The news media picking up my story?
Here is a post by Thomas Burr , that noticed the same things on Mike Huckabee’s OFFICIAL blog that I did.
However, my bog post actually contained links so people could see the lovely comments all for themselves! Here are a few, see my previous post for the links. Even if Huckabee takes them down (please watch to see if he does) what does it say about him that they left them up for so long? As I said, there were 190 pags that had the word “Mormon” on them. Some of those pages had many, many different comments by different people attacking the church… All in all I bet there were about 400 anti-Mormon comments on the page, and I found about 2 comments warning people that it was getting a little crazy…
“As evangelicals, we cannot stand for this Mormon garbage to get into office,” wrote Chase Colasurdo. “They even believe Jesus and Satan were brothers. My vote is God’s vote, Huckabee 08.”
And these:
“Finally,” Suzanne Hultquist wrote in a blog post with four exclamation points. “Mike Huckabee has the courage to tell the world [who does not already know] what Mormons truly believe about Jesus. Thank you.”
Another said someone should be bold enough to “completely expose the strange beliefs of the Mormon cult” on television so that the public would know it doesn’t want a Mormon for president.
Huckabee spokeswoman Alice Stewart did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday afternoon.
Again here is my origional post, that has many more quotes, and the actual links to Mike Huckabee’s website. Please monitor these links to see if the comments have been removed.

12/03/2007 02:12 PMI would never vote for a mormon, they are a cult and not a legitimate religion. Yes, they have a right to exist and run for office, I have a right not to vote for them also. They do not serve the same God as Christians and we might as well elect a witch.
Here is the link, as of Monday Morning, and it is still here on Mike Huckabee’s official website.

I’m glad you are bringing up this point. Remember his wife’s blog that had comments posted slamming Mitt’s religion? My first thought was: how hard is it to moderate your comments section? The 5 brother’s blog moderates. I have a family blog and I know it’s just a matter of hitting a button. It’s frustrating to see Huck play the victim card so well and the media lap it up when Mitt in actuality is the one on a uphill climb fighting religious bigotry. When Huck said that he answers more questions about his own faith than any other candidate, hey, that’s why I got so sick that day!!

700 bloggers sending out the vindictive, hateful, ad hominem laden snipes for and in behalf of Huckabee. Doing the Lord’s work so, you know, so he can take the high road.

I second Ron’s prediction. Drudge is huge. It’s there for everyone to click on.

The Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) is often accused by Evangelical pastors of not believing in Christ and, therefore, not being a Christian religion. This article http://mormonsarechristian.blogspot.com/ helps to clarify such misconceptions by examining early Christianity’s comprehension of baptism, the Godhead, the deity of Jesus Christ and His Atonement.
The Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) adheres more closely to First Century Christianity and the New Testament than any other denomination. For example, Harper’s Bible Dictionary entry on the Trinity says “the formal doctrine of the Trinity as it was defined by the great church councils of the fourth and fifth centuries is not to be found in the New Testament.”
One Baptist blogger stated “99 percent of the members of his Baptist church believe in the Mormon (and Early Christian) view of the Trinity. It is the preachers who insist on the Nicene Creed definition.” It seems to me the reason the pastors denigrate the Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) is to protect their flock (and their livelihood).

Laura Ingraham mentioned it on her show as well this morning.

The Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Missions Board has been on an anti-Mormon campaign for decades, ever since they noticed that about 40% of Mormon converts in the US were coming from Baptists. The NAMB’s web page has lots of anti-Mormon literature. They distribute this stuff to all Baptist ministers. There is no way that Huckabee did not see it or read it during his 12 years as a pastor (1980-1992). In 1998 he was a key speaker at the SBC convention held in Salt Lake that gave delegates an SBC produced video and book in order to prepare them to go out en masse and “call Mormons to Christ.” Huckabee denying that he knows much about Mormon beliefs is simply a lie. If he would release the 600 or so sermons he gave in his 12 years as a pastor, I have no doubt that several would criticize Mormon beliefs. If he claims he did not save his sermons, we know he is lying, since the creation and presentation of them is the main thing a paster is paid to do, and any pastor who thinks he is good at his job will save them so he can turn them into a book someday. Huckabee brags about having a “theology” degree (he got a bachelor’s degree in Religion and dropped out of a theology MA program), and it is hard to believe that he never got exposed to the anti-Mormon message of the NAMB either in a class or during other Bible college programs, not to mention in the congregations he attended before or since!
Huckabee specifically invites his fellow Evangelicals to differentiate among the candidates on grounds of religion. He throws out one of the typical anti-Mormon bombs in an interview with the NY Times. And he tolerates anti-Mormon statements being posted for all to read on his blog.
If the statements questioned Giuliani’s character because he is Catholic, would the news media let it slide? Would Huckabee leave them up? Clearly, Huckabee or the people he has put in charge of his web site are more than happy to have their supporters read attacks on Mormons on the official Huckabee web site. Those bigots act as surrogates for Huckabee. What has he done to discourage this anti-Mormonism? Nothing.
Huckabee is another one of those religious ministers with feet of clay, whose religion is perverted into a means of self-agrandizement. Preaching for power is just as venal and hypocritical as preaching for riches.
