Mike,
I’m still looking for the
or some indication of facetiousness. Especially since most actors would not qualify as a good POTUS
Do tell why you posted this statement… sarcastic or otherwise.
On a Fred Thompson side note, I do not like his work ethic (he doesn’t like putting in the late hours), nor his position on Civil Unions which is effectively the same as Chris Dodd-a Democratic Candidate.

This website: http://www.anotherronaldreagan.com says fred thompson is “another ronald reagan”. Well there is no person that is an exact copy of another person… besides we don’t want to go backwards in time… this is not 1979, and we are kidding ourselves if we try and pretend that it is…
so many people just look at the surface… I think if you dig into the issues Mitt is the New Ronald reagan more than anyone else…
But if you look on the surface, hey, Ron and Fred are both actors, so “Fred is the new Ron”, and “white is the new black” too!

Is there supposed to be a link to that website in the original post Mike?

Let me see…
Reasgen= Actor-> Governor (8 years)-> Presidential Candidate (1976, failed)-> Presidential Candidate (1980)-> POTUS
Fred= Actor-> Senator (8 years, passive)-> Presidential Candidate (2008, undeclared)
Fred ?= Reagen
Nope… What is the missing element? Executive experience and Strong Leadership.
So, let him run for governorship of Tennessee, then declare his Presidential Candidaticy in 2012 or 2016. Only then can we say he is similiar to Reagen

Or let him run as a Vice President under Mitt Romney and get one-to-one hand-on training from Mitt Romney, and get access to his pool of highly qualified people for his future Cabinet!

no… it was just 1/4 of a post… just an idea I wanted to bounce off people…
sorry, kind of 1/4 explain what I am thinking, 1/2 the time…
