Mitt Romney “John Kerry Should Apologize”
http://www.examiner.com/a…n_and_Iraq.html
Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a Republican who is considering a presidential run, said Kerry should apologize, particularly to the many soldiers from his own state serving in Iraq. Romney also said members of the Massachusetts National Guard are “more diverse, educated and prepared to do their job than at anytime in our countrys history.”
“No matter where you went to school, or how many degrees you have, most people understand the strength of our nation comes from every corner of America,” he said.
I have met members of the military that are more intelligent than John Kerry. His (John Kerry’s) comment was out of line.

Addendum:
This comes from Hugh Hewitt
Governor Romney’s statement on Kerry’s slander:
“Senator Kerry owes an apology to the thousands of men and women serving in Iraq, particularly the many patriotic soldiers from Massachusetts who come from all backgrounds to defend our freedoms. As Governor, I represent thousands of Massachusetts National Guardsmen. They are more diverse, educated and prepared to do their job than at anytime in our country’s history. No matter where you went to school, or how many degrees you have, most people understand the strength of our nation comes from every corner of America.”

It isn’t difficult, wherever you look, to find someone more intelligent than Kerry.
And to think this buffoon was as close as he was to becoming President of the United States.

Kerry has and always will be out of touch. I know college students who have given up their education for awhile to serve in Iraq as reservists in the Marines. Maybe John should fly to Iraq and meet them.

Where did Romney serve in uniform? Obviously he hid out in the same place as Bush and Cheney. Romney is a hack who will never get the GOP nomination, let alone be president. Fortunately his mud and sleaze companion Healy will be out next week, and Romney will also be a distant memory soon enough.

Bob,
Did you serve in uniform?

The vast majority of Americans have not served in uniform. In fact, probably our greatest President, Abe Lincoln never saw combat. I think none of us would say Lincoln was a bad President for preserving the union and leading the destruction of the instution of slavery. He did not need military experience to do that did he?

I just read an article about an “apology” here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061101/ts_nm/usa_elections_kerry_dc The interesting thing is he doesn’t apologize for saying something that was wrong but that the joke was botched. He’s sorry that it wasn’t funny, that’s it. He probably didn’t mean to infer what he did, and realizes it came out wrong, but its just to much pride for him to swallow to make a legitimate apology. Furthermore, his half-apology was probably only provoked because some of his own party spoke up about it.
I wander how crazy the media would been if Romney had said the same thing. Afterall when Kerry used the term “tarbaby” three years ago when he was a presidential candidate there was no apparent disapproval by the media. It’s not what is said but who says it with the MSM.
