A Woman? Sure! — A Black Man? Sure! — A Mormon? H*** No!

Flag Waving

Some pictures are worth more than a thousand words!

Is it not true that, as Americans, just about every person alive who can vote would not hesitate one second (so they say) to vote for a black man or a woman for President? That this country has progressed over the decades to the point where racial bigotry and gender discrimination are considered relics of the past? We know that both forms of bigotry still exist, but to a much smaller degree than in years past. And yet, religious intolerance, one of the great evils that drove people to found this nation, is still the most conspicuous, insidious, and unspeakable forms of bigotry that pervades this nation!

If you don’t believe me, get a copy of ARTICLE VI — The Movie and tell me I am wrong.

There are still millions in this great nation who are religious bigots beyond comprehension — sorry to say.

  1. Dr. Max Chartrand Says:

The Democrats have no well reasoned answers to the economic turmoil we are now experiencing, but continue to push that which brought us into this mess in the first palce—they will save anything for votes of those that think they deserve the fruits of another’s labor. The Republicans–Romney excepted–have resorted largely to saying what conservatives and independents want to hear, although their promises clash with their records. The media, even the best of them, and some of the most highly respected conservatives–my good friend Jack Kemp included–have bought into McCain’s deathbed repentance, or rather his last minute conversion to the principles of free enterprise. We know that without a conservative guiding force that McCain, once elected, will soon revert to the bullying hand of the Democratic leadership. Now, I’ve advocated that either Thompson or McCain would make good VPs to a President Romney. Certainly, it appears that either combination would compete well against against Herr Hillary whose claws and teeth have finally been bared against Obama. I urge all of us to get passionate about the candidacy of Mitt Romney. He is the one candidate that can turnaround the failing US economy and save the fast-sinking Dollar on world markets. He is beholden to none of the special interests except that of freedom and the Constitution of the United States. Without a doubt, Mitt Romney is America’s best hope to reclaim its greatnessd at this critical time in history. — Dr. Max Chartrand

The media is still using old data to prop up McCain’s position in the polls. Any new polls yet?

I am going to be working at the phone banks in Sandy Ut for the next 4 days. I sure hope his numbers begin to soar.

Florida could be big for Romney and mean so much to Americans. Mitt Romney has special skills that could help our failing economy.

The media is promoting McCain and giving him positive exposure. They are not exposing that McCain has changed his rhetoric of late. He now supports Republican ideas to get the economy on track. His record reflects someone who has continually stab his party in the back and voted with democrats. A vote for McCain is a vote for the democratic party and the liberal media.

Mitt Romney will find new and better ways to do things. We can trust him because he has a record to prove that he can solve big problems.

America would be so blessed to have such a President. Vote Mitt Romney!

To Dr. Max and all other posters here. Please go to http://www.ultimitt.org and help spread the word about Mitt and his strengths through the Grassroots forum. Right now we need eloquent people to help respond to criticisms in the media. There are many articles highlighted there with links to comments sections where we who support the Governor can make a difference.
This site and Ultimitt are must read sites for Mitt supporters!

Tray, I am not sure which polls you want, be it the national one or ones for the next contesting states. One thing you need to keep in mind with those polls is that they are before Fred’s withdrawing. I will go ahead and give you some of most recent numbers for top three:

National Daily (yesterday, from Rasmussen, number in bracket being from day before):
    McCain: 24% (25%)
    Mitt: 19% (19%)
    Huckabee: 16% (15%)

Florida (21 Jan, from SurveyUSA, number in bracket being from last time):
    McCain: 25% (25%)
    Rudy: 20% (23%)
    Mitt: 19% (19%)

California (today, from Field Research, number in bracket being from last time):
    McCain: 23% (12%)
    Mitt: 21% (15%)
    Rudy 13% (25%)

Tray, there is no clear frontrunner. Historically, by now, we would be seeing a candidate above 40%. We have yet to see anyone breaking the 30%, which means the race remains wide open.

  6. Tray Says:

Thank you! I am interested in Florida and the rassmussen poll had Romney at 25%.
This one came out after Nevada. I was wondering what the latest polls were saying but I heard there may be one out today. Fox is promoting the older ones and not showing the one with Romney leading very often.

I hope Florida goes to Romney.

  7. SGS Says:

Yeah, quite a few polls have come out today. First, keep in mind that Fred has dropped out, so the number may be somewhat off. And second, as you can see, we pretty much are 3-way tied.

    Strategic Vision Florida GOP Primary
    John McCain 25%
    Rudy Giuliani 22%
    Mitt Romney 20%
    Mike Huckabee 18%

St. Petersburg Times Florida GOP Primary
    John McCain 25%
    Mitt Romney 23%
    Rudy Giuliani 15%
    Mike Huckabee 15%

Public Policy Florida GOP Primary Poll, conducted January 22nd, 2008.
    Mitt Romney 28%
    John McCain 25%
    Rudy Giuliani 19%
    Mike Huckabee 15%

Insider Advantage Florida GOP Primary Poll, conducted Jan. 20th-21st, 2008.
    Mitt Romney 24%
    Rudy Guiliani 19%
    John McCain 18%

  8. SGS Says:

Oh yes, Insider Advantage is higher on reliablity rank than Strategic Vision. The other two, I am not sure.

  9. Citizen Says:

Well. come on! Let’s vote for anyone who has the means and guts to throw their hat into the ring and stay long enough to be a consideration at the end of the primary process. That’s democracy in action. Sad, it doesn’t matter what the convictions or integrity of the individuals who run are. So long as we have an election, that’s all that matters. We’ll elect someone that we can eventually push out of office and deride them as the essence of our nation’s problems and the further defilement of our republic. It appears that as a nation, we haven’t had the heart to demand full accountability of presidential candidates without allowing them to sweep “red flag” issues under the rug. No wonder that “We the People” have so little faith in our elected officials. No wonder that influences outside our nation find it easy to lobby for their choice of candidate regardless of what that means to “We the People”.

So all that I can do is hope and pray that God will miraculously orchestrate the election process to produce a candidate who will prevail to win the election and overcome the hai;storm of slings and arrows that will surely follow from other interests (not necessarily American).
