Liberalism Is A Mental Disease
I was just reading an article about the billionaire hedge fund speculator, George Soros, who funds organizations like MOVEON.ORG and also gives big money to the “527″ organizations that act as campaign surrogates.
The article talked about the extremely flattering coverage he gets from the MSM, including mention of an article by the NYT entitled “The Face of a Prophet.” In a recent interview in the FINANCIAL TIMES he blamed the recent financial market chaos on, are you ready for this?……
RONALD REAGAN AND MARGARET THATCHER!!
As Rush Limbaugh likes to say, “Folks, you can’t make this stuff up.”
Um, lets do some quick math. Reagan left office in 1988, that would be 20 years ago, right? According to Mr. Soros, he is in some mysterious way still able to affect the market with his policies from two decades ago. Wow, that’s real power!

Let’s not be fooled about why we have a mortgage “crises”, or, more accurately, a mortgage correction. Because the “government” thought that lenders were discriminating in approving loans, they passed laws that forced banks to offer loose underwriting terms. As a result, many were approved for loans who should not have been. Again, government fixed a problem by regulating how businesses should perform. When will we ever learn? Here is a link to a reference about an article by STAN LIEBOWITZ.

Amen Ron! And why aren’t more people talking about this? Fault lies squarely at the feet of Clinton/Gore and the Democrats. Jimmy Carter and Barney Frank come to mind. Do you remember any of this DNC rhetoric?
“Under Democratic leadership, we have achieved an all-time high in home ownership, including among groups that have historically been left out. We are committed to continuing this progress, because home ownership is a foundation for building wealth and economic security for families, and it provides a vital anchor enabling neighborhoods to thrive.”
Now Democrats want to allow U.S. Bankruptcy courts to restructure the actual terms of loans, further monkeying in a process of which they have no business.
We didn’t start the fire! Democrats took the first Community Reinvestment Act snowball and carelessly tossed it down the slippery slope.

Plus Regan is dead and has been for a few years now (last time I checked!) Mrs. Thatcher is halfway to taking a dirt nap herself. Soro’s can blame anyone he wants, as facts ofte elude this old geezer with too much cash, and not enough sense.
