Brief article at the LATIMES.COM commenting about MR laying the groundwork for 2012 by stumping for the Party. This is exactly what I hoped Mitt would do ever since the decision to withdraw from the 2008 race was made.

The buzz these days in the Republican vice presidential sweepstakes may surround Condoleezza Rice, but Mitt Romney is doing the type of grit work that will keep his name in the mix — as well as potentially pay long-term political dividends for himself.

Romney is speaking at an event sponsored by local Republicans — the folks the McCain campaign need to get fully on board before launching an all-out fight in a battleground state such as Pennsylvania. Romney’s willingness to play the good soldier in communing with the GOP base can’t hurt his veep prospects.

Romney is a very intelligent person. He is also a very good person. What he is doing is not based much on getting attention, it is based more on doing what is ‘best for the party and the country’. That is the way he is; it is the way he was brought up, the way he thinks; it is also what he is taught in his Faith.

Mitt Romney is politically savvy and one class act just like he has always been. He’s working to unite the party just like he said he was going to do. Isn’t that something? An honest politician with character who walks the talk. Go for it Mitt!!!!!

Why can’t everyone see the goodness in Mr. Romney? Because they do not have great powers of discernment, that is why. Mitt is a wonderful man. All America has to do is ask and we could have one of the greatest blessings ever. He is so classy just to do this speaking assignment for McCain. He has certainly demonstrated not only a willingness, but an ability to forgive, forget and move it along. What a great guy. So many could learn from him. I hope Mr. McCain does and I hope he figures all the right stuff out….. Go Mitt… keep up being light and example! KKSM

Anyone else catch Mitt on Paul Harvey? I just listened to him online - it was really good to hear him again!

  5. KKSM Says:

I listened to both of them today, “page one and page two” as he called them. I did think he was impressive. I thought he was clear and concise. Look over at the “Romney to fill in for Paul Harvey” thread and see what they say over there… KKSM
