I like how the 8’s turned into shady smiley faces. Is that a hint? 8 ) =
April 12th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
I sure hope Senator McCain is aware of this list
April 12th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Do you think McCain and his handlers would be so stupid as to ignore the increasing calls from conservatives to put Mitt on the ticket?
My gut feeling - yes.
Didn’t McCain say during his CPAC speech that he had a lot of ground to make up with conservatives? Has he done anything about that? Nope.
Too bad he’s more interested in spitting in the eye of conservatism than making hay of what his “good friends” on the left have been doing and saying during this race.
If he’s smart. he’ll ask Mitt. But never underestimate the stupidity of the GOP establishment . . . of which McCain is a leading member.
Since the Dems are tearing themselves apart, this race is McCain’s to lose . . . and he could lose it by being his usual arrogant, smug self.
He could take a page from Mitt’s humility, class, and graciousness. Let’s pray he does, for the good of our country.
April 12th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
Cool! Somebody show this list to Sen McCain!
FYI-According to the Daily Journal Online(Boston), on May 10 a fundraiser is being planned for Sen McCain in Houston, Texas. But, the day before Gov Mitt Romney will in my town, Houston to meet with his supporters. The Beach Boys will provide musical entertainment. I would like to attend… Take care everyone.
As usual, Yes Mitt VP 2008
April 12th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
“IF” McCain has had chosen Romney, I bet he won’t announce it until its a better time. Cause everyone is bickering over whether McCain and Romney hate each other over their campaign attacks over who was more “less liberal”, and “who said what, and when”. People who’d see McCain pick Romney will say the party forced them together, Instead, we see Romney and McCain in public seeming very buddy-buddy. If there is much more of this, if McCain pick Romney, some could conclude that while the Democrat P and VP were still viciously fighting it out, lying about the other, the Republican P and “VP” have been hanging out, and laughing and working together and saying flattering words. And after such a while, you’ll think they’d be talking about the VP, and if anyone thinks the McCain is a puppet, and is forced to pick McCain, true or false, the longer he waits, the more he can make it seem like *HE* made the choice. This is why I think its taking so long.
April 12th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
My theory is that the Huck supporters are going to ruin any chance of Mitt being on the ticket. McCain needs their vote more than their money, so he can’t put Mitt on the ticket. He also can’t put Huck on the ticket because he will lose everybody but the Christian Right. My guess will be a McCain/Rice ticket. Rice will satisfy the republicans who are looking for a little diversity and she won’t scare away any voters. She will be neutral, but also an established name, so she will be a good match for him. As much as I want a McCain/Romney ticket, it simply won’t happen. Still, we should all assume that the republicans are going down this year. People are changing their party to democrat by the droves. Mitt will be very well-positioned for 2012.
April 12th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
McCain has to see this! and let’s keep it going ourselves-go to CafePress.com-
from the home page, scroll down on the left till you get to Themes and McCain stuff begins, keep scrolling and you will see MCMITT -click on it-two different designs-one with words one with words and their faces- t-shirts, buttons, etc.
I told the McCain shop I would love to be able to send my money to them instead-
but not till their official McMitt stuff id ready!
On a serious note, if McCain has decided on Mitt, do you think he is being advised to wait to announce until the big polygamy cult-abuse story fades away?
He needs to announce Mitt ASAP-that is the only way his campaign will cause any excitement and bring any major money in.
April 12th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Mccain knows full well what he and others in his clan did to Governor Romney.
Mccain has been working well with Mitt, they have been belly laughing, complimentary
of one another, and both have expressed those feelings of dislike have no place in
the Presidential contest. That was competition during primaries, and is very bloody.
I sincerely feel they have mended the fences. I just hope enough that Mccain will do
the right thing and of course that’s to choose Mitt for vp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree though, it should be soon, whoever needs to strategy with him, get some excitement going, and be prepared for the dems in the fall. They have to prove we can
get this country back on the right track!!!!!!!!!
Mainely yours

Britt:
Thanks for the tip for the MvMitt shirts - I placed my order.
Leslie: Condi Rice is great but not a good choice for VP .McCain’s age DEMANDS that a well experienced person step into his shoes, if necessary - she is good at foreign policy but unknown in all other areas. She also is too much of a reminder of Bush - we need a BUSH BREAK. Mitt is the BEST - keep the calls and emails going to RNC and McCAIN Campaign - he needs the money and the support of Mitt.
NO MITT, NO MONEY, NO McCAIN
April 12th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
I just copied this post, and pasted it as a response/reply to one of McCain’s emails asking for donations. Everyone of us should do this.
April 12th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
And just to mix up you McCain and Mitt wardrobe, you could go out and buy “M&M*” shirts and tell people why.
April 12th, 2008 at 9:29 pm
Well, well, isn’t this a lively conversation? I have a question and this seems like a great place to ask it.
Does anyone know what Mr. Huckabee is up to these days politically? I would be interested in knowing if he is doing anything for McCain. We do keep hearing about Mitt doing things, i.e. speaking for him, going to fund raisers etc., is Huckabee doing anything? Just what is he doing these days?
Does anyone have any idea???
Thanks, KKSM
April 13th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Well I don’t think he’s interested in getting the VP, as we see his supporters campaigning, not for Huckabee for VP, just against Romney as VP. They’re reasons seem to have nothing to do with whether they prefer Huckabee, rather anyone but Romney, why seems apparent, it all sounded like religious reasons.
April 13th, 2008 at 12:47 am
I heard McCain on Hannity(radio) the other day talking about the qualities and skills that he will be looking for in a VP. He mentioned someone strong on the economy and healthcare! An experienced leader who is conservative. So I guess Mitt should at lest be on the short list! Everytime the RNC sends me a request for money I sit down and write a brief letter telling them that I won’t be sending any money until after McCain picks his VP. Because I consider that the first guage his commitment to the conservative side of this party. We must patiently and positively keep talking about how much we want Mitt.
April 13th, 2008 at 1:19 am
I think that is true. I read that web site where Murray commented on the petition… pathetic. In our local paper, they ran the story of Romney still running, only not for himself. One person wrote in and said that we needed to take the word of the people on the site for what it is and that they were not anti-Mormon. Well, another woman wrote in and said that she had copied every sheet down from that petition with all the comments before they scrubbed it! She said (if I recall correctly) that she had copied them all again and sent them to McCain with a note explaining the lies of that site and those people. I think it is funny and very interesting. I hope we don’t wear McCain out on us, just wear him down!
Sleep well all,
KKSM
If anyone else has any ideas about Huckabee, I would gladly entertain them…. !!! Ha!!!
April 13th, 2008 at 8:23 am
KKSM:
Goodmorning and it’s a beauty here in Maine today. I was on Conservative grapevine clicked onto Right Wing News read more, got to Mccain’s blog page, saw Huckerbee’s
name under posts, clicked there, up came Newsmax and an article stating that with Huck’s sense of humor on shows he appeared on, he had signed with Hollywood Creative arts. Article stated, blaming others, worries me attitude as usual, can’t get there from here, etc.etc. He was blaming religious leaders for not backing him and
stated they did not put faith into his run for presidency. He has a new web page coming, I think it stated April 15th. Way too much Mitt News, gotta compete, and whin
some more, I’m sorry I just don’t appreciate that man. I’m sure he’ll have plenty of
information there, we’ll see. That’s all I have. Take care
Mainely yours, Paulee

Thanks Paulee,
I just could not get to that yesterday, but so grateful you took the time to do it. He is interesting isn’t he??? What can I say more???? I shall get on there later today or tomorrow maybe (if I can sotmach it)!
Take Care and again thank you,

Based on McCain’s call to help former rival Rudy (and not others) raise money to eliminate primary debt, I believe Rudy will be McCain’s pick. I put down Rudy’s chances as 80%. He mets the criteria of the VP which McCain has laid out. Rudy is very vetted and he has already given Social conservatives a rationale to vote for him — he would appoint pro-life judges. And given that McCain will take public funding, Rudy might be the one who would help him compete in the blue states where he would be allocated money to spend.
April 13th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Nowandlater:
Have to wonder about that report - McCain cannot raise enough money for himself much less Rudy. He contacted Mitt to help fund raise weeks ago - even before the endorsement I am sure. He has pledged to raise 15 million dollars for the campaign. Also, check the voting figures - Mitt had almost as many votes as McCain before he left the race - Rudy was not a blip on the radar and mismanaged his campaign strategy BIG TIME. Social conservatives rejected Rudy - take a step back - collect the facts and then you will see that Mitt for VP is not only the BEST choice but the ONLY choice if McCain wants to win in November.
April 13th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Rudy has executive experience, WOT and economics cred. Rudy is very popular with indies and has strong appeal with the base on the WOT issue. Plus John likes him. Knowing John’s past behavior, I would be surprised if he didn’t pick Rudy.
April 13th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
Nowandlater:
I believe McCain has expressed that he will pick someone more conservative than him as his running mate. Whether or not he keeps to this statement, we will have to wait and see, but Rudy is clearly a LIBERAL Republican, therefore I do not think he will choose Rudy.
Furthermore, I do not think McCain/Rudy would be an effective ticket. McCain himself already has a strong appeal to independent voters. While McCain should and will take into consideration running mates who will help him win states he might otherwise loose (a reason many governor’s names have popped up as potential veeps), what he really needs is conservative support. Although it can be argued that many conservatives will “hold their nose and vote McCain” (especially in light of Obama’s “bitter” statement), they will not enthusiastically support him. More than anything else, John McCain needs someone who will bring in money and enthusiasm. Not only did Rudy’s campaign lack enthusiasm, but it will not bring in the conservatives. Social conservatives in particular (who are the most likely to oppose Rudy) happen to be very active supporters of their candidates: phone banking, donating money, etc.
I do, however, agree with your statement about “John’s past behavior”. Thus, although I think Rudy is an unlikely choice, I will not rule him out. Thanks for sharing that, though. I respect your opinion, although I may disagree.
April 13th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
One of the biggest statements I heard discussed was his extra Marital affair. People
did not like that he was running around on his wife, I doubt we have that situation
with Governor Romney. I think maybe Mccain might take him for attorney general, vp
can’t even imagine that. Rudy, I mean. Not one of those primary candidates had the success raising money that Mitt did. He is a businessman. You must know how to deligate and then check the checkers. Honestly, It’s going to be a shame if Mccain does’nt choose Gov. Romney. Just look, he’s so all American and when he opens his
mouth, you pinch yourself to be sure this isn’t a dream. You become hopeful that just
maybe we can get back on track and have pride, security, and a thriving America
once again. My friends, family and others had high hopes for Governor Romney
and we hold true to our convictions.
Mainely yours
p.s. KKSM Huck spoke of running in 2012, of course.
April 13th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
“Just look, he’s so all American and when he opens his

Paulee:
I know exactly what you mean. You almost wonder how anyone voted against him. Vice president or not vice president, as long as Willard Mitt Romney becomes our president someday I will be satisfied knowing the country is in good hands!
April 13th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
Yes, Jenny, but our Country’s needs are pretty great right now and proper alingment is a powerful thing. I would love nothing more than to see our man Mitt be properly aligned so that when 2012 rolls around, he is a shoe in (pretty much at least, remember this is what I would love to see!) I think many people understimate the power of Mitt Romney and many others recognize it and are shaking and quivering in fear. That is why some try so hard NOT to get him in the VP slot. Foolish men! I know there are some that feared him a great deal every time he said the Washington is broken and he wants to fix it!
We really need to work hard and not give up on trying to coax McCain into what we know is right for the country and it is NOT Huckabee, nor frankly is it Guiliani.
I think I am still bitter as many of us are at the treatment given to Mitt in the Primaries, it was a bitter pill to swallow watching someone so good be treated so disgustingly. Arg! It still makes my Scotch/Irish/German/English/Indian blood BOIL!!!!!
But if Mitt, the wronged and slandered, can be big enough to befriend McCain, I know I need to as well. It just chaps my hide!
KKSM
April 13th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
It will be Rudy. Especially if John has to take public money, he will need someone who is well known and will help him compete in blue states.
April 13th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
It won’t be Rudy - the base will flee from a liberal VP. Lets face it, John McCain’s VP is the heir apparent for ‘12 or ‘16, and that is the period where we could see h best chance to throw out Roe.
I think this comes down to Romney and Pawlenty.
April 13th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
I have to agree. I do NOT believe for one minute that it will be Guiliani. I think you are probably right about it being between Romney and Pawlenty. I cannot for the life of me make Pawlenty match up to Romney in experience though. He does have impressive conservative credentials I guess, but I cannot make him matchup otherwise.
Oh, but the guessing game is stimulating isn’t it????
April 13th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Okay, here I go again. Just watched Meet the Press. Tim Russet asked who should be
Mccain’s running mate????? First response was Mitt Romney. 1. He was a good person. 2. He understood and could speak well on the ecomomy. 3. He knew how to raise campaign money. The other names were Rice, Colin Powell, Tim Pawlenty, Portman, and one other I can’t remember. NO, NO NO, THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION OF HUCKERBEE. ISN’T THAT CURIOUS? I remember a conversation that when Mccain was down and out last summer, Pawlenty stood by his side. Mccain likes him, it appears. Now with all the requests put before the RNC, let’s hope Mccain realizes
Mitt is 61, probably a good age to be vp. and all the other strong reasons. Actually,
Mitt’s name came up three times as a very good choice. WE KNEW THAT!!!!!
SERIOUSLY, I DON”T KNOW IF I CAN TAKE ANOTHER DISAPPOINTMENT. SO WE HAVE
TO THINK POSITIVELY AND SAY LOTS OF PRAYERS. MAYBE WE’LL SEE WILLARD MITT
ROMNEY, PRESIDENT 2012.
Mainely yours, Paulee
April 13th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
Portman is reportedly planning a run for Gov. (I’m not sure I’m supposed to tell you that, so I won’t say where I got it from). Rice seems to have been a blip on the radar, and, in any case, McCain cannot tie himself to Bush anymore than he already has. Powell lacks executive experience and is as old as McCain.
Pawlenty or Romney, Sanford and Crist have outside chances.
April 13th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
Paulee,
Do you remember who the guest was on Meet the Press with Tim Russert, or was he just pontificating? It seems generally there is a guest, I don’t really know, I seldom watch him. I do watch if he as a guest on that I am interested in and I hear it enough in advance. I kind of think that he bullies people alot and I don’t like it…
Now, I say that and I am stumped at myself, I totally like the way Sean Hannity bullies people that are foolish and misdirected! Maybe, just maybe I am a bit of a hypocrit! Ya think? (sorry to be so personal!)
Anyway, I totally agree with you. I was absolutely out of my mind over the disappointment when Mitt had to gracefully bow out. I am trying so hard NOT to get my hopes up because it is just so hard to bear disappointment when I don’t get my way! I have to exercise faith and let God be in charge of my country to the extent that He can I guess, but it is very very hard. God Bless Mitt… (please?)
I hope you are all having a wonderful evening surrounded by loved ones…

April 14th, 2008 at 7:38 am
Goodmorning,
I don’t always watch Tim Russet, but I caught Mccain’s best possible and just had to hear what he’d be saying. As for guests, 2 dems, 2 republicans. Mary Mattelin and her
dem husband, two other gentlemen. I apologize, I’m not familar with either of them.
The republican gentleman was the one that was strong for Gov. Romney. Mary has
been for Mitt once she woke up and the others dropped by the wayside. Just an opinion, She like many others did not get on the Mitt bandwagon until, whoops,
where is Mitt, he’s suspended his campaign. Oh my, I’m watching Hillary downing
boiler makers and beer on Fox News, I can’t believe this. At three in the morning
she may not even wake up, she ‘ll be drunk!!!!!!!!???????????????
Maybe if we go to msnbc, we can find out who those two others were. I’ll try later.
They are credible and seemed to be respected, and again no mention of Huck at all!!!!!
Sean is a republican, and Russet is very liberal, at times he can be almost human.
How do you like me now???? I don’t mean to be so opionated, but this is straight
talk, ha, ha.Well, I’ll close for now. Have a wonderful Monday, Let’s stay positive
and let God’s will be done…..
Matt A: Thanks for the info. Crist would bother me alot, he’s the one along with Lieberman, Martinez that slandered Mitt in Florida at the Villages, about the Timetable
lie!!!!!!!!!!! What do you all think of the story, that Mccain was asked and considered
being John Kerry’s Vp., when he ran? Will that come back to bite him this fall?
These people have so much baggage, is insane. The best of the best??????????
What’s a person to do??????????
Gotta run, talk later. Mainely yours, Paulee
April 14th, 2008 at 11:37 pm
Hi guys. I have been monitoring the gopnation vpstakes comments and voting for the last couple of days. I hope you will all go there and vote for Mitt if you haven’t and comment about him. There are alot of people on there being pretty obnoxious about him. Kind of mean spirited about him, so if you have time, please go be supportive of him…. As it is, it is not pretty. Thanks to Michael Willett for being positive about him…. go Mitt….

April 15th, 2008 at 1:30 am
Lets all hope and Pray that Mitt will become the New VP!! Our country deserves the best, our country will not be getting it this time, but VP is pretty good considering how old McCain is. I would vote for McCain before voting for Clinton or Obama for sure. Wild horses couldn’t drag me to the voting booth to vote for either one of those Dems!!
Its true about the prophecy that Joseph Smith said concerning the constitution and it hanging by a thread.
April 15th, 2008 at 7:25 am
KKSM: HI ! It’s another beautiful morning.
I’ve been defending Gov. Romney a great deal at the gop nation site. It’s been pretty
nasty, I agree. I kinda wondered why I haven’t seen more of the names that appear here. I think we all need to go there and stay to the facts, no name calling, state the
positives, and if you make a negative fact statement, lets try to be Christian about
our remarks. If we don’t, we are as quilty as they are about slinging mud. Who am I
to tell anyone what to do, it’s just a request. I think we’ll accomplish more, perhaps.
IS THERE ANY OTHER SITES WE CAN GO TO VOTE???????SO YOU KNOW KKSM, IT”S PAULEE THAT”S TYPING OVER THERE. MY HUSBAND IS
MICHAEL, we do completely agree on Gov. Romney. I guess I have the passion, though. PEOPLE ARE MEAN SPIRITED AND WANT THEIR OWN WAY. How could he do so well’, be spoken of so highly, touted more than anyone else as vp, and not be qualified? Blows my mind!!!!!!!!Did you know Paulee&Mike was Micheal Willette???
I’ve gotta run, Have a wonderful day, talk later. Something I heard yesterday.

Ron, be sure to leave comments, and read some, they’ll make your blood boil!
HEY, JUST HEARD THAT GOV. ROMNEY WAS ON MORNING JOE SPEAKING OF MCCAIN”S
ECONOMIC SPEECH THAT HE WILL -PRESENT AT 10AM . DO WE READ ANY SIGNIFICANCE IN THIS????????MAYBE WE CAN GET THE CLIP ON MNSBCJOESCARBOROUGH LATER.I am impressed, maybe he’s consulting with him?????
mainely yours, Paulee
April 15th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
To Mitt supporters: Gov Mitt Romney was on CNN this morning. Did a good job, talking about the economy, getting Sen McCain elected and says that McCain has other candidates in mind for the VP. We can add comments. So far, there were 10 commments, mostly from very mean-spirited individuals. Take care.
April 15th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
I believe Romney would bring a lot of energy to McCain’s campaign but I think McCain is afraid that he will also bring baggage. I also think McCain holds grudges. I would be excited if McCain selected Romney as his VP. I think the bigots would really be fired up and who knows how it would play out. Huck supporters really hate Mormons. It might be the best thing for our country to have Mitt as the VP but it will be good for Mitt either way.
April 15th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Doria,
Are you able to give us a link to the comment page so that we could get on there? I just absolutely cannot find it. I have tried and tried but cannot locate it…. I am sure McCain is looking at lots of people.
Linda A: We all need to pray that he will make the right choice and get the guy in there who could help the constitution which is perhaps hanging by the proverbial thread.
Paulee, I did know that. I have seen Michael’s comments on there. He is very good. Someone (Mike or Mike?) needs to get back on there and answer the charge that Mitt ORDERED judges to perform gay marriages. those people are icky and really vitriolic on that site. It makes me sad to see how badly they hate him and that some of them adore Huck. Mitt is still ahead and more so now. Go Mitt.
April 15th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
I just heard that Governor Romney is going to be on Hannity tonight, a friend just called me .I’ll check it out, that would be nice. He is claiming he is only helping his
Republican friends, Mccain being priority. Mika and Joe thought Mitt should be Sec. of Treasurer or Economic adviser. What do we think??????? I wrote I still think I”d rather see him as V.P. He is such a wonderful communicater.
Ann: thanks for the olympic video’s, absolutely all American Mitt Romney.
Have a wonderful evening, all. Mainely yours, Paulee
April 16th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
Am I ever glad to see this site. The Romney site I’ve been checking has been totally quiet for many weeks.
I cannot see Rice or Giuliani as VP. Pawlenty may have conservative credentials but I’d wager to say 98% of America has never heard of him.
How Romney can even “swallow his pride” long enough to be so cozy with McCain is beyond me. But if this is truly preparation for an M & M ticket….I’ll just have to wait & see.
I will only support McCain if he chooses Romney. Then hope that McCain sticks to an original pledge to be a one term president, putting Romney in fine position for 2012. I do feel this is the only hope for our country.
April 17th, 2008 at 4:17 am
Welcome Al,
I too have been glad to find this site. It is really quite fun to chat with people that I have a bunch of beliefs in common with. Mitt is a great guy… stick aroudnd! KKSM
Which site have you been on?
April 17th, 2008 at 8:48 am
Oh my, watching Squawk box, Kay Hutchinson, Gov. of Texas, was just interviewed
and asked about Mitt Romney on Mccain’s list for vp. Guess what, totally supported Mitt.!!!!!!!!!
Said religion should not be an issue, watch how the man lives his life was her response. Also knows he built a very successful business on his own, and stated that.
She said, we don’t have enough private sector business people involved in Washington. Also said, the religion attack was totally unfair!!!!! Let’s see, knows he be great on the economy. ALL VERY EXCITING FOR US AND GOVERNOR ROMNEY!!!!!!
yESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, she also mentioned Gov. Crist, and Gov. Pawlenty, but was more complimentary
about OUR MITT!!!!!!!!
I DON’T KNOW IF WE’LL MAKE KKSM, PRAYERFULL, LOTS!!!!!!!!!!
I WONDER IF THAT INTERVIEW WOULD BE AVAILABLE, I WISH YOU ALL COULD SEE IT,
CNBC. MAINELY YOURS, HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY ALL. PAULEE
