Deg,

Online polls probably don't mean a whole lot and aren't predictive of much. What they can show is the level of "devotedness" of supporters. Also, for someone like Romney who still has poor name recognition in general, the more of these he wins, the more people on both sides will take him seriously as a contender (in a small way).

Does anyone have any idea how past online polls reflected with the real outcome? Online polls are really something new to me, and I'm wondering how comparable are they with reality.

Any ideas?

It's amazing how the straw polls http://www.strawpoll08.com/ were dramatically affected by the call of support from the blog site.

On the 29th of August, Romney had less than 324 votes and now he has 344 votes for the month.

The Junk poll got about a 1000 hits, and the daily polls well by 10:00 there already 10 plus votes.

So I'm guessing there most of the Romney supporters visit this website.

It will be quite interesting to see the numbers grow and grow and grow.
