In the meantime, great news coming from battleground California. According to Reuters/CSPAN/Zogby, Gov. Romney is leading California over “Open Borders” McCain 37% to 34%. Below are a couple of quotes from the article.
~~John Cronin~~
If the swing towards Romney in California continues, he will emerge from Tuesday’s contest in a solid second place with a new narrative and a renewed debate about the race –can Romney surpass McCain in Ohio and Texas in March? The rapidly fading Huck would simply disappear, as he is doing in many places where the obvious has already registered: A vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain.
As the Arizona numbers underscore, McCain would not even bring a marginally united party with him. Given his animosity towards Romney, McCain wouldn’t add Romney to the ticket ,and the die-hard opponents of McCain will spend the next nine months hammering on how Huckabee blocked the consolidation of the conservative vote thus allowing the Reagan coalition to be eclipsed. Many would get over it and pull the lever for McCain, but how many would work for him or contribute to his coffers? And how many irreconcilables does it take to doom the campaign from the start –5%? 10% Not many, especially when it comes to the purple states of Colorado and Ohio.

Its a sad possibility that if it comes down to McCain vs. Hillary, the campaign could be a question of whether there are more Republican irreconcilables or Democrat irreconcilables. It’ll serve both parties right for selecting Washington insiders at a time when we need reform and a fresh results-oriented approach to many of this nation’s domestic issues.

When asked to pick at team for the superbowl this morning, John McCain said, “someone would have to explain to me how anyone can beat the Patriots.” Well, I guess the NY Giants just made it perfectly clear how to do that. Now, Mitt Romney will make it perfectly clear how the christened front runner can be brought down. Let’s do it.

when asked about the economy all McCain can say is he is endorsed by Jack Kemp and several others. I am tired of hearing this broken record. McCain is a lacking when it comes to smarts. He has a big ego and a hot temper, a formula for disater. Well said kathleen, Mitt will show John boy what a real comeback looks like.
Go mitt!!

I just watched fox news, sunday evening, maybe it was a re broadcast but it sounded like Romney didn’t have a chance. I hear from the SLC office that Colo. will be Romney. I would love it if Cal. went to Romney. Arizona would be wonderful. People need to realize what is going and recognize Romney is like Reagan. We can keep the conservative voice alive if we vote for Romney. I can’t stand John Kasich. Tonight they said they were getting 100’s of emails that people will not vote for McCain.

Another listing at http://www.pollster.com to the California charts now shows 38% tie for Mitt and McCain.

Colorado is a caucus state, and we have been organizing like crazy. I have been coordinating 13 precincts in the Denver metro area, and our people are going crazy. I have a really good feeling that Colorado will be a solid Romney win.

Latest Zogby has Mitt with an 8 point lead in California.
Wouldn’t it be something if Mitt won more delegates from California than McCain wins from New York and California combined?

…and don’t forget Minnesota!!! At the ralley on 2/1, if we would’ve had a full page add like the others, “President Romney’s” supporters would have also filled the Target center! As it was, the turnout was terrific. There are more Minnesota conservatives than the Dems (including Lib McCain) think! Go Mitt!
