Rally for Romney — Orange County, CA
THANK YOU to all those who participated tonight across this great nation of America in the Rally for Romney events. There were about 100 volunteers that attended our rally in Irvine, CA tonight.

Ann expressed gratitude to everyone attending the many rallies tonight. She said that what was being done at the rallies across America tonight had never been done before in presidential politics.
In the pre-meeting with Ann, she provided some insight into all the planning that goes into the many fund raisers and campaign stops. Tonight, the Governor was at the rally in San Diego and she said one of her sons was at the Las Vegas rally. Her brother was at the Florida rally. As the pre-meeting was ending, she had to leave for about 45 minutes to give an interview to the CBS News affiliate in Los Angeles (KCBS, Ch. 2) with Stacy Butler. Ann said that she and Governor Romney were hopeful that tonight’s nationwide rallies would bring in many first-time volunteers as well as new contributors through their efforts.
Ann was asked how she and Gov. Romney are holding up. She said she is “doing great”. One of the organizers tonight told me the Romney’s are making four to six campaign stops a day, working 14 to 18 hour days every day. Gov. Romney has had a cold lately, but he is over it now.
Mrs. Romney expressed gratitude many times during the evening. She graciously went from table to table to meet people. She was most optimistic and full of energy and expressed her confidence that “we have a good strategy to win the nomination” and that “we have the best candidate.”

Kevin Gabisini (Newport Beach), Cold Calling. This was Kevin’s first time working in any campaign.

Lisa Cowan (Laguna Beach) and her husband (Bob) received several $1,000 donations as well as many other contributions.

Steve Samuelian (Laguna Beach) has been a huge supporter of the Governor since Day One. He is always there for Mitt!

Daniel Seminario is an Orange County campaign volunteer who assists in driving for Ann whenever she is in town, which has been often these past months.
At the barbeque event I attended in Irvine a few weeks ago, Gov. Romney commented that what keeps him going at a high energy level every day is getting out across America and meeting so many wonderful people. Mrs. Romney has said that many times as well. I got to chat with Daniel tonight for about 10 minutes and he is a great example of the “great people” to whom the Romneys refer. Every time I have the privilege of attending any of these events, I come away completely impressed by the caliber of people Gov. Romney is attracting at the grass roots! This is work. But without exception, every person involved is cheerful, happy, excited, optimistic, and determined. For those reading this post: If you ever wanted to make a difference in the world, in America, now is the time to get involved. It really is fun. Governor Romney is going to be the Republican nominee and why not join the winning team now!

My daughter, Melissa Abernethy (San Clemente) making her debut into presidential politics.

Erin & Kristen Riley (San Clemente) with Ann. This is their first time campaigning; Jan Riley was also at the rally.

Marian Clayton (Boston) & Lisa Clayton (Newport Beach) worked hard keeping everything running smoothly during the rally. Marian is a marketing manager working full-time in the Romney for President campaign; she is the person charged with organizing tonight’s event in Irvine, CA. Marian could not disclose results, but she informed me that they met their goals for both attendance and contributions for the evening.

I was there at the SLC Rally for Romney and if Mitt runs government like he runs his campaign, he will really shake up Washington! He will stop the free ride. He makes everyone accountable for what they say they will do, even the volunteers.
I have volunteered on other Presidential campaigns including Reagan’s, however Romney’s by far is the best organized. The difference is amazing; everyone has a role and is accountable for it.
Romney has raised the most money for the primary election then all of the other GOP candidates. He also is the only candidate that puts HIS money where his mouth is, by contributing to his own campaign. I prefer a candidate that will pay for his campaign then cheat for it.
He has my vote and my contribution. After seeing how he manages his campaign I can trust the money is being used wisely to achieve the goals. More importantly I can trust how he will run Washington.

I would like to volunteer for Mitt Romney. I can speak and write Spanish, my experience has been in marketing and public speaking. Can you use my experience?
