Miller Time…

May 31st, 2007 Posted in 2008, Videos

“…I think that Rudy, as far as terrorism goes, is just entering his peak killing years and that is why I am for him.”

First of all Rudy is not in his peak killing years. Our solders are. We need someone at the top with competence, not anger. We need someone with strategy… Lincoln was always articulate… he didn’t come off like an angry guy, like Rudy. Neither did Washington. OK maybe Patton was, but he was a General. We need an angry general, or Secretary of Defense, but we need a calm president that can reassure our allies… but I digress… back to Miller.

MILLER: Well, I’m wondering at the TIME photo you’re showing. I don’t remember, but that must be them sort of aping the notes on an old TIME cover with his dad, George.

Listen, I am a Rudy guy. I’ve often said that. I’m going to introduce the mayor at an L.A. fundraiser later tonight. I think that Rudy, as far as terrorism goes, is just entering his peak killing years. And that’s why I’m for him.

But I must say that Romney is a pretty smooth customer. I think he’s done great in the debates so far. And I think his plan, and it’s a pretty smart one, is to lever the whole heist with Iowa and New Hampshire. Old school stuff. Spend some money there. Do some local ads. Put your bass widgeons on the ground. Shake some hands.

Then later in the summer you go out to Ames for that straw poll. Bus people in, or hay cart them in, or whatever they have to do. Show some muscle and then beat these guys in the second quarter earnings.

O’REILLY: But you’ve got a very — how important in this world is Romney’s appearance? Which, I mean, you can’t get more presidential looking than Mitt Romney.

I mean, look, if you were to make up a guy, this would be the guy, you know, that looks presidential. He’s got the jaw going on, the little gray thing in there. And I think that means a lot in America.

MILLER: Well, I do, too. But when you back it up with the fact that he’s competent, too. He ran a pretty tight Olympics. And you know, this is the guy who invented Staples. And I think he understands a step-by-step business plan. And I think the Staples thing is going to come out as adversaries best keep their head up, because it will be death by a thousand cuts with Romney. It will be a very…

O’REILLY: Staples, the Staples department store? Is that what you’re saying?

MILLER: Staples office stores.

O’REILLY: Yes, the office stores.

MILLER: Romney was there at the beginning of that.

O’REILLY: OK.

MILLER: So he’s as pretty savvy guy. Not only does he look good, he’s good at what he does.

How can you suggest that Mitt Romney - a LDS Mormon - who believes in the book of Mormon and John Smith is the right person to run this country? He may look right, talk right, but he’s NOT RIGHT! He’s a Mormon!! The common American could not go to church with him. (We can’t set foot in their temple - we’re viewed as “gentiles” and are unworthy!) To me - he’s the anti-Christ! Wolf in sheep clothing. DO NOT FOOL YOURSELVES - the Mormon issue is Bigger than he and his family let on.

Interesting what happens when you substitute “He’s a Mormon!!” for “He’s a Jew!!,” “He’s black!!,” or any other religion or race. It starts to sound a lot like the people that we are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. Look…America is a free country and you are entitled to your opinion, but we are a free people because we have decided to be tolerant of others and their beliefs, we celebrate the American Values that bind us together. Say what you will but Mitt Romney and his family represent true American values more than any one else running for President…or those who are putting their toes in the water because they are afraid they can’t swim.

    Libby-
You’re lack of knowledge of LDS people is apparent in your few words. It is JOSEPH Smith you refer to, not JOHN. I’ve never, NEVER, have heard an LDS person refer to others as Gentiles. Not even all LDS people can visit LDS temples, those that can’t are not looked down upon, shunned or thought of as “unworthy”, nor are members of other religions. And the fact that you say that he must not only be non-Christian but the anti-Christ…..that is so far off the mark that I won’t even go there.

Your uninformed, hateful, rhetoric will do little to convince others, but will only entrench yourself further in self-destructive hatred.
