I would like to add a note to my above comments. There is an opening at Obama's Church for a minister, and Reverend Huckabee needs a job.

When McCain asks Mitt to run with him on the ticket as The Republican VP, I'm sure there want be any acting lessons required for Mc & Mitt to cement this relationship.

I keep thinking back to all of the problems caused by Huckabee, both attacking Mitt's religion and double-teaming with others to side-track Mitt's Campaign, and then after Mitt dropped out, Huckabee attacking Mitt for not being sincere when he threw his support to McCain.

I wonder if Huck really thought he had a chance to get the vp nomination. Dream on Huckabee.

I agree Frozone; they should have should cut the delegates in half, like you mentioned.

Paulee&Mike:

Yep, that is why I've been saying Romney will be the VP!

Who came in second with most votes to Mccain? Who came in second with the most delegates? Who looked most presidential? Who debated best, and won last two
debates according to the dial panel on Fox News? Who can bring morality, family
values, integrity without strings attached? NO LOBBIEST TO OWE!!!!!!!
Who doesn't need this position because he's already been a self-made success? We
could go on and on. Now that Gov. Romney has stated he would be honored to accept
V.P. We should be so lucky!!!! I truly feel he does love this country and wants to
share his expertise to better our wonderful country. We need him!!!!!!!!!
M&M would be a wonderful combination!!!!!!!
Mainely yours

Steve,

I still maintain the foolishness resides squarely with the DNC for deciding that Florida's and Michigan's votes don't count at all (they make the rules, after all, even if Hillary and Barack want to change/break them). At least the RNC was smart enough to just cut in half the delegations. Not so the DNC. All or nothing. That's not practical, but neither practicality nor pragmatism are strong suits for the "other" party, eh?

Oh Gerald Ford, wow there is some memories, well actually not. Sad to say but I remember Ford as the President that was always falling down. Satuday Night Live loved it : ) I really pray McCain does the right thing and chooses Romney! We need Romney ! I'm an ultra conservative and I refuse to see our Nation fall into the hands of those with personal agendas, and lack of integrity or morals. Mitt is the real deal. So Mccain, set aside your own feelings and do what is best for the Country.!!! Thank you.

Frozone:

The Florida Democrat 'Group' decided to move up the primary thus in turn, having the DNC to strip Florida of it's Democratic delegates. Florida knew this and it was ruled this was going to happen. Now Obama and Hillary want to change the rules halfway in - completely wrong. Too bad, none of you get Michigan/Florida delegates, keep on going.

Although you do have a point. With all the recent controversy with Obama's pastor to Caroline F., many Democrats and Independents will follow in suit with Republicans and hither to McCain.

Amanda/Bruce:

Yep, McCain with foreign policy and Romney with economic ideals!

Peter:

Any candidate usually has blind followers; some more than others. And unfortunely, they are a large part of voters. Though I wouldn't change it. Once you start thinking of just a certain number of people to vote for somebody, you're getting into Plato's 'society'.

As a governor, I'll give Huckabee a 6/10 - kind of reminds me of a Gerald Ford; took over after Nixon and didn't do a damn thing.

By 2012, everybody will know who Huckabee is and will be turned off, believe me. There is one exception though, the Bible - Belt wants a Good Ol' Boy.

If you read the comments at the website where the article is posted you can get a better feeling of what the Huckabee supporters have been exposed to. We have had a more or less straight forward campaign by Mitt on the issues. Apparently the Huckabee people have been fed mis-information and character assignations.

That's a shame because those are what they will take with them as their candidate slides back down into the gutter (my own assignation attempt) until the next time he emerges for 2012, I expect. Hope his supporters are better informed by then. - P

Thanks to the DNC, we may add Florida to that list. In a mindblowing stroke of foolishness, the DNC didn't and won't count the Floridian votes (disenfranchized again), and that will swing them and the Indies over to McCain.

Vic,

I think you are right for the following reasons. Mitt can heal everything that ails McCains Campaign.

Mitt solves all of the following: McCains age, his liberalism, his lack of funds, not having a clue about the economy or economics, and the fact that Conservatives such as the ones on this site and nationally knew that we had missed out on a Great Nominee and President in Mitt Romney. If Mitt is chosen as McCain's VP, he will have an excellent chance to be President sooner than later.
