I think he should go down to New Orleans and clean up that disaster. Orchestrate a private sector economic revitalization, and help resurrect some of the languishing neighborhoods by organizing a national volunteer effort. This would be a great way to bring business, political and volunteer organizations together to really make a difference where it is desperately needed.

Think about it, we are starting from scratch down there. This is an opportunity to erase the generational welfare state and stand up a model community based on the three stools of conservatism, and finally break the cycle of dependency on big government.

It will also be some substantive and meaningful to point to when he runs again.

In the mean time, what should Mitt do with his career, political or otherwise to prepare and position himself for 2012? If you were Mitt, what would you do? So many possibilities, but here are some of my favorites:
1. Write an award winning book about the future of conservatism in America- A Guidebook for Every American. Be a guest on all the talk shows.
2. Go back to Michigan, and revive the entire auto industry. Successfully market the first hydrogen car and make at least 35 million dollars off it.
3. Get together with Tancredo, negotiate with the private sector to actually build THE WALL, without raising taxes, and do it before he takes office in 2012.
4. Beat Ted Kennedy.
5. Win a Nobel Prize for an award winning documentary with one of the following titles: Why Stem Cell Research is Obsolete, The Truth about “Global Warming”, 101 Ways to Defeat Islamic Jihad, What Washington Doesn’t Know: Economics , Smackdown: Taking on Activist Judges

I really miss Mitt, too! And I love that this blog is being kept up. I will check it periodically for all-wonderful-things Romney! I hope and pray that he will run again for us, for our country, in 2012. We’ll need him more than ever by then and I think with our help, he can do it!!! With his record of outstanding selflessness, service, and love for our country, I won’t be surprised if he steps up to the plate for us all and for conservatism once again. I believe Mitt can be our president. I’m certain that one day I will be able to call him PREZ! I pray for his and his family’s health and happiness. God must have a different plan for our man right now, but I believe we will call him President in 4 years!!!!!

I heard Jeb Bush was mad at Mitt for accepting the Tancrey endorsement because Tancrey was opposed to any amnesty (Yes!) and that opposed the Bush family who wanted amnesty.

I haven’t yet given up on Mitt having an influence in the convention, especially if Huckabee continues to get the Anyone-but-McCain vote as well as Romney’s votes. The convention could be interesting!

Disappointed Jeb did not feel like he could endorse Romney during the Florida primary and now he endorses McCain. What gives? It seems like the establishment did not like the outsider idea. Any thoughts?

Dear Committed to Romney,

Thank you for keeping this site up. Every thing that Mitt does, please keep us informed. I will return here periodically to know what is happening with our guy. I will be here to see what is happening with the conservative movement.

The campaign slogan that Mitt Romney started with, Change begins with US is true. We need to be the change we want to see in America. Do things within your communities and states. Red State or Blue State, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you show that conservatism is for everybody and that everyone benifits. Yet if we don’t grow bigger as a party lets strive to work for quality among ourselves.

Obviously Mitt is better prepared than most who have ever offered themselves to be our president. He also has had more obstacles to overcome than most because he challenges so many of the problems that affect our culture and our nation.

For him to run in 2012 he will have to prepare by overcoming attitudes and sell himself during the next four years. That’s a long time. Mitt doesn’t need this. We do. If he continues it will be for the same reason that he offered himself this time. Service.

Much of the fervor that Mitt created has already ebbed and it’s only been a week. He is not a headline news item now. Much of the support will wain. The excitement can e rekindled because he strikes at the spirit of our country and he is the only person in the political arena that is not a politician. He has to meet them in their arena, which means he must defeat them acting as a politician in order to have an opportunity to redefine how the system works.

His challenge is to be willing to dedicate himself to defining himself during the next four years and to keep the supporters going. Our job is to help him and focus on the goal which is a long way off in our instant gratification culture.

The next four years could be difficult. The likely winners of the current process will be specifically attacking the people Mitt will need if there is to be a next time. Hang in there. It will be a bumpy ride. You are and will be needed. Don’t give up. This is for us, our children, and for those who have been deluded into thinking that we are the enemy.

Be safe. Be patient. Be there when you are needed. Thank you and God save us all. Go Mitt 2012. - P
