Destination Iowa - Mission To Meet Governor Mitt Romney
June 15th, 2006 Posted in Analysis, Commentary, and Editorials, Iowa, Site News
Today will be the last day I blog from home here in Kentucky until probably Monday. Tomorrow I will take off for Iowa where as Jeff posted in a previous message he and I will get to meet personally with Mr. Romney. I’ll be staying with Jeff in advance of the meeting, and we plan to try and blog together tomorrow night. I have been trying for a couple of months to make this a reality, and finally everything has fallen into place so that it is. After the meeting I plan to offer insight about the man who shall be our next President. I keep hearing that he’s “the real deal”, and I look forward to seeing that personally. Look for blogs over the weekend about it all.

AMC,
I don’t know if it’s appropriate, but it would be great if you could record your conversations with Gov. Romney and post the MP3’s up here on the site.
Just a thought

Please tell Governor Romney that if he goes along with (in other words, does not veto) a substantial increase in the minimum wage in Massachusetts, he risks losing the mantle of the true fiscal conservative in any GOP presidential nominating process. It’s crazy and self-defeating for Mass. to raise the minimum wage at all (given New Hampshire’s much-lower minimum), but Romney should at least work to limit any increase to as small an amount as possible.

Mitt Romney may record the conversation, for reveiw afterwards (he has done it before on tv). Have fun, and best of wishes!
Maybe Mitt Romney will announce an official presidential campaing in you’re conversation (Mitt Romney will probably wait untill after the elections finish this year)!
