ONE MORE DAY
Q2 for Fundraising ends TOMORROW. That means we have ONE DAY left to cap off Governor Romney’s Fundraising efforts. We want him to have a strong showing for this quarter, so I would strongly urge you to please donate. If you haven’t donated yet, take that first step and jump on a phenomenal bandwagon called Mitt Romney for President. If you’ve donated in the past and have not reached your maximum allowable amount please donate again.
While any donation is appreciated, it would be extremely appreciated if you would click the following link and donate by credit card. By doing so you ensure that your contribution gets credited for THIS Quarter.

I gave another $50 today which make $100 for this quarter. It was hard but I convinced myself that this was an investment that has a high promises of return.

Mitt should be put in a cage on top of a car while traveling down the road for 12 hours to see what it feels like!
His actions are reprehensible, disgraceful and that of a pitiful-compassionless human being. Just think how he truly feels about the peoples of the USA if he can’t even have compassion for the family pet? Why would anyone support a person of this caliber?

GinnieG,
Nice of you to stop by. I wonder if you came by specifically to make your comment, but no matter. In response, I find it amazing that people are getting so bent out of shape over this.
First of all, he built a special wind shield for the carriage, so it wasn’t like he was getting 60 MPH wind in his face. Secondly, even without the windshield, it would have been lilke letting you dog ride with you in a convertable with the top down, or more common still, letting your dog hang his head out the window (which, right or wrong, happens all the time, by people who love their dogs). At least Mitts dog was secured, unlike a dog in a convertable who could jump out if spooked. Thirdly, apparently his dog really enjoyed it (I read in the article that the poop on the roof and window was evidence that the dog was traumatized, but come on, dogs poop, the wind probably blew it out of the cage).
Fourth, some have lamented that he should treat his dog like he treats his own children. I will go out on the limb of political correctness here and say, SAYS WHO. People who claim to love their dogs as much as their own offspring obviously don’t love their children enough. If you as a dog lover treated your dog the same as your children, you would never put him outside tied to a leash, make him sleep on the porch or in a 2 ft tall house in the yard, you would cook him 3 (balanced) meals a day, buy clothes for him, read him stories, spend about 1/4 of your income on him, spend countless hours stressing about how you can help him to become the dog he has the potential to be, attend his soccer games or piano recitals, comfort him when he is teased by his friends or breaks-up with his girlfriend…you get the picture. The fact is, our pets will never mean as much to us as our children because our children are a part of us.
Lastly, this happend almost 25 years ago. Do you judge the core character of everyone you meet by incidents that involved them 25 years earlier? Not to mention that you are supremely unaware of the full context surrounding said incident. Is that fair? Should we all do the same to you? I think all of us would be doomed, forever labeled as “reprehensible, disgraceful” and “pitiful-compassionless human being[s]“, since we have all made some pretty stupid choices in our lives. Hey, some of us as recently as, oh, say, yesterday.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, I think you are making far more out of this that you should be, and I believe your motives are far from pure (oh, the inhumanity!).

Wow, 25 years ago? Now that is a detail I didn’t hear. This whole time, I thought it happed recently. Though I’d agree, as my first thought, it would seem a little irresponsible to think of having your dog ride on top of your car. But it was really 25 years ago? GinnieG, anyone who couldn’t support Mitt Romney for this, is an really idiot. You drive by propagandist are starting to sicken me.
