Hey Vic,
could you post some of the pictures up on yahoo or wherever of McCain holding up the “Stop Global Warming” signs with the Canadian flag on them? What a lousy attempt to do some absolute last minute to pander to the more liberal leaning independents before republicans have enough time to really see it and change their minds!

Just went to the carbon coalition website that McCain is endorsing with his sign. They have links to recommended videos to watch, and one of them is to a “peak oil” video. Peak oil has been proved wrong again and again, has been used by environmentalists for decades to justify pushing for heavy restrictions on transportation, and the fact that McCain is pandering to it speaks volumes to me.

That’s funny. Even CERA, the ultra optimists admit peak oil will come.. eventually…
Seems to me that Matt Simmons (a republican who has served as an energy advisor to the Bush administration) is one of the most visible peak oil educators. He is hardly an environmentalist.
How about Al Bartlett, republican congressman from Maryland. He is Chairman of the Peak Oil congressional caucus.
