Darrell: Good point. I don't think that this post is necessarily a negative against Giuliani and I do think MR's getting judges through a full Dem legislature is quite different.

I'm a huge Mitt supporter, so don't think this is a Rudy guy talking back.
I think this is interesting hipocracy...
I seem to remember something similar coming out a while back about Mitt's MA Judge appointments, and there being a very good explanation for them (politics not considered, but appointed because of their record on crime).
Let's not forget about what Rudy did to crime in NYC before we level charges on him that have also been leveled against Mitt!?!
This one's pure politics! Unfair to say about Mitt's liberal & gay judge appointments, but completely fair to post it when it's about Rudy's??

Gladiator,

Your problem is that you think Conservative equals Republican. This couldn't be further from the truth. Sean Hannity, self proclaimed "true conservative and intellectually honest" is tripping over himself as a shill for Guliani. Why? Because he is scared that Hillary will win. He is willing to compromise his core conservative principals to rationalize a vote for Guliani. He is convinced that Guliani is the only Republican strong enough to beat Hillary. He rationalizes Guliani's stance on the War on the Unborn by placing priority on Guliani's stance on the War on Terror and Jihadism (just what is that stance BTW?)

So many conservatives are like Hannity. They are so scared of Hillary taking the White House that they have already been intimidated into compromising their principles. Isn't that just as bad as Hillary winning? Our nation can survive another Clinton in the White House. We can't survive conservatives abandoning their core values.

This was in response to Rudy supporters who had a problem with me telling them that they weren't TRUE Conservatives on the Hewiit Blog. This is a message for Romney and his people as well.

To Rudy's supporter: The hole is dug...

Look if you want to be considered a TRUE Conservative, it encompasses a lot of things. It's not just a fiscal or military thing here. We're talking about everything! Social issues can't take a back seat if you are a TRUE Conservative and that's what happens here if you want Rudy to win. If you do then that's fine I don't have a problem with that. If you have a problem with me saying that you aren't a TRUE Conservative, I'm not the one wanting RUDY to win. Even McCain who I think is a Washington insider with no common sense lines up with what I believe but he's a different issue for me altogether.

Look in the General Election I will vote with who best aligns with my beliefs but as for my TRUE Conservative beliefs, that's not going to change. I will vote for the "electable" TRUE Conservative in the Primary and at least I'll know that I did all I can for the Conservative Movement which again I believe is what America really needs.

Just today I read that a 23 year old Teacher was having sex with FIVE DIFFERENT BOYS between the age of 14 and 15!!! UNACCEPTABLE! Where are these women coming from? What is wrong with them? Most are/or were married and have children. This is becoming a problem. This is supposedly a new problem. If this were a man he'd be locked up in jail for a long time. If this were my child I would be irate and hysterical that an adult would do this! And you would too! You would think that this is something that would've stopped or been stopped from ever happening again the first time it happened but last I counted it was somewhere around 12 teachers and who knows how many more are going to either 1) get caught if they're doing it already or 2) thinking about doing it. What do you do? Who do you think can best handle issues like this? This is something that can't be ignored or put on the backburner while we take care of Terrorists. I don't want to even think that one day my 14 year old son may have to be taught no to possible advances by his adult female teacher. I have to worry about my daughter when she gets older as it is...

We need a Pro-Active President that will make a true investment in straightening out the social decay that is happening here. One who will be an example for us. One who will give us a comprehensive effort in fighting not only the terrorists but will fight what's eating America up from within which is social acceptance of things that we know are wrong and shouldn't be tolerated in any form!

The example I gave isn't the only example and the sad thing is that this is mild in comparison to what else is happening in our country. There are plenty of social problems to go around.

All I'm saying that if we're TRUE Conservatives (not just fiscal or social but both) we need to WAKE UP and FIGHT! TRUE Conservatism needs to be advanced.

This was my post on Hewitt's Blog concerning Rudy supporters:

Why the pass, if you're Conservative?

TRUE Conservatives in this race who are SELLING OUT to Rudy are a joke! Yeah SELLING OUT. In this race there is only one TRUE conservative and that's the one who says and is doing what's necessary to get my vote. I'm tired of people calling a full conversion to my cause a "flip-flop". I don't care when they chose to become Pro-Life, Pro-Guns, and whatever...it happened. Mitt Romney is now bound to this conversion and he knows it. The only calculation in doing this is that he has to fight for my cause and if he doesn't, he's doomed. If it was Rudy who changed his views and joined me in what I believe then he may get my attention, but as it stands he doesn't. I don't care what he says to the contrary because the "contrary" for me is that he would be now Pro-Life. Just because Rudy is "honest" about his stances on things that we disagree with and then promises that he's going to fight against what he feels is "his" better judgement doesn't mean that he's a TRUE Conservative. WAKE UP! I can't tell you how angry I am that this is becoming a non-issue. And if this is how it's going to be, who are you going to look to when Conservatism as it stands is changed?

I'm a TRUE Conservative. I will not let someone tell me that they believe opposite of what I believe socially, to my face no less, and then tell me that they're going to do something about it. REALLY? Even though you feel otherwise?

Come on "Conservatives" it's time to rethink what you could possibly be doing to our movement. This is a Pro-Choice, Pro-Gun, Pro-Amnesty candidate...period. He's not changing that base fact and you're all swooning over him in spite of this?

If you feel that America needs moral clarity in addition to safety, less government, and economic success then Mitt Romney is the one to rally behind. If you want safety, less goverment, and economic success at the expense of our moral survival then vote for Rudy. If you think that the moral decay of our country and the social climate that our children live in is one that can wait another 4 to 8 years then by all means take that chance. As for me a TRUE Conservative I can't afford to do that.

I can't afford to let another Rudy come along in another 4 to 8 years and point to me and say that in spite of my better judgement regarding social issues I was able to look past that, why can't I now? I can't afford to let my child grow up in a society where they'll continually be taught that abortion is legal and therefore a viable option if they decide to go and have sex outside of marriage or where they're taught things contradictory to what I teach inside my home. Where the biggest "role model" of the free world's morality or lack thereof is labeled as okay by us as the adults of America, therefore it must be okay for them as our children.

I can't afford to vote for Rudy and you all need to WAKE UP and at least think about what you may be doing! If you are a TRUE Conservative you'll rethink it and if you still pick Rudy then don't say that someone didn't speak up. WAKE UP!
