Apologies
February 15th, 2008 Posted in Ann Marie Curling, Apologies, This Site
I need to apologize to all the visitors here.
Earlier I posted a not so nice message about my feelings for Gov. Mike Huckabee. While I do not agree with his politics, or much else. I was childish in how I handled myself. I let my emotions get the better of me, and that was just not right. I plan to keep better control of my “tongue” in the future, and hope that you’ll accept my apology for my actions.
This site is much above my actions, and I plan to restore it’s image through careful thought in the future before I post something that might inflame!
Once again please accept my sincere apologies.

That’s understood Ann.. I understand how the fire within can burst through the surface over politics of any type.. You’re passionate about the truth!

I thought your restraint was admirable. If we get too polite we stop being able to communicate. Go Ann Marie. Go Mitt. - P

It’s nice that you are trying to make peace. But seriously, why apologize for the truth? Huckleberry is the one who should be apologizing for what he is — which is precisely what was said about him earlier.

Screw that. You’re right, he is an ass.

Ann, we SO appreciate you and your efforts. We all need to blow off steam at times and I think you’ll find many of us agree with your feelings. Thanks for all you do!

Ann,
Please check the 2nd definition for ass. You were right in your description of Huckabee and there is no need to apologize. His actions and words reveal what is at his core.
Dictionary: ass1 (ăs)
n., pl. ass·es (ăs’ĭz).
1. Any of several hoofed mammals of the genus Equus, resembling and closely related to the horses but having a smaller build and longer ears, and including the domesticated donkey.
2. A vain, self-important, silly, or aggressively stupid person.
[Middle English asse, from Old English assa, perhaps of Celtic origin, ultimately from Latin asinus.]

No need to apologize Ann, we all feel the same way. This guy is a total clown, and yet nobody in the media is calling him on it. He is being so divisive right now, selfish, petty and why? So he can have a talk show or whatever when this whole thing is over? Pass the collection plate, please.

Well, I appreciate the real class and character that you’re showing with this post.
Everyone loses his/her head now and then, the question is what we do about it afterward. I think that there is far too much name-calling in politics, and not enough people regret it after the fact.
I would argue that this is to your credit.

Thank you Ann for calling an ass an ass.
Mike Huckabee has the same ability to BS some people the way Bill Clinton could, but the intelligent people know that thats what it is BS!!!
Mike Huckabee is truly Mean and Nasty.

I listened to Huckabee’s response to Romney’s endorsement of McCain. He makes himself look and sound like such a baby. Romney has shown nothing but class and professionalism during the entire campaign. I didn’t think my opinion of Huckabee could be any lower, but after his response, sure enough, now I think even less of him. Calling him an a$$ shows restraint.

After a good night’s sleep, I’d probably be apologizing as well (but I do have to admit that your passionate email gave me smile).

Oh, and I did agree with your sentiments.

I (and everybody else) are nobodies. You don’t have to apologize to us; I dislike Huckabee as much as you Ann. But, I think we can further our candidate’s great reputation by showing the weakness in Huckabee’s record and show him for what he really is.
You are wonderful Ann and do so much for this website, keep on keeping on!

No need to apologize Ann, you call it like you see it! Actually your words were tame compared to what I think of him. This man claims to be a man of God, but acts like a dirty politician with absolutely NO class or consideration for the people or for McCain. He’s two faced and totally delusional and a pain in my butt! There is no comparison to him and our man, Mitt!

Dear Ann
What did you say about Huckabee? I am sure nothing short of calling him a jerk is fitting. I appreciate what you are trying to do. You show more class because you are willing to apologize after a rant.
Keep up the good work on this site.

Your apology shows a great deal of character. As for Mitt Romney, he should have stayed in the presidential race to the very end (even with the overwhelming number of delegates in John McCain’s favor). Because of Romney’s withdrawal from the race, I had to keep myself from labeling the man as “Quit Romney.”
