I have to say that I am grateful for organizations that expose John McCain’s record. However, I believe that the media is interpreting the dissatisfaction with McCain as being a conservative reluctance to accept liberal stances. I believe it is more than that. It is a common sense rejection of a man who is dishonest, ingenuous, and lacking in integrity. It is revulsion at the smirks, ill temper, condescension, and mental instability of a man who somehow finds himself thrust into the presidential limelight through no earned merit but rather by the quirks of a political field of too many candidates. Those endorsing him are doing so, not because he is the best candidate, but because he is perceived to be “winning”. If they could only see how stupid they look. The reality is that the country may be passing up a chance to elect a man of unusual intellectual ability and integrity. The country and the good old chaps of the Republican Party are actually losing.
