April 12th, 2006 Posted in News Articles

Here’s a surprisingly long piece from TV station Eyewitness News 3 in Hartford CT. It really shines for Mr. Romney.

Do you have a direct link? I think they already moved it off their main page.

By signing a healthcare plan that increases gov spending (your state subsidize lower cost plans) and effectively taxes small business owners more (owners have to buy insurance for employees) and works to drive businesses out of Mass (Socialism sucks and smart hard workers know this). So you lost my vote and Texas will get some of MA’s best new startups. Thanks for the businesses, I look forward to destroying any chance you think you have in 2008. Try to be more like Reagan and less like Teddy. PS - I am going to suggest all my liberal friends use my grandma’s MA address to get low cost healthcare at your state’s expense. I know a hippie couple that needs help conceiving a baby and buddy that isn’t cheap, now MA can help them. Saw you on Cavuto and just thought it was sad to see a Republican talk like you. Republicans should say things like “I will low taxes”, “I am serious about small federal government and reduced spending”, “I will only nominate more Scalias” and “My top priority is working to secure the border.” Otherwise they do not deserve the support of real conservatives. Your are fake conservative and your polling data is not accurate.

    Eric, two things.

First, you obvious have no idea what Gov. Romney is about, much less this healthcare bill. Try reading up some before you post knee-jerk reactions. If your friends us a MA address (which wouldn’t work anyway), they still have to buy their own healthcare. Thus they would be paying for their own fertilizing. Read up and then come back for some real disscussion.

Second, how can someone from Texas try to make the comparison to Teddy. Have you looked at the national debt and our current spending. Compare that to every major organization that Gov. Romney has been a part of. Notice a difference? Gov. Romney has turned them all around, from in the red to large cash on hand. If you want a chance to get back to sane government fiscal policy then he is the real deal.

Boy, I hope that people give this plan a little more attention than that. This is much more innovative and free market based than the single-payer socialistic mess that Eric seems to believe it is.

I’m not 100% sold that it will work. But it is a good attempt. Otherwise we will be facing a socialist upswing over the next 20 years.

Better to fix the problem now on our own terms, as we tried with social security last year, than to let things disintegrate.

Even if it needs fine tuning in the end, which it probably will, Romney has his signature attached to it as the author and creator. Absolutely brilliant move!! The health care problem is solved, at least on paper, by a Republican! A REPUBLICAN!!!!!!

I have and will be posting periodic pro Romney comments on my blog. Go here:

It is not a political blog, per se, but I have been pro Romney from day one (even before, I handed out bumper stickers in New Hampshire for his dad as very young kid), and will be working for him in South Carolina as the election approaches.

Great blog and the best to you concerning your family.
