The new girl. . .
My name is Amanda Earnest, and I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the ranks
of “CoMITTed” supporters on this incredible and most-informative blog! It will be my pleasure to, hopefully, represent other young “generation Y-ers” across America from now through Mitt’s landslide WIN in November!
A bit about me: I’ve been married to my hubby, Mark, for over five years now, and we have two beautiful daughters–3 and 10 months. I am very proud to be a stay-at-home wife to Mark and mother to my children; my family is truly my greatest joy. I have a bachelor’s degree in human development. I also have a baby blanket business from home on the side. We are currently living in Southern California and loving every second of it! Life is good.
As a young mother who has really had to step back and look at the world my girls will be growing up in, I have become increasingly more aware of political issues, and how they affect my life and the lives of my husband and children. I was worried about where this country was going–about where the republican party is going. With Mitt Romney in the race for president, however, I’VE REGAINED ALL HOPE! I feel my family and I are
truly being represented by this man, by his morals and values, and by his conservative beliefs and principles.
I practically leap for joy when I think of Mitt Romney taking office in 2008. Dignity, honor, and conservatism will be restored! Mitt is my man for 2008, and he is the ONLY man who will save our party and most of all, our country.
I love volunteering my time and energy by, now, contributing to this wonderful blog, by calling to get out the vote from home while my baby’s napping, by putting stickers on my car and signs in my yard, and by petitioning my friends and neighbors to get out and support this incredible man. It is an honor for me to participate in this phenomenal grassroots effort to put Mitt Romney into office, and I am ALL IN, ALL THE WAY to the white house!!! Welcome. I’m glad to have found this blog too. Look forward to your posts. Since you’re young and interested in politics? May I suggest a great read? It’s a very short book, and is more like a pamphlet: “The Proper Role of Government” by Ezra Taft Benson.
This great man was a man of faith, but served many years in the government, and was universally recognized as one of the great defenders of Liberty, a man of great morals and great spirituality, and one of America’s greatest patriots of all time. He abhorred all forms of tyranny, especially that brought onto us by our very own government.
His book will teach you with great power what government should and should not be doing, and most importantly, why. It’s all basic — easy to understand. This book may very well be a spiritual adventure for you, if you’re ready as a student. And will prepare you for “An Enemy Hath Done This”, by the same author (and which has as one of its chapters “The Proper Role of Government”, so you might as well get the latter book.
The principles outlined will enable you to judge whether a law, bill, or policy is correct and moral or not. It’s invaluable and should be read by every American boy and girl.

I just looked on Amazon, and “An Enemy Hath Done This,” all used copies are going for over $45.00. That tells you the value of this book, which is out of print now. It’s in demand. It inspires.
However, the little book, “The Proper Role of Government”, is available for $8.95 here at this link. There’s only one left. I’d snatch it up.
