Huckabee: The Constitution is a “Living, breathing document”

Is anybody in the MSM going to call Huckabee on this stuff? (H/T: Hotair)
You can click through the link to get the whole story, but the gist of it is that Huckabee is using the classic liberal “living, breathing document” arguement to justify his statement the other day about how we need to change the Constitution to fit with “God’s standards.”
Okay, all of this stuff is ridiculous…but the icing on the cake is that Huck’s own website states “I firmly believe that the Constitution must be interpreted according to its original meaning, and flatly reject the notion of a “living Constitution.”
Who’s the real flip-flopper?

I find that extremely funny that his words are directly on his site. I looked and I saw it. I wonder if they’ll go in and change it.
I’ve got a screen capture in case they do.

Anyone find the leno video from yesterday? Not even on leno/romney/utube site. Well either way, hope he got some rest before it. On that staples/ap video i could see bags under his eyes.
He’s got that old school work ethic work till you drop. Thats admirable and certainly hard to do. He’d probably have less gaffes and word slips if he had less but more concentrated meetings. As it is i always get the sense hes worked himself into a dizzy frenzy isn’t sure where he is or what he was just talking about. I watch all the video of him every day.
sure maybe a few dozen or hundred people see him everyday but only one 30 second utube clip goes to tens of thousands everyday or two. I think it would serve him better if he were always in top form for those clips.
Anyway just a tip from uncle walley, huck suffers from the same problem alot since is iowa numbers picked up. McCain has since New Hampshire. I expect to see Fred seem the same now.
SLOW DOWN AND FOCUS MITT! (contrast this with the pleading of GO FRED GO!)

The MSM will not call Huck out on any of this, as they would love to run against him in the fall. This is why Huckabee is being treated more “hands off” by the media.
Can you imagine if Romney said something like this? CNN would dedicate 3 hours of primetime coverage to “Breaking news - Romney’s words on the constitution”. And of course, all your talking heads would say how Romney cleary is a bible-thumper, etc.
But, thank god for the internets and talk radio, as it’s helped us conservatives see what is really going on out there.

About the Leno appearance last night. Maybe shiggz was right, he seemed tired and off his game. So here we go…
An Open Letter to Governor Romney: Where’s the Good Humor?
This may be an “Emporer Has No Clothes” moment, but my take on last night’s Leno appearance was this: It didn’t hurt, but it didn’t help either. In my view it was a squandered opportunity.
If you compare it to May’s appearance, where you were loose and funny, last night was just a regurgitation of standard stump fare. Granted, Leno was more serious in his lines of questioning and it came off more as a one person debate or a Meet the Press interview, but people don’t tune in to Leno to hear only serious issues. You need to let your good nature and cheery humor shine.
My concern is your spirits seems to be lagging, so don’t let this further dispirit you. My point is thus: you simply didn’t connect with the Leno audience last night, and they are representative of many other voters. You got in a groove in Michigan last week, but you can’t rely on any kind of bounce, what with the media sniping going on.
To avoid coming across as stilted and scripted, you need to loosen up a little, look into the camera, and let your true nature shine through. Say the same things, but use different words. It’s not the message, it’s the delivery. Be warned, we don’t want or need an entertainer and chief, but to be an effective president, you need to connect with people and win them over. The audience only reacted once or twice last night, and I would not call it a wild reaction. That’s too bad, not devasting, but easily corrected. Just be yourself.
We’ll be in Florida this week, drumming up support for you ahead of their primary! Take heart, and show it a little more.

Huckabee has totally sold out to the right and should not be considered a serious presidential candidate. I believe he and Fred are simply running for the vice presidency.
