.com/wordpress/?page_id=357

It’s obvious the Huckbigot bots have hijacked the GOP Nation Poll.
April 29th, 2008 at 12:50 am
I’m not sure you can vote more than once or not because I voted again just to see and it said this: You have already voted,
Your last vote was not added to the results

Matt A., thanks for the link to an interesting article.
In the event McCain is elected as our next president, the pluses and minuses of who would be in a better position to be elected president in the NEXT election - a sitting vice president or a “second-placer” - will be a moot point if two key issues are not resolved: the war in Iraq and our faltering economy (incl. addiction to foreign oil). If, after four years of a McCain presidency, these two issues are not resolved, NO Republican will stand a chance to be our next president! IF Mitt Romney is McCain’s VP, he will be at the mercy of how effective McCain is or isn’t. No doubt, it would be RISKY BUSINESS for Romney.
But, Romney has proven he’s not afraid of taking risks and has produced some fantastic results in his lifetime! We’ll see what kind of a risk-taker McCain is…
I, too, added my vote for Mitt on the GOP Nation blog.

I’ll call our local office today and try to get the scoop. I try to find out about a video,
how close we can get to the Governor, if we can speak to him, etc. Thanks well wishers. Where there is a will there is a way!!!!!!!!! I promise, we will do our best
to bring the excitement to you all!!!!! Any other ideas, much welcomed.
I’ll go vote at GOPnation, last time you could only vote once. Huck’s people are fired
up, he’s been featured alot lately. Tell all to vote, we are on a mission!!!!!

There’s a difference between fanatics and crusaders. If you’re trying to outdo the Huckaholics in voting for a poll it’s probably a lost cause. They are localized enough so the message can be circulated within them. The Romney supporters are spread out and it would be more difficult to marshal them.
Let it go. The poll is as phony as Huckabee is. - P

Peter,
I agree that the poll is as phony as hUckabee is. Last time, Mitt won. Yes, they are fired up, but unlike Romney supporters, they must not have jobs, responsiblities, etc.
