Poll #17 - Have You Done Any of the Following to Support Mitt?

January 21st, 2008 Posted in Fundraising, Mitt Romney, Polls

This is the poll is the brain-child of David Kim, which is good as I have been having a hard time thinking of good polls recently. The purpose of this poll is two-fold: help you see what others have done, and to educate people on all the different ways they can help make a difference for Mitt. If you have questions about any of these please ask in the comments and we’ll update the post to answer your questions.

Anyone get all 13?

  1. Nate Gunderson Says:

I got 10 of the 13 - missing the bumper-sticker, yard sign, and casting the vote. My wife is against putting any sort of bumper sticker on or I would. The snow is too deep to put a sign in my yard, but I will. And Utah doesn’t vote until Feb. 5th, so I’ll get that done too.

Though I haven’t done bumper-sticker or yard signs I’ve given away a lot of both. I have about 30 of each at my house that I picked up while volunteering in Iowa. No, I didn’t steal them, we had them in the van when we got a last minute assignment to attend some precincts and forgot to return them in the rush.

I got 12 out of 13…haven’t been able to get out to an early state due to work. There’s a bunch of easy stuff that I’m surprised have pretty low adoption (e.g. bumper stickers, yard signs). The first bumper sticker I’ve ever put on my car is for Mitt…the bandwagon effect is real. (no Nate, this is not directed at you…I suppose marital bliss is a good reason not to put a bumper sticker on the car ;-)

    Great post David and Nate!

    OUTSTANDING!

  4. Nate Gunderson Says:

If I lived an any other state besides Utah I’m sure I could veto the anti-bumpersticker thing. In fact I think my wife would be on board - but since it is virtually unnecessary I let her win that.

Besides it’s a good trade-off - I’ll let you say no to a bumpersticker if you let me go to Iowa.

I have ten out of 13 and am wondering where I can get a yard sign?! I mailed my absentee ballot on Saturday–Californians have been voting for a couple of weeks already. Go Mitt!

  6. David Kim Says:

    Nate, that’s a very good trade-off…nicely done!

  7. Emily Says:

I’ve voted in Florida already, we have two weeks of early voting up to the day. I admire anybody who can do phone banking and going door to door, I did it for GWB and swore I would never do that again, not that I had a bad experience at all, but too shy. I’ve got the bumper stickers (2), though, and even though it makes me a tad uncomfortable (because it shares the backside of my van with a “Choose Life” license plate and is so stereotypically “Mommy”), I do it because it is the least I can do and is a small way of saying in my conservative community that to this person for whom the Pro-Life cause is important, I support Romney. After all these years of driving a minivan, soon to be a large van, I look forward to the day when I can drive a sweet little Jaguar!

  8. SGS Says:

Hey Emily, that’s a great idea. One of the biggest arguments against Mitt is how he has “flip-flopped” on pro-life stance. We all should put Mitt AND pro-life stickers on our vehicles to combat against this false accusation!

  9. Luke Says:

Nate, I got the same score as you! Go Brothers!

  10. Carol Velardi Says:

I went to the rally in Orlando today - fantastic, enthusiastic crowd! All the news channels are showing the enthusiasm - one even called it an “overly enthusiastic” crowd. Afterward my ten-year-old son was interviewed by the local radio, and I was interviewed by someone from the Wall St. Journal. I was happy to share my “overly positive” opinion. They wanted to know if knowing that Romney was using his own money in the campaign bothered me. I stressed that he has raised more money than any other candidate and that his level of fundraising was evidence of his level of support throughout the country. They also asked if I thought he was “electable.” I said I thought he was very electable because of his incredible record of experience. Compared with either Hillary Clinton or Obama, his record of success and accomplishment would completely overshadow their absence of accomplishment. Also they asked about the religion. I said that his talk in Texas hit exactly the right note - stressing the primacy of the Constitution while affirming his own personal faith. I hope more and more people have the chance to hear his message.

  11. Karen Says:

Great post. I had a pretty good score - but it gave me some more ideas.

I left a slew of upbeat comments on blogs today. There seems to be more and more positive comments being posted - which gives the sense that Romney’s support is growing. I think we can make a difference.

  12. ASLguy Says:

I am concerned about early votes in FLA because they realized that Mitt can be great president and wish to change their votes. You know what I mean?

  13. Tray Says:

Hey Carol Awesome campaigning for Mitt. I hope Florida falls hard for Mitt.

  14. Vic Lundquist Says:

    Yes Carol, AWESOME!

I will look for your comments in the Journal.
