Even after suspending his campaign right in front of their eyes, they STILL voted for Mitt! We should, too, at every opportunity. Go Mitt 2008/2012!!

Although it’s a long, long shot, the remote possibility of either a McCain meltdown or the release of a block-buster story causes me to beat the drums for the “write-in” strategy.

Logic seems to say that the release of any scandal stories won’t happen until late in the general election campaign. The MSM have done their level best to prop McCain up, so as to knock Romney down. It is in their best interest to sit on the story until the last moment, then spring it when the McCain campaign doesn’t have time to refute it, or more accurately, to spin it.

If true conservatives hold on to their convictions and vote accordingly, we at least have a chance to influence, if not this year’s final outcome, then in 2012. On the other hand, if we have already cast our votes for someone other than Romney, we have thrown away any influence that we might have.

So, it is at least theoretically possible that McCain and Huckabee battle each other all the way to the convention, each drawing blood, siphoning off delegates and burning through cash that they do not have. Keep in mind that McCain has pledged his donor lists as collateral to the bank that loaned him the money to continue his campaign and that he had to take out an insurance policy pledged to the bank as well. If some scandal makes it’s way into the headlines, then the party might turn to Romney as it’s last best hope to stave off a Hillary/Obama presidency.

In closing, I think that the write-in strategy makes sense at several levels, keeps some long shot options open and prevents full spectrum conservatives from doing anything that might back fire on the Republican party and set in motion 4-8 years of liberal Democrat rule.

Personally, I just can’t vote for someone whom a) I don’t trust and b) doesn’t share my core values. So, I won’t have a candidate in November. It’s write-in Mitt or stay home, and I won’t stay home.

To Mitt Romney supporter.

There is still a push to vote for Mitt Romney, even thought he has “suspended campaigning”.

The media is now turning on McCain and as this happens folks will turn in droves to vote Romney. There can be some problems however. In time the primaries will start to remove his name and some electronic forms of balloting doesn’t provide write-ins. Thus you may have to go absent ballots!

So! get an absentee ballot and vote Romney! If to late, go on down and vote or write-in in some manner.

We need to sent this email out virally to every one we may know in states with primaries coming up in the next week or two.
