“A professional politician is a professionally dishonorable man. In order to get anywhere near high office he has to make so many compromises and submit to so many humiliations that he becomes indistinguishable from a streetwalker.”
— H.L. Mencken
Thank goodness Mitt Romney is not a career politician and that he does not need to rely on politics for his profession.
Run Hillary, Run!

while I’m certainly not defending HRC by any stretch - we have to be careful not to make this into something it isn’t.
From what I’ve read - HRC is not the guilty party - it’s the Hsu guy. Now, until we can show that Hsu was an integral part of her campaign, or a close adviser, or spent time in the Lincoln Bedroom or something - HRC can just pass this off as an over-eager fundraiser who broke the rules.
Imagine if some guy was supporting Romney - and resorted to paying back family members who made political contributions to Mitt’s campaign.
Would that make Mitt guilty?
Of course, not - let’s applaud HRC for donating the money to charities - keep a wary eye on her (because, like the cartoon infers - it’s happened before), and go on promoting Mitt.

Flint, this story broke this week through the Wall Street Journal (Tuesday I think) and every day since they have published additional stories to shed light on this. Every campaign can and should monitor campaign submissions. I know of several people who have donated to Romney’s campaign who have had their contributions returned because they wrote checks from their businesses or they donated more than the $2,300 limit by accident, etc. Romney’s team is being vigilant to the side of conservative in my opinion.
The problem with the Clinton machine is that this is not their first time having to deal with this issue. It is one thing to “make a mistake.” It is quite another to repeat the same “mistake.”
I agree with the “throwing stone when living in a glass house” concept. And no candidate can know about or control supporters (Senator Craig), but a campaign can certainly be assertive in its vigilance. Gov. Romney’s team is and I do not think that Senator Clinton’s is, especially in light of past indiscretions.
