I want to add that Huckabee is 52-53 yrs old, and he looks so much older. I know that this is because he is very mean-spiried. His deep dislike for Mormons, but especially Mitt Romney personallly has taken a toll on his him. Last night was Hickabees chance to bow out with honor and character. He missed his opportunity.

Thank you Chauncy for reminding us that the path to any great success is riddled with dozens of failures. The true winners pick themselves up and march on. Many of us don't ever learn this simple lesson and give up at the first sign of failure. Romney, however, acknowledges and understands this principle well (not everything Bain touched worked out, but the ones that did eclipsed the failures).

So I'll leave you with this: if you shy away from the biggest battles, you deny yourself the biggest victories.

There is never any guarantee of victory, but you don't know the difference until you try, and Governor Romney is certainly free to try again. We've all learned a thing or two about this process, and I encourage all of you that were elected as precinct or state delegates to continue on, even though your support of McCain is tepid, so we can all learn how the process works for the next time...

Romney is the human epitome of grace. When Mitt dropped out of the race, he did so with character and honor. He did not bash or dig any of his opponents, from either side. In fact, the day after, he endorsed McCain, who jabbed and dug at him incessantly.

Huckabee is the human epitome of disgrace. Not only to himself and his Country, but to God. We should all pray for him that his heart can be softened. I believe that this primary election has cankered his soul. "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted" - Matthew 23:12

Do these two men remind you of someone? Does Peter and Judas sound familiar?

I did not watch his talk. Being Mormon( The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints) it is very hard sometimes, the incessant ridicule. That part has hurt me personally for Romney because I know he is a man of honor and truth. Huckabee is just making himself look so disgusting, so foolish. But the difference in Romney and Huckabee is I would guess that Romney has prayed for Huckabee, and there in lies all the difference. You cannot fake integrity, force it. You either have or you don't! Huckabee, sad to say, does not have it. To not bow out gracefully at the end, how very, very sad. He just makes men like Romney , shine even brighter......... my Dad was a man of honor......rip

Good riddance to the "Huckabigot" - shame on him. He will have to face his master and explain his actions one day. He is an embarassment to this country.

I don't think he's jealous of Mitt. He's way too self-centered for that. He's using Mitt and prejudice against Mormonism as his platform. Pretty sick actually.

Huck is just like most of the Baptist preachers I know here in the South. It's their mission to destroy Mormonism. After all, if the Mormons take over (with no paid clergy), the Baptist preachers will all be out of jobs. Here in Dallas they have monthly meetings with their congregations to teach them that Mormons are of the devil. They don't do this for any other religion - only Mormons. Huck just couldn't stand that a Mormon might have had more delegate votes than him - such a disgrace. In addition, he's jealous of Mitt's money. But I still was surprised that on his last speech he STILL had to dig Romney.

Phil,
I think he keeps making jabs at Romney because he will be back in 2012, and he is already creating his theme as the anti-Mitt.

He just could not resist taking another shot at Romney even when he's dropping out of the race. I don't understand what Huckabee's problem is with Romney that he has to Continually take jabs at him even when Mitt has been gone from the race for almost a month now!
