CHARLESTON, SC - January 30, 2007 - Mitt Romney is campaigning today in the state that traditionally holds the nation’s first southern presidential primary.
The former governor of Massachusetts won a key endorsement yesterday from some prominent Republicans in the “Palmetto State.”
WBUR’s Fred Thys is roving the Romney trail there and joins WBUR’s Bob Oakes for an update from Charleston.
Romney Wraps Up South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. - January 31, 2007 - Former Governor Mitt Romney spent two days campaigning in South Carolina where he faced questions about whether his Mormon faith would be an impediment to his presidential aspirations.
Romney also received several important political endorsements while visiting the state
